Chapter 1 #7

I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her in for a kiss. “They’ll love anything you fix. Stop worrying.” She blew out a breath and gave me a nod before disappearing down the hall.

The doorbell rang and then opened. I’ve got to remember to keep the door locked from now on. Storm and I fucked like bunnies, and I didn’t want them to get even a peek at her beautiful body .

They all piled into the kitchen and sat around the table without being asked to. “Help yourselves guys.”

“I knew Storm loved us,” Paulie said.

I took my seat at the head of the table and said, “Guys, I’ve got something to talk to you about.” They all paused with their forks halfway to their mouths. “After many conversations between Storm and myself, I’ve decided to retire.”

“What? We’ve got a show coming up! What are we supposed to do?” Russ asked in a panic.

“I’ll be there for that show so that I can announce it to the fans, but I have a suggestion for someone to take my place. Well, actually, Storm suggested it. Marcie would be a great addition to the band. Storm has heard her sing, and she says she’s good.”

“She is, but I’m not sure she can be talked into it. She likes the show, but she has stage fright. I don’t know how she could overcome that,” Russ told us.

“I think with some therapy and practicing in the studio, she’ll be a natural,” I suggested.

“I’ll talk to her about it if everyone is in agreement.”

A round of, “Hell yeah, man,” could be heard around the table.

“Sounds unanimous to me.”

“Now on to the other news. Storm is two months pregnant. I’m going to be a father!” Everyone patted me on the back.

“This calls for a drink,” Russ announced, going over to the kitchen cabinet, grabbing a few shot glasses and a bottle of gray goose from the freezer.

“Here’s to Storm, and may the baby look like her because we all know that Rowdy has big ears.” He laughed.

“You lie!” Rowdy laughed.

“Okay, so I’m going to take Storm to my cabin for a week. She can see what country living is like. See you guys next week for the show.”

Storm lifted her head from my shoulder where she’d been sleeping for the last hour and wiped the sleep from her eyes.

“I have a place I would like to show you. You’ll love it. Trust me.”

“Love what?”

“I’m taking you to my other home.”

“But our home is back that way.” She hooked her thumb, referring to the direction we’d just passed.

“Just trust me, okay? It’s a place your father doesn’t know about.

When she looked up at me with big blue eyes and a big smile, that did me in. She and our little peanut owned my heart.

“We’re here.”

“Rowdy Ranch?” she asked, reading the big metal letters on the gate.

The big gate swung open as I punched in the last digit of my security code.

You couldn’t see the house from here. I had built it as far back in the trees that I could for privacy reasons.

The whole thirty acres of land was surrounded by a security fence to keep nosey paparazzi and stalker fans at a distance.

We drove a good half mile before the ranch came into view.

Storm sat straight up; her mouth dropped open in surprise.

“Wow! This is beautiful. This explains why you drive this monster truck.”

I couldn’t help but laugh. “It’s part of the reason.”

“Don’t tell me you’re a cowboy and have a passion for country music,” she teased.

“That’s a big no…on both parts.”

“I can’t wait for you to see the rest of it.”

I’d always loved animals, and that was one of the reasons I built this place. I took in abused horses and gave donations to the ASAP. We rolled to a stop in front of a big two-story cabin. I jumped out of the truck and rushed around to help Storm from the truck.

“Come on. Let’s get some food in you and then I’ll show you around.”

Storm wandered about the house while I gathered ingredients for that night’s meal. I planned on treating her like a queen while we were here. Because that was what she deserved.

“You have a framed poster of Motley Crue hanging on your wall?” I could hear her snicker all the way to the kitchen.

“It’s not a poster. It’s autographed and I’m in the picture with them. They’re my idols.”

“Looks like a poster to me, and whoever photoshopped you did a terrible job.”

I grinned to myself even though she couldn’t see me.

It warmed my heart to know that she was feeling a little bit more at ease after my surgery and treatment.

Placing the last of the ingredients on the counter, I made my way to the den to find Storm gazing out over the back lawn.

Stepping up behind her, I slid my arms around her waist and pulled her tight against me.

“Mmmm,” she hummed, letting her head fall back against my chest. I squeezed her a little tighter and kissed her neck. “I love you, Mrs. Trent,” I whispered in her ear.

“What are you thinking?” She shrugged her shoulders and said nothing. I turned and picked up a small remote that was laying atop the mantle and pressed the red button at the top. It controlled all the lighting installed in the back lawn, including the pool and the hot tub.

