KIERA
As the sun leaked into my room, I was still caught between Leo and Spencer. Their arms wrapped around my body from either side. It felt like they’d been fighting for the tightest grip in their sleep.
Holy shit.
My eyes bolted open as I remembered what I’d done last night. The warehouse. The body. Leo’s hands on my skin.
I should have been more concerned about what we did in that abandoned building. But that asshole deserved everything he got. What was more shocking was that I’d fucked my other captor.
And now, I was waking up squished between them.
As we all drifted awake, their holds on me only grew stronger. Then they were peppering either side of my cheek with light kisses.
“Ready for breakfast from Chef Spencer, Bunny?” Spencer’s voice was low, gravelly and rumbling through her chest.
If my mind wasn’t still racing from what I’d done the night before, I would have turned in her arms and shoved my tongue down her throat.
But two firm hands grabbed my waist and pulled my ass back into Leo’s lap. “Or you could stay up here with Doctor Leo and get a checkup.”
A moan escaped my lips as I felt her press her center into me.
God only knew what the fuck my sexuality was. But I was starting to think I was just Leo-and-Spencer-sexual.
Looking over my shoulder at Leo’s gorgeous face, I laughed. “I’m pretty hungry. We worked up an appetite.”
Spencer rolled out of the bed, planting a quick kiss on my cheek as she stood. Stretching, in just her boxers and a Nike sports bra, Spencer’s lean muscles tensed. Her patchwork sleeve of tattoos strained over the muscle.
Taking the opportunity, Leo climbed on top of me. Her body pinned me in place as I looked up at her and I felt a pulse of excitement jolt through my body as her hungry eyes took me in.
My pussy was throbbing from everything she’d done to me the night before, still desperate for more somehow.
I was still using her shirt as pajamas, and I could see her fantasizing about ripping it in half just to get closer to me.
“I’m not going to be able to stop myself now, Princess. This beast needs more of the maiden.” Leo’s jaw tensed, her eyes flicking from my eyes to my lips.
Careful to lick them slowly, I shrugged. “I think you’ll manage, my knight in shining armor.”
From the edge of the bed, Spencer lifted her foot and lightly kicked it into Leo’s side, sending her toppling back into the bed and giving me a chance to escape from Leo’s trap.
“Come on, Doctor Sex Pest, I need a sous chef.” Spencer tossed Leo’s shirt onto her face.
With a giggle, I slipped on a pair of pajama shorts. “You could say she’s Major-ly horny.”
A cascade of laughs came from Spencer’s chest as she finished getting dressed. “Oh, that’s really good.”
From the bed, Leo shook her head as she rubbed her palms down her face.
It was hot, watching her try to gain her composure. That I could make her such a mess. And if I was honest, I desperately wanted to succumb to her again. But this time, to let that beast she was clearly holding back fully come out
Before long, the two of them took off downstairs to make some food. I got dressed and followed shortly behind them.
There must be black mold all over this mansion.
Because there was absolutely no logical explanation for being able to giggle and make jokes the morning after killing a man. I should have been a mess, cowering under the sheets and sneaking my phone to call the cops.
A part of me was certain that whatever fate awaited me from Gabe couldn’t be worse than being a murderer.
But then I remembered how he’d made me feel, the way he was always flirting with his secretary. The way he’d flinch when I looked over his shoulder. The way he yelled whenever I didn’t do as he asked.
And then I remembered what Grant was going to do to that poor woman.
No fate would be worse than spending a lifetime cowing to men like that.
By the time I was downstairs, I’d reminded myself that being here with my captors was far safer than Gabe’s army waiting for me outside the gates of this sanctuary.
I stopped in my tracks as I passed the living room.
It must have been a big day. Even Dom was home, her laptop open as she sat in a plush chair at the corner of the room. She lifted her gaze from the screen, just enough to look me dead in the eyes before turning back to her work.
Fucking asshole.
Breakfast was a welcome distraction, thirty minutes later and Spencer had prepared a gorgeous meal for all of us.
“Thank you, Spence.” I smiled at her, a blush or the heat of the kitchen warming my cheeks.
Leo scoffed and leaned against the cool kitchen counter. “No thanks for the doctor? I did shit.”
With a laugh, Spencer rolled her eyes. “Yeah, peeled a fucking mango.”
“Got my hands all sticky too.” Winking at me, Leo passed me a plate.
There was a delectable buffet set out for all of us, cheesy eggs, crispy bacon, brightly colored fruit. A few warmed pastries were stacked up on a platter.
Once our plates were full, we all made our way back to the living room. Dom went back to work at her laptop, taking bites of food and sips of her protein shake between emails.
The rest of us laughed, throwing on Parks and Rec as a mutually agreed upon comfort show — skipping the first season because we all hated Mark. Two episodes in and my mind started to race again.
This time, it went back to what Grant had said about me. In the chaos of the cleanup, I’d completely forgotten about it.
He knew me.
I must have looked like I’d seen a ghost, because Leo grabbed the remote and paused the TV. “What’s wrong, Princess?”
Biting my lip, I met her eyes. “Why did he know me?”
“Who?” Spencer shook her head.
“Grant.” Leo tossed the answer to Spencer, not breaking her eye contact with me.
But Dom’s eyes lifted ever so slightly from the computer.
The adrenaline had worn off and now the details were becoming disturbingly clear. “Why the fuck did he recognize me? And what did he mean about the reward?” Shaking my head, I felt my chest tighten.
Spencer shrugged. “Well, they did project your face on local news from here to fucking Timbuktu.”
“And Gabriel did offer a reward. Probably just some rando who saw the news while he was taking a dump or something.” Hoping it would comfort me, Leo chimed in.
But that wasn’t right. “But I had a disguise and everything. And he mentioned his creepy sex trafficker bosses wanting me found.”
Dom’s chin lifted up, watching us closely now but keeping her mouth shut for once.
Spencer exhaled, trying to tie up the loose ends in her own mind. “His scummy bosses probably want to look like heroes turning in some missing girl. It might keep whatever heat they’re catching at bay.”
That could be true. Not that I had literally anything to go off of. I was being consumed by paranoia and my brain was willing to latch onto any plausible theory. No matter how outlandish.
Leo leaned forward. “You have every right to be concerned, but we’ve got you. Nothing is going to happen to you so long as we’re breathing.”
She was right. I knew she was right. But then why couldn’t I quiet this voice?
Then I caught on Dom, silent. In the months I’d been here, I’d learned little about her. The one thing I knew for sure was that she wasn’t one to keep her opinions to herself.
“Any thoughts?” I looked over at her, spotting somewhere to target my anger.
With a jilted laugh, Dom slammed her computer shut. “Come again?”
Her hackles were up, something about the question slicing through her armor.
Now Spencer and Leo couldn’t help but turn their attention too. Leo’s forehead wrinkled as she studied Dom’s face.
It was Spencer who hopped in first. “Yeah, what do you think about all of this? You looked at his phone, what’d you see?”
Dom swallowed hard, gaze flicking between all of us.
All eyes were on her.
