29. Juliette
CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

Kash tosses me my tank and shorts, and I spare him a mocking glare.
His head tilts. “What?”
“I am not using this raggedy-ass blanket to wipe your cum from my cooter.”
He snorts, eyes falling to said cooter, where he can probably vividly imagine himself leaking out of me. Man’s way dirtier than I ever could’ve guessed. Am I repulsed by that? Absolutely the hell not.
“I ain’t got nothin’ else.”
My sigh is loud and exaggerated. “Run out to my truck. There are some napkins in the glove box.”
“It’s pouring down rain…”
“And?”
He glances out the door, running a hand through his hair. “Is it locked?”
I raise a haughty eyebrow. “This is Darling. What do you think?”
His eyes narrow when they cut back to me. “From now on, lock them. At least until we know Jack listened.”
I nod, already feeling the tension easing back into my shoulders.
He’s suddenly in front of me, kneeling down and brushing his thumb across my good cheek. “Hey, he won’t get near you again. I swear that on my life.”
“But what if he gets near you ?” I whisper.
He shoots me a cocky grin that should not reheat my blood so damn easily. “I hope he does. Gives me a reason to end that fucker once and for all.”
Murderous shouldn’t look sexy on a man, but this is Kash Ford we’re talkin’ ‘bout.
He kisses my nose before he stands and stalks toward the open door.
He doesn’t even pause, just steps right out into the rain and heads for my truck.
I take the time to pull on my tank top, grab my boots so they’re ready to throw on, and do my best not to think about the cum dripping down my thighs.
Staring out at the water falling from the sky, I place my hand on my heart, feeling it thumping in my chest just to make sure I didn’t die and go to Heaven because there’s no way this is real life.
I just fucked Kash Ford.
And I’ll be damned if he didn’t fuck me right back.
Minutes go by, and my brow furrows when I start to realize it’s taking him an awful long time to grab a napkin.
I peer out through the downpour, trying to catch sight of him, but visibility is shit.
My nerves ratchet up and my belly flips.
Then suddenly he’s there, running back through the rain and heading straight for me.
His smile is so wide, I can’t help but smile back. He stops once he’s inside, looking awfully damn smug.
“You’re lookin’ mighty pleased with yourself,” I state, letting my eyes travel over his drenched body like I didn’t just have it plastered against me minutes ago.
“Hard not to be when I come walking in and see you naked from the waist down, my cum coating your thighs.”
I chuckle, holding out my hand. “Napkin, please.”
He hands me one, and I turn my back and start cleaning up his mess. There’s an empty metal garbage can in the corner, so I toss the wadded up paper in it. The place is theirs now, so it’s not like anyone else will see it before I get a chance to empty the thing.
I slip on my shorts, then my boots, and when I’m done, Kash is standing nearby with something in his hands.
“What’s that?”
He runs a hand through his wet hair, his eyes looking anywhere but at me. “Did you know that you don’t have a single pen in your truck?”
I blink, trying to figure out where he’s going with this. “No. I wasn’t aware of that.”
“Got plenty of crayons, a half-used tube of lipstick, and a pencil though.”
That’s what took him so long? He rifled through my glovebox?
“O-kay. And?”
He takes a step forward, nervously exhales, then gets down on one knee. My heart damn near seizes in my chest as he stares up at me with pretty hazel eyes that I’ve missed more than I ever could have imagined.
“I know we’ve gone through some shit and that I still have a lot to do to earn back your trust. I’m just really hoping that you were serious when you said if I want you, I can have you, because now I can’t imagine my life without you.
” He holds out his hand, another napkin wilting in his grasp.
“This is my promise to you, Juliette Callahan. Give me your heart, and I’ll readily hand mine over for you to keep forever. ”
Reaching for the paper with shaking hands, I catch his rough penciled scrawl on the thin white napkin.
I, Kash Ford, formally ask Juliette Callahan to be my Omega. To love and honor, through sickness and health, ‘til death do us part.
(P.S. Please don’t eat this. Let’s frame it instead.)
What starts out as a laugh turns into a hiccupping sob. Suddenly, he’s there, lifting me into his arms, holding me tight against his chest as I bury my face into his throat.
“I really hope those are happy tears,” he rasps.
“The happiest.” I pull back to press a gentle kiss to his lips. “I would love nothing more than to be your Omega.”
He spins me around, a real laugh escaping. Then he grabs the napkin, sets it down on the hay bale, and takes off running.
“Kash Ford, don’t you dare!”
But he does. Warm rain batters us as he rushes out into the storm.
He stops and spins us again, his carefree smile making him even more impossibly handsome.
Leaning in, he kisses me with all the love of a man who’s now free to show it.
It’s like we’re the teenage lovers we never got to be, which makes my heart giddy with joy.
Lights splash through the downpour, and Kash’s body immediately tenses up. Our faces turn toward the SUV, dread building in my belly.
“Well, well, well. Look at what we have here,” a voice calls out, amusement lacing his tone.
I relax, tipping my head and resting my good cheek against Kash’s as Beck and Wyatt finally come into view. The second they catch sight of Kash and me, it’s full-blown smiles all around.
“You never see a couple kissing in the rain, pretty boy?”
