KIERA

Leaning against the garage door later that night, I waited for Leo and Spencer to rejoin me. I’d told them to throw on their best Greaser fits and meet me by the door in the living room.

Spencer appeared first in loose blue jeans, her leather jacket thrown over her shoulder. A sleeveless, navy shirt showed off her muscular, tatted arms. Her hair was slicked back, still allowing the lush waves to shine even under the product.

And then there was Leo. In black jeans and a tight white tshirt, her leather jacket — a black one she must have had buried in her closet — covered her muscles. Something for me to peel off her later.

My mouth watered at the thought of both of them.

Clearly, they were thinking about me too. Their eyes traveled down my body to the black sailor-collared dress I’d found in the back of my closet. I’d worn it as a Halloween costume years ago, refusing to be some cutesy 1950s girl and instead opting for a goth version.

When Leo and Spencer had raided Gabe’s apartment for my stuff, I didn’t think they’d grab everything. But I had yet to search for an item that I couldn’t find in their loot.

“We should just stay in.” Spencer licked her lips.

I pressed my palm into her chest, pushing her off. “Of course you think that.” A fire lit in her eyes as I nudged her away.

Turning on my heels, I opened the garage door and walked us downstairs. The automatic lights flicked on as we reached the landing. On the wall, I scanned for the keys with the Pentastar in the center and pulled the simple silver key off the peg board.

“Someone’s comfortable.” Leo raised an eyebrow at me as I walked toward one of the vintage cars.

I spotted the 1958 Chrysler Saratoga weeks ago, its unique teal color catching my eye. As soon as I saw it, I knew where I wanted to take it.

Without answering her, I waltzed over to the car. Like Vana White, I held out my hands and presented the ride to them. “What do we think?” It was a classic 1950s car, long wings along the back of the body making it look like a racing car.

“What on earth do you have planned?” Spencer shook her head, an eager excitement building on her face.

Leaning against the hood, I patted the car. “A drive-in.”

Leo sucked her teeth. “Oh, Princess. That’s pretty public. It’d be dangerous for you. All of us really.” It killed her to shoot down my idea, especially looking like this.

Shaking my head, I crossed my arms. “I’ve thought about this. It’ll be dark and it’s a Thursday so no one will even be there. No one’s going to be looking in our car. And even if they did, Dom tinted the shit out of these windows.”

Spencer and Leo peeked at the car, risk assessing every aspect of it.

Raising a finger before they could pass their judgement, I added, “We don’t even have to stop for snacks. We can just sit in the back seat and watch whatever’s on.”

“Tight fit.” Spencer leaned down and looked in the car. “Fuck it. We’ve basically been on lockdown for months now. We have to live.”

Hulking shoulders dropping, Leo sighed. “Fine, but no snacks.”

“No snacks.” Spencer and I agreed in unison.

Piling into the car, all of us took our spots. Leo drove, with me in the passenger seat and Spencer in the middle of the back bench. It was a short drive across town, sandwiched between Spencer’s old neighborhood and downtown Valemont.

As we pulled up to the ticket booth, I tried to get a glimpse of the decrepit sign. Hanging on for dear life, the lights were completely broken.

Before Leo rolled down the window, she threw on a pair of sunglasses.

A bored worker yawned as she asked Leo for the $10 entry fee.

It was too early into Summer for anyone to want to sit at a drive-in, especially on a weeknight. So as we pulled into the lot, we had our pick of spots — only a few stray cars parked across the grass.

The projector was just starting up when we found a spot toward the back. Bright white light flooded the towering, silver-sprayed plywood screen as a few pre-roll clips played.

Leo put the car in park and unbuckled her seat belt, grabbing my hips and pulling me toward her. In a matter of seconds, Spencer was climbing over into the front seat and moving me to the middle before sitting in the passenger seat.

Squished between them, we watched as the opening studio logos began to play. Leo flicked on the radio and tuned the station to the drive-in’s frequency. Jazzy music accompanied James Dean as he fell to the concrete and admired a toy monkey. Rebel Without A Cause flashed over the scene.

The opening credits had barely finished before Spencer was stretching her arm out over my shoulders, the warmth of her body radiating into mine.

Despite the days feeling like summer, the nights still warranted a warm blanket and a snuggle.

We watched as Jim was pulled into the police station. Leo’s hand moved to my thigh, resting on the hem of my black dress. From the corner of my eye, I saw her lick her lips as she looked down the sailor collar to my chest.

On my shoulder, Spencer’s fingertips began to tug at the fabric.

I cleared my throat, wondering if they’d forgotten that we were in fact in public — even if this place felt abandoned.

Leo’s breathing grew ragged as her hands moved up my thigh, pushing the cotton up my legs. “Fuck,” she muttered. Her thick fingers moved toward my thong, moving it out of her way.

A light whimper passed over my lips as I met her light brown eyes. “We’re not hidden enough, someone will see.”

Spencer’s deep laugh made me turn my gaze to her dark eyes, her hand undoing the doublebreasted buttons of my bodice. Bringing her lips to my exposed collarbone, Spencer groaned.

“Seriously… someone’s going to hear us.” My words became breaths as Leo teased my clit and Spencer’s mouth moved toward my hardening nipples.

Leo’s voice came as a deep growl. “Let them hear you, Princess.”
