Chapter 18
ROGUE
We're two blocks from the building when I tell her.
Not because I've been holding back but because I just never had a reason to really dive into it before now.
But Voss Property Group is clearly connected to Fischer's network and everything that destroyed this city.
It's the same company that wanted my father's block on Delaney Street, and that burned his shop down when he wouldn't sell.
Vi lost her father to these same people. Different story, same machine. Same devastating results. She needs to know she's not the only one out here with skin in the game.
"My father had a motorcycle shop," I say. "Delaney Street. It was in the family for three generations."
"Voss Property Group wanted the block but Dad wouldn't sell his parcel. Someone came to see him who was very polite and suggested he reconsider. Dad said no, and three weeks later the shop burned down." I pause. "Electrical fault, the fire marshal said. Nothing suspicious."
I laugh bitterly.
"Did your father ever—"
"He said it didn't matter. That Rothwell was already gone and what was one more thing." I look at the street ahead. "He left after that. Said he was tired."
"So we’ve both lost to these people."
"Yup.”
Vi walks beside me and says nothing.
Armen shows up. "What did we get?”
"Enough. Voss connects Fischer's shell companies. Same money, same hands, clear documentation."
"Okay. Voss."
"Yeah."
"Sounds personal?" he says.
"Little bit."
He nods but doesn't push. That's Armen.
Vi drops back slightly and I hear her say something to Sting that I don't catch, and then she's back at my shoulder.
"Can we go to the club?"
I look at her.
"I'm serious," she says. "I'm kind of worked up, you know? I mean, we found what we came for and I don't want to go back and sit in a room and think about all of it. I want to—" She stops. "I just want to not think for a while. If you know what I mean."
I look at Armen.
He looks at Sting.
Sting shrugs, which for Sting means yes.
"Looks like we got a majority. Club it is," I say.
Vi nudges me and winks. "So just like that?"
"You asked nicely."
She rolls her eyes. “Well, I’m a nice girl. If you hadn’t noticed.”
Fuck all. I notice everything about this woman.
The club is twenty minutes on foot. Vi falls into step beside me and stays there. I've got Voss in my head. She's got her father in hers. We don't talk about it.
The club looks different in daylight. Smaller somehow, more ordinary. The man guarding the door steps aside without a word and the moment we're through the back door and the music hits, nothing else matters.
Inside, it's dim, the way it always is regardless of the hour, and the music is lower than it would be at night.
But it's there, pulsing away, pounding underneath everything. There are a few other people around, not paying any attention to us, focused on their own thing, just like we’re about to be.
Vi looks around. "It’s a little different.”
"You good with it?"
"Oh yes. I'm not complaining. I'm observing."
Armen takes her hand and leads her toward the back and she goes, glancing at me once over her shoulder.
We find the back room as it always is, with its low light, a wide velvet-covered bench along one wall, and a lock on the door that Sting turns without being asked. The music from the main room comes through muffled, just the bass, pulsing hard and steady.
Vi turns around in the middle of the room and looks at the three of us.
"Hi," she says.
"Hi," I say.
Armen doesn't say anything. He just crosses the room and takes her mouth. She makes a sound against him that tells me everything, like she's been thinking about this for hours.
I adjust myself in my jeans. I do that a lot when Vi’s around.
Sting leans against the wall beside me, arms crossed, eyes on the same thing.
"You're both just going to watch?" Vi says, pulling back from Armen's mouth.
"For now," I say.
She narrows her eyes. "That's not what I came here for."
"I know what you came here for."
She rolls her eyes. “C’mon. Help a girl out.”
She doesn’t look like she needs much help to me but I stand up anyway, leaving Sting against the wall where he’s suppressing a laugh at how fast I jumped up.
I shoot him a dirty look and he laughs even harder.
The first time I saw Vi, I knew. Not that she'd end up here specifically, in this room, with us.
But that she had something underneath the anger and the grief and the chip on her shoulder the size of Rothwell itself.
Something that needed the right conditions to come out.
A woman who'd been dealt that kind of hand and was still standing, still fighting.
She had, and still has, the kind of fire that doesn't stay contained. It always finds somewhere to go.
Armen makes room for me by stepping behind her, placing his hands on her hips and his mouth at her neck. Her head lolls back while I work her shirt off.
"Rogue," she says.
"Right here, baby."
I get my mouth on hers, and Armen pushes her forward into me and she gasps. She grabs my shoulders for balance and I hold her face while Armen grinds against her ass.
Sandwiched by us guys, she manages to work her fingers between us just enough to remove her clothes. In less than a minute, she’s naked between the two of us.
“Lean forward, darlin’,” Armen says, looking down at her luscious ass cheeks.
She glances over her shoulder with a smile, then locks eyes with me. She takes hold of my upper arms for balance and leans forward, her face ground into my chest.
Armen gestures at Sting, who comes over and joins him in checking out her back side. He roughly grabs at her ass cheeks, making her jump, and spreads them to the point where his hands leave red marks.
“Would you look at that,” Armen breathes, while Sting, standing there with his hands on his hips, nods admiringly.
Vi squirms to lesson Armen’s hold, but he only tightens his grip.
Somebody’s going to have a sore ass tomorrow.
Armen glances at Sting. “Go ahead, man. Help me out.”
A wicked smile spreads across Sting’s face, and he leans over to spit on Vi’s asshole.
He spits again and starts rubbing her with his finger, not sliding inside yet, but the threat is there, and I can tell she’s part terrified and part turned on.
Nervousness pushed aside, she pushes her ass back toward them like she’s hungry for more. This is not lost on them.
I continue holding her in place, her face pressed into my chest and my hands holding her upper arms, while Sting continues to massage her asshole, adding spit and gently pressing it to open.
Finally, he slides his finger inside to the knuckle, and Vi both groans and bucks against me, my own dick straining painfully against the fly of my blue jeans.
Goddamn. I don’t know if the tension is worse for us guys, or Vi.
Sting slips his finger all the way into Vi’s ass and with a long growl, she bangs her head against my chest.
“You okay, baby?” I murmur, lowering my head toward her.
“Mmmm,” she mumbles. “I don’t… I’m not… no. I mean yes. I want more. Please.”
Sting chuckles, applies more spit, and starts to piston her ass with his finger. Her moans build and then Armen pushes Sting aside, positions his cock at her ass, and pops his head inside.
Pushed against me by Armen’s thrust, she shrieks. Sting smiles broadly, rubbing himself through his pants, and Armen’s eyes fall closed as he builds toward giving Vi his whole cock. She pants seconds later when he’s fully inside her and goddamn, I’m going to come in my jeans.
After a minute, Vi starts pushing back against Armen, who then really starts to bang her, slamming her ass, his grunts fueling her fury as she mumbles against my chest.
I have no idea what she’s saying but I don’t need to. It’s perfectly clear when she shudders and shakes and her whimpers build and then die down.
Armen takes that as his cue to let go, and with sweat dripping off his face, plunges deep inside Vi one more time before he holds himself there, his own shudders and spasms nearly knocking her off her feet.
In fact, when he finally pulls out and releases her ass cheeks, she falls to her knees, her legs weak. I ease her down and pull her to me.
“Oh dammit, the window shade was closed, Vi. Nobody could see us,” Sting says, looking around the room.
Well, shit. That’s half the reason Vi likes to come here, to get her exhibition kink on. But there’ll be other days. And nights.
But Vi has another idea.
Woozy, she looks around. “That’s okay. We can go again.”
