30. Kiera

KIERA

I wasn’t sure why I’d agreed to this. Of course, the idea of getting the three of them naked was alluring — what better distraction could there be from whatever fuckery was happening outside our iron cage?

It would be fun to have them walking around with their bodies on display for me, doing whatever I wanted the rest of the night. Maybe Spencer could make me cookies again. And the idea of making Dom swallow her pride… I couldn’t pass up on the opportunity.

But the reality of the situation was much chillier than my fantasy. I didn’t know the first thing about playing poker, and my captors had apparently figured out how to make it a team sport.

The winner chose who stripped next from the players who stayed in. I could fold to protect myself, but not in consecutive rounds. And given the choice between prolonging my suffering and fighting back, I was going to go down swinging.

“Four of a kind,” Leo smirked, laying two kings out in front of her. “Kiera strips.”

“Shocker,” I murmured, pulling off my left sock and tossing it at her.

Spencer quickly dove across the coffee table, snatching up the sock from Leo’s side and giving it a sniff.

“You’re such a pervert!” I protested as she shoved it into her pocket, but Dom just shrugged in Spencer’s defense.

“Don’t be a sore loser, Viper.”

“Spencer didn’t even win that round,” I pouted.

But before I could lodge another complaint, it was Dom’s turn to deal us in.

This was getting ridiculous — using my newbie status to my advantage, I’d managed to hustle Leo out of her pants and Spencer out of her shirt — but there were only so many hands that beginner’s luck would turn my way.

I was down to one sock, a bra, and underwear, and from my seat on the couch, my body was completely bared. All it would take was a few more bad hands before I’d lost everything — a fact that my opponents seemed to revel in.

Spencer wasn’t shy about letting her eyes roam over my exposed body, snatching up every scrap of my clothing she could get her hands on like she was collecting materials for a shrine.

Leo was more respectful in her gaze, but there was no hiding the outcome she was hoping for.

Every inch of exposed skin was a reminder that I was hers to break.

And Dom… I couldn’t tell if she was doing this because she wanted to fuck me or embarrass me. Probably both.

I wouldn’t make it easy for them, though. If they were going to tip the scale by working together, then it was only right that I created an advantage of my own.

As Dom laid the first three community cards, I watched Lady pad across the loft. Clearly, she could sense the feral energy in the air and knew it was time to take herself to bed. But as she crossed behind Dom, she drew my eye to just the tool I needed: a mirror.

It wasn’t a head on view, which was how I’d missed it in the first place.

But if I leaned just a little to my left, it gave me a pretty decent view of Spencer and Dom’s hands.

I’d still have to guess what Leo was holding, but it would be a lot easier to win if I knew two-thirds of the cards in play.

“Earth to Kiera?” Dom grumbled. “If you don’t make a bet, I’ll let these chucklefucks choose for you.”

“Ooo!” Spencer straightened up. “I call dibs on her bra.”

“Fine, bra,” I scoffed. “You’re not getting it off me anyway.”

“Confidence looks good on you, Princess,” Leo smirked as she took a peek at her own cards. “Unearned as it might be. I’ll wager my shirt.”

“Ha-ha,” I rolled my eyes.

Leo’s bet ended the round. Dom discarded the top card from the deck before putting another into the communal pool. So far, there was the eight of spades, the ten of clubs, the three of hearts, and most recently, the nine of spades.

Combined with the eight of spades and the eight of diamonds in my own hand, I already had three of a kind according to my cheat sheet. Which wasn’t the worst hand, but certainly wasn’t the strongest.

There was the chance I could get four of a kind on the next deal, but at this point, I probably would have folded to spare myself another sock.

But that was before I had the mirror on my side. A glance at Dom’s hand showed me that, with two threes, she wasn’t in any better a position than I was. Still, she haughtily wagered her shirt, probably hoping to psych me out.

To my left, Leo was biting her lip thoughtfully, no doubt running through the possibilities for my hand as well as her own. I had no clue what her cards were, but if I had to guess, she wasn’t totally out of the running just yet.

And before I could finish comparing her potential straight to my three of a kind, Spencer folded. “Bunny’s buzzing. I don’t like my odds. I’m out.”

“Wise move,” I nodded. I tried to school my face, but it was hard to hide my excitement. As it stood, my hand was worse than hers, so it was a relief to have her out. And since Dom’s hand was worse than mine, all I really had to worry about was Leo. “I’ll raise from my bra to my underwear.”

“Is that a raise?” Dom grumbled.

“I’ll allow it,” Leo waved her off with a smirk. “I’ll bet my sports bra along with the shirt.”

“Let’s hope you don’t lose,” Dom shook her head before dealing out the final card: the final eight.

There’s no fucking way.

I tried hard to swallow back my grin. With four of a kind, my cheat sheet told me that my odds of winning had more than quadrupled. I wasn’t quite fast enough to do the math on what Leo might have but…

“I’ll wager my whole fucking outfit.” Dom blustered from behind her losing hand.

“Bra and panties,” I raised, taking one last peek at Dom’s hand through the mirror. Such a bullshitter.

Leo thought for a long hard moment before nodding. “There’s just no fucking way you’ve got me beat. I’ll bet my boxers too.”

Her confidence shook mine. I knew it wouldn’t take her so long to make a bet if there was really no chance. But had I miscalculated my odds against her?

On Leo’s mark, I flipped my cards face up on the table and held my breath. My eyes flicked between her hand and the cheat sheet, trying to figure out what she had. A straight, maybe?

“Four of a kind” Leo murmured, jaw slack from shock. “Damn, I can’t believe you beat me.”

“Told you I would.” I smirked. “I can’t believe you were so fucking cocky.”

But Dom narrowed her eyes at me, cards still clutched in her hand. “What are you talking about?”

My face went red as I realized that she hadn’t set her hand down yet. I wasn’t supposed to know that she had lost.

Shit.

“Oh, I just thought since you hadn’t shown us yet…” My eyes flicked nervously to the mirror. “Maybe I confused your hand with Spencer’s? Why don’t you show us…?”

But a glance down at Spencer’s cards showed that she had set her cards face down when she folded. Fuck, fuck, fuck.

Dom looked over her shoulder, catching her shocked reflection in the mirror. “You little cheating bitch!”

Leo’s expression darkened protectively until she saw what Dom was looking at, and then a dark chuckle bubbled from her chest. “Oh my god, you didn’t.”

“I can exp—” but before I could finish my sentence, Spencer was shaking her head at me with a wicked grin.

“Look at you, Bunny. Didn’t think you had it in ya.”

“You guys were teaming up on me!” I threw up my hands. “I was just leveling the playing field!”

“You’re gonna regret that, Viper.” Dom growled, slamming her palms down on the coffee table. “At my table, cheaters always pay their due.”