“Wow.” She paused, turning to look at me with a grin. Her eyes danced with excitement. “I don’t even know how to describe it, because beautiful doesn’t do it justice. Can we go out there?”

“Sure. Want me to make us a sandwich so we can eat outside?”

“Okay,” she was quick to respond. Taking her hand, I led her to the kitchen where I had everything laying out on the counter. “I’ll make homemade Chicken Parm for you tomorrow night.”

“You can cook?”

“I’ll have you know that I’m a very good cook.” We each made our own sandwich and grabbed a bottle of water and stepped outside on to the patio area, surrounded by soft lighting, and sat at one of the glass top tables .

“If someone told me that Rowdy Trent Rockstar owned a cabin, I would have laughed in their face.”

“Here I’m not Rowdy Trent the Rockstar. I’m just Rowdy Trent. I get to be me, the person who gets to come home to his beautiful wife and soon to be little peanut running around in the grass.”

I walked her down to the barn and showed her the horses. I had at least twelve right now being rehabilitated. “Once a year we put on a concert to raise money for the rehabilitation and everything these horses need.”

Reaching up, she gently ran her fingers along my beard.

“You like the beard?”

“Loooove the beard.” Standing on her tiptoes, she whispered in my ear.

Her hands gripping my biceps caused my whole body to heat.

Pressing my fingers into her hips, I pressed my hard dick against her pussy, causing her to moan.

When she pressed her hand against my dick, I took a step back, causing her to pout.

“Rest and later I’ll treat you to the beard.” She exhaled with a heavy sigh. “And if you’re lucky, I’ll spank that ass.” That earned me a smile.

I left Storm alone at home the next day.

I figured she could use the day to relax and catch up on some sleep.

I gave her the excuse that I had a business meeting with someone local.

It was only half a lie, so I sat in my truck in the grocery store parking lot and called Dr. Fillman.

After we hung up, I’d been sitting in my truck for forty-five minutes with the motor running.

I couldn’t wait to give Storm the news, but part of me knew that she’d be mad because I kept it from her .

When I arrived at the house, Storm was in the pool.

I grabbed a couple bottles of water and my swim shorts before heading for the patio.

I picked a lawn chair and dropped my towel and sat back to enjoy the view.

As soon as Storm spotted me she climbed off the float and walked up the pool steps to me.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.”

“Rowdy Trent, I can tell when you’re not telling the truth because your right eye twitches,” she said with her hands on her hips.

“There’s nothing wrong,” I said, knowing the whole time that I was breaking a promise to my wife.

She cupped both my cheeks and made me look at her. “Rowdy, something is wrong. What’s going on? What aren’t you telling me? You’re scaring me,” she pleaded.

The knot in my throat began to grow and my brow broke out in a sweat. She reached for my hand, and I gave it to her.

“Cancer,” I said. “There’s the possibility they didn’t get all the cancer in surgery. There’s also a possibility that it could spread to my testicles, and you know what I’m thinking. Maybe they were wrong the first time.”

“Have you been keeping this from me? Have you been in pain?” she asked. Her neck and face flushed with what I was sure was anger at me for keeping it from her.

I looked into her eyes, and she knew without me telling her.

“Oh, Rowdy,” she began to cry. I lifted her chin so that I could see her face .

“It’s not good for the baby for you to get so worked up.”

“Worked up!” She stepped back from me before I had a chance to grab her. “The cancer may be back, and you didn’t tell me. You’ve been in pain, and you haven’t told me! I tell you everything. Even when I’m about to start my period and I have cramps.”

I stood from the chair and began walking toward her. She wrapped her arms around my neck and buried her face, sobbing onto my shoulder.

“I’m not leaving you.”

“I’m not asking you to. I’m asking you to stay. Stay with me until we grow old. Let’s call the gang and uninvite them. I want to spend the evening making love to my wife.”

It was two in the morning, and I wanted her again. I know she needed her sleep, but I needed her like my next breath. I crawled down the bed and spread her open and licked her slit and sucked on her clit. She moaned, but her fingers went to my hair and tugged.

“Rowdy.” She parted her legs a little more, giving me better access. I licked up the inside of her leg to her glistening pussy where I open mouth kissed her. She pulled my hair, pulling me to her mouth where we licked and sucked. Our tongues doing a mating dance of their own.
