Cam opted for cum and cuddle. That was my first choice, but I didn’t push him to choose that.

I may have been waiting by the bed, bent over, but it was his decision to start us off by sticking his tongue there.

As much as he seemed fully recovered from both the fire and what I did four years ago, I wasn’t taking any chances.

I was waiting for him to say it first.

I slipped out of bed, pulled on some sleep pants and headed into the kitchen to scrounge up some breakfast.

I cracked some eggs, splashed a bit of milk in the bowl, then scrambled them with a fork before dumping the mixture into a skillet. After throwing some slices of bread in the toaster, I tended the eggs.

By the time the toaster dinged, the eggs were done.

I pulled two plates from the cupboard, spread peanut butter on the toast, then cut up a banana to add on top.

I divided the eggs between the plates, placed a fork on each, and dropped a bottle of water in each pocket before carefully making my way to the bedroom.

“You’re awake.”

Cam put his phone down and smiled as I entered the bedroom, kicking the door closed behind me.

“I think I’m starting to get restless if I’m alone in bed. When I woke up, your side was still warm. Thanks for making breakfast...and the view.”

I looked down to where he was nodding and sure enough, my trimmed pubes and the base of my dick were obvious. The weight of the bottles had pulled my pants down.

“A little help then?”

Cam crawled out of the covers towards me. I was mesmerized by his muscular back, undulating forward, his plump ass just visible as he arched his back and smiled. Never before had a little help been so sexy.

He tugged at my pants and they fell to the floor with a thud.

I sighed. “That’s not what I meant.”

“Works for me,” he said, before giving my dick a couple squeezes. Only after fondling me for a few seconds did he grab the plates.

I bent over to pick the bottles off the floor, but left my pants behind, leaving us both naked.

“Mmm. Seriously, peanut butter and banana toast. You are the best boyfriend ever!” I climbed in next to him, trading him my plate for his water. “Thanks. The hottest boyfriend ever, too.”

“That title belongs to you,” I said.

“Ugh..are we too much?”

“Nope, and who cares anyway?” I leaned over to kiss him. “You’re perfect for me, and I’m perfect for you, and it doesn’t matter what anyone else says.”

“You sure about that?” Cam asked.

“Why do I get the feeling I shouldn’t ask why?”

“Oh, nothing...just that Lucden is trending on social media today.”

“Lucden?”

“Yeah, it’s a portmanteau. Like Brangelina.”

“Tell me you had to look that word up.”

“What? You don’t think I’m smart?”

“Of course I think you’re sma-”

“Ok good, but I looked it up.”

I rolled my eyes. “That was the best the internet had?”

“Well, Cuke was an option.”

“Uh, Lucden is better. Someone really tried to use Cuke?”

“It’s a little too phallic. Even for a gay couple.”

We laughed over online strangers obsessing over what to call us, and enjoyed the moment alone together.

By the time we showered and dressed, everyone else was awake. Colton was in the kitchen with Alex, and O was lounging in the living room, across from Noah and Shane, who shared a couch.

“Well, if it isn’t Lucden.”

“Thanks, Shane. What are you doing here?”

“Wow. What a welcome! Can’t a coach check in on his athlete?”

“What? Are we starting training already?”

“You mean you haven’t been to the gym?”

“I went with Ty a couple of days ago. And-”

“He’s been getting enough of a workout with me,” Cam spoke up.

“Ew,” Noah said. “You’re like my little brother. I don’t need to hear that.”

“What? It’s not like you and Shane are celibate either.”

“I’m just going to pretend this conversation never happened, Cam.”

Shane ignored both of them. “To answer your question, Luke. The team’s meeting up.

Coach, Ty and the other assistants should be here soon.

We’re heading to a big get together with everyone’s families before the closing ceremony tonight.

Kind of a last hurrah. I guess you haven’t checked your schedule or your texts today. ”

Everyone’s family but mine.

“Left my phone in the room.”

“Of course you did. You’re gonna need to stay focused if you want to stay at the top.”

“Okay, okay. I got it. Won’t happen again.”

I felt Cam’s hand grab mine, then he leaned in and whispered, “You can hang out with me and my mom. Cecilia should be there too.”

“I know.” I swallowed. It was hard not to feel awkward about it. It was something I should be used to. Every time something like this came up, I couldn’t help my stupid feelings from happening. I wish my mom had stayed a bit longer.

“Cocktails, gentlemen?”

Colton pulled me out of my thoughts.

“Already? It’s not even noon,” Cam said.

“If I’m spendin’ time with my parents and the entire coaching staff, I reckon I’m gonna need a cattle-sized buzz.”