“I’ve seen lots of things, hotshot, but none quite as pretty as you, soaking wet in a white tank top, in the arms of my packmate. Is this what they’re calling friendship these days? If so, will you be my friend too?”
Kash laughs. “You’ve had her plenty. It’s my turn.”
“Doesn’t share well with others. Noted,” Wyatt quips.
“We got here as fast as we could, little mama,” Beck says, stepping closer. I know the second he catches sight of my cheek. A loud growl bellows above the sound of the rain. “Who did that to you?”
Kash’s arms, still banded around me, squeeze just a little tighter. “Jack got to her, but he’s sporting a black eye from my fist and a warning that if he’s caught in Darling, it won’t end pretty for him.”
Beck’s suddenly next to us, his eyes assessing the damage and his gentle fingers prodding the tender area. I only wince a little, but it’s enough to have him growling again.
“Doesn’t seem like anything’s broken, but we should probably get some ice on that.”
Reaching out, I push a wet strand of hair out of his eye. “I’m okay, handsome. Really. Kash got here just in time.”
The two Alphas share a look, and with a sigh I feel deep in my soul, Kash hands me over into the arms of my other Alpha.
Beck’s arms immediately hug me to his chest, his rain-drenched cheek rubbing along mine in a desperate attempt to scent mark me. “I’m sorry, Jules. I should’ve been here. We all should’ve?—”
“Hey,” I murmur, gripping my Alpha’s face. “This isn’t on you. This is on Jack’s crazy ass. You hear me? Kash saved me, and I’m here with you now. That’s all that matters.”
Wyatt is suddenly beside us, running his hand down my back as his worried eyes grimace at the damage. “I love you, Jules.”
“Love you too, Wyatt.” I look into my Alpha’s face. “I love you too, Beck.”
“Love you, little mama. If anything had happened?—”
“Enough, guys.” When I playfully smack Beck’s arm, he sets me down but keeps a possessive grip on the back of my neck while Kash reaches for my hand and tangles our fingers together.
“I’m okay. We’re all gonna spend the evening together, soaking up the downtime while we can.
We can talk about everything that happened here tomorrow.
We’ll probably have to loop our families in anyway, and better to have it all out at once. Where’s Charlotte?”
“Your mama asked if she could keep her for a girls’ night since she’s in town. Something about mani-pedis, facials, and high tea.”
My eyes skim over all three men. “You mean we have the entire night to ourselves?”
Alpha pheromones overpower the hints of dirt and grass that carry on the rain—the blueberries and espresso making my mouth water. The look on my Beta’s face is downright filthy.
“I’m curious…” Wyatt rubs his fingers over his scruff. “When you say we …”
“My cum’s leaking from her cunt. You think I’m not going to be included in whatever crazy shit you're concocting, better think again,” Kash growls.
Beck laughs, clapping Kash on the shoulder. “Welcome to the club, brother.”
Squeezing Kash’s hand, I look up into his face and see nothing but love and a fuck-ton of lust staring back at me. “Ask him how he made it official.”
“If you did some romantic shit that blows our lame courting attempts out of the water, I’m gonna kick your ass,” Wyatt grumbles.
Kash smirks. “Prepare to be blown away then.”
I preen a little. “The napkin is in the stables. Written all formal and shit.”
Beck laughs. “As long as you don’t eat it this ti?—”
I smack my hand over his mouth. “We will never speak of that again.”
Kash drives his hand into my hair, cupping the back of my neck. “Like hell we won’t. You swallowed that thing like a pro, and now I’m wondering what else you can do with that throat.”
“Oh, brother. Wait ‘til you have her mouth. You’ll come faster than a hot knife through butter.”
I clench my thighs together, feeling my slick and Kash’s cum collecting in the seam of my shorts.
“How about you all take me home? Pretty sure I’ve got enough holes for everyone.
” Shooting a wicked look at Wyatt and Kash, I lick my bottom lip and feel a zing of power rush through me when they latch onto the motion like hawks on prey.
“Pretty sure I owe you both a ride. Maybe we can knock out two birds with one stone?”
All three men groan.
“I’ll close up the stables,” Kash says, rushing into the building.
Wyatt heads for the drive. “I’ll drive hotshot’s truck back to the guest house.”
Beck’s eyes slowly drop to my chest, eyeing my rock-hard nipples through the white fabric that’s damn near translucent from the rain.
“I’ve never seen anything prettier in my whole life, little mama.
But you better prepare yourself. You’re gonna be walkin’ ‘round town bowlegged for a week after tonight, and our blissed-out faces will only prove it wasn’t horses you’ve been ridin’. ”
“I’m counting on it.” I step into him, running my hand up his button-down shirt. Even with the rain, his scent is spilling into the air, making me hornier than I was a few minutes ago. “Now take me home, cowboy, and let me show you just how good I ride bareback.”
His groan is loud as he picks me up, throws me over his shoulder, and heads for the SUV. Kash closes and locks the stable door before he rushes after us. Wyatt’s already pulling out of the drive and heading down the road when the other Alpha catches up.
“You know she likes to be spanked?” Kash asks as casually as if he’s askin’ ‘bout the weather.
Beck’s strides falter for only a second. “Nope. But now I do.”
I’m in for a long night.