An hour later, I was thankful Colton had prepared us for lunch.

Whoever was in charge - Woodward or USA Gymnastics - had rented us an entire function room for our group overlooking the square in front of the Covent Garden Market building. The view was gorgeous and helped take my mind off the fact that I was the only one with no actual family members present.

None of the guys' younger siblings could drink, and neither could O, but I was keeping my buzz strong with an amaretto sour. Cam was nursing a Long Beach iced tea. Despite its strength, he had told me he’d be the responsible one today, and let me get hammered.

“Not too hammered,” he had said. I was trying.

“Is it just me or is Colton’s family only really talking to Alex’s? Well, his dad and brother really,” I asked Cam.

Cam glanced over at Colton. “They’re probably still dealing with my revelation, especially now that we’re public.”

“You really think so?”

“Well, look how awkward Colton looks.”

I gave him a once over, but caught Beau’s eyes on the return trip. They looked torn.

“See, he’s definitely fidgeting.”

Cam’s observation brought me back to the moment. “He’s standing next to his super-conservative, anti-gay father. He has every right to fidget. Do you think Beau is gay?”

“Whoa! Where’d that come from?!”

“Just an idea. He looks a bit uncomfortable over there as well.”

“I hope it’s your imagination and not your hormones. Colton said they seemed better after that dinner. Maybe Beau’s having conflicting thoughts about the whole thing?”

“You think they’d never seen a gay person before. I mean, both O and I were out before London. Where were they? Under a rock?”

“I’m sure they knew, but it’s different when it’s right in front of you, and your son is on the same team.”

“Jesus, that’s so backward.”

“Have you been to Texas?”

“It can’t all be like that.”

“Well, no, it’s not, but they’re small-town Texas. It’s night and day from New York City.”

I shrugged. “I guess despite Colton’s twang, I kind of forget everyone’s from somewhere different when we’re all training together.”

The telltale sound of lack of drink echoed up through my straw as I swallowed the last of my amaretto sour.

“It’s really okay. It’s not like they forbade us from being friends. Let me get you another drink.”

I knew Cam had handled the Walkers, so despite a strong buzz and a strong desire to push Harlan’s buttons, I was going to take the high road and leave them alone.

My gaydar is rarely wrong. I really do think-

“Here ya go. Good thing this is an open bar. You’d be an expensive date.”

I scoffed before taking a sip. “I don’t need a drink, you know.”

Cam side-stared me before we both said, “But it helps,” simultaneously.

We laughed, and rejoined Heather, Cecilia, O and Nia in mid-conversation.

The rest of lunch was drama-free. I could see Colton trying his best to rope me, O, and Cam into conversations with his family.

Cam and I did our best to help him out. I felt for him.

I really did. He wanted his family to see that being gay was only a part of who we were, that we were like everyone else.

And it would have been true except for the fact that our sexual identities were a hot topic with everyone at the moment. Lucden was still trending, and now the media was speculating about O.

Being gay was a hard thing to balance. On the one hand, I wanted to show the world that I was like everyone else, but on the other, I wasn’t. With society in its current state, being gay still meant you weren’t treated like everyone else. And there was the problem.

I hoped that with more visibility would come more acceptance, and eventually no one would care about sexuality anymore. But for that to happen, America would have to stop its love affair with labels, and its categorical need to pass judgment. My dad could use the same advice.

I wasn’t going to hold my breath. For either. I’d have to wait and see.

The guys and I returned to the suite.

“I’ll set an alarm and order pizza for dinner,” Alex said. “Then we can get ready and head over to the closing ceremony together.”

“Sounds good,” Cam said.

“I’m gonna crash in my room for a bit,” O said.

“Sure,” I said. “Crash.” I held up air quotes.

“Shut up, Luke.”

“I don’t know about y’all, but after that lunch, a catnap sounds good,” Colton said, heading to his room.

Cam yawned.

“Looks like you could use a nap, too,” I said, poking him in the stomach.

Cam smiled. “Looks like it.”

I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards our bedroom. “See you in a few hours, guys.”

With the door shut, I took Cam’s clothes off. Once I got him down to his briefs, he came alive. It was like the fewer clothes he was wearing, the more energy he had. He turned to face me, pushed me back against the door and quickly knelt to pull my shoes and socks off.

He yanked my pants down next, quickly followed by my jockstrap. He stood back up and pushed me over to the bed.

“I thought you were going to nap?”

“Are you really complaining that I just stripped you and am about to give you a massage?”

I raised my eyebrows. “Is that what you’re doing?”
