THREE

I blink several times and stare at him. What did he just do?

“Let’s try it again,” Daddy says before he puts some more liquid in his mouth.

I gaze at him as he puts his lips to mine again; him releasing the liquid in my mouth, and me drinking it. I don’t know how many times Daddy does this before he sits straight, a smile on his face.

“Such a good girl for Daddy.” He runs his hands through my hair. “We’ll do this again in a couple of hours so you can get your stomach full.”

I open and close my mouth several times, trying to come up with something to say but ultimately failing. Why is he so dedicated to feeding me and keeping me alive?

“I know you must be confused about a lot of things, but everything is going to be okay. Daddy is going to explain some things to you once you get all better,” he informs me. “Right now, I just want you to focus on getting better and letting me worry about everything else. Understand?”

No, I don’t understand.

Nothing is making any sense to me.

“The doctor should be here soon. He is going to check on you to see if you have any other health issues.” Daddy keeps stroking my hair as he looks down at me. “I’m so glad I got you. I can’t believe I waited so long to pick you up. I’m sorry about that.”

Tears form in my eyes at his words, and I blink them away. Why am I getting so emotional from him apologizing to me? I shouldn’t care about what he says and why he is sorry.

“How is your stomach feeling?” Daddy asks.

I think about how my stomach is still cramping. I thought once I got food in me, my pain would stop, and everything would be better. Why hasn’t it gone away?

Daddy places one of his hands on my stomach and gently presses, making me whimper.

“Still hurts,” Daddy mumbles. “I’ll remember to tell the doctor about that.”

Why does he care so much about me? Does he truly care, or is he just trying to put on a show?

“Is there anything else hurting?” Daddy asks. “You can tell me, so when the doctor comes, if you don’t have the energy, I can speak for you.”

I blink up at him several times, my heart melting at his words. He is being so caring about me. It’s so confusing.

Did we get everything wrong about the Venkorians and what they really want with us? Or are they putting on a show, as I thought earlier?

“What else is bothering you?” he asks. “Does anything on your body hurt? Do your limbs hurt? Are you super sleepy and don’t have the energy to do anything?”

It’s like he knows my body better than I do. But I already knew I was exhausted.

“Come on, Little Pet. You need to tell me what you are feeling,” he gently says. “Just talk to me. No one is going to get mad at you for telling the truth. I just need you to tell me everything.”

I open and close my mouth several times but ultimately close my mouth as I stare up at him. Why should I tell him what I am feeling? I don’t want him to make it all better so he can torture me for hours, months, or even years.

No.

“Little Pet.” His voice is harsher this time. “Talk to Daddy and tell me what is going on.”

I shake my head and close my eyes, trying to relax. The sooner he gives up, the sooner I will be able to die peacefully.

“Ronal?” a deep voice calls out.

“In here, Yamal,” Daddy replies.

I keep my eyes closed, not wanting to give either of them the satisfaction of knowing I am curious about them. I want to know more about Daddy. I want to stay close to him and never leave his side.

Why am I thinking this way?

I want to be close to him since he is so warm and instantly warms me up. I feel so comfortable around him.

I feel safe.

When was the last time I felt like this? Even on the space station, I always looked over my shoulder, knowing nothing was going to come and harm me but being worried because it was ingrained in me.

Some of the girls on the space station weren’t nice and everyone knew who they were. We all stayed away from them, so we didn’t get on their bad side.

I didn’t run into them since I was on high alert, but I had seen them interact with a lot of other girls. I never wanted to be in that position.

“What’s wrong with her?” the doctor asks. “She looks very pale. Like she is in pain.”

“She wasn’t fed for several days. She quickly drank some formula but vomited immediately,” Daddy explains. “I managed to get some of the liquid in her, but I didn’t want her to drink too much and it hurt her even more.”

“Good call. If she isn’t used to eating much, it could make her really sick.

Her body will reject it,” the male replies.

“We’ll weigh her in a little bit. Give her small amounts of the formula throughout the day so she stays full but not too much.

After a day or two, her body should get used to it. ”

How does he know so much?

“Is there anything else wrong?” the male asks. “Has she said anything? Some of the girls have had a hard time adjusting to the environment on Venkoria.”

“She has said a couple of words, but she is very tired. I think she was on the brink of unconsciousness from being so hungry, cold, and exhausted before I got there,” Daddy explains. “I think she might also be hallucinating. She kept talking about wanting to die peacefully.”

The other man hums, and I take a deep breath in.

“She might have been close to dying or felt like she was. But good thing you got there in time and fed her a little. Her body now has some food in it and won’t be eating at itself as much,” the doctor explains. “Can you lay her on the bed so I can run the wand over her?”

Daddy doesn’t say anything, but his grip tightens around my body before he stands and walks.

“She was freezing when I first picked her up, but her skin isn’t cold to the touch anymore. She has some color back in her cheeks,” Daddy explains before he sets me on the bed. “Be a good girl and lie still while the doctor checks over your body.”

When I crack open my eyes, the first thing I see is another large male. Before I can look at his features, my eyes dart to the wand in his hand. He is going to do what with that?

“Don’t worry, nothing is going to hurt you,” Daddy gently says as he runs his hand up and down my arm.

“He is going to use this to get all the information about your body. All you need to do is stay still while he moves this to collect the data. It’s not going to touch you, so you don’t have to worry. This is only going to hover over you.”

“Every human is nervous in the beginning when they see it, but don’t worry.

You’ll see soon enough that it’s. not going to harm you.

I would never hurt you, and neither would your Daddy.

” The male smiles at me. “My name is Yamal, and I am a doctor on Venkoria. Any time you are sick, you will see one of us, but hopefully that won’t happen often because you will stay healthy. ”

“You will be going to regular checkups, though. We want to get a baseline of how you are and then monitor it,” Daddy adds. “I don’t want to miss one single appointment and risk you getting unwell.”

I purse my lips and close my eyes once again. Daddy is talking like he is keeping me forever, but he can’t possibly do that. The way they treated us in the warehouse and how they brought us here shows they don’t want us.

“Are you feeling any better?” Daddy asks.

I stay silent.

“Little Pet, please answer me. I’m worried about you. I don’t want you to be in too much pain,” he gently says.

“I will not be collecting a urine sample this time since she is so dehydrated. I don’t think she’ll be going to the bathroom for at least a day, even if you feed her regularly.

Once she is urinating normally, we’ll collect one then,” Yamal states.

“You’ll be able to check whether she is urinating normally when she uses her diapers.

I don’t want to take a sample when it’s bright yellow. ”

Urine sample?

No way in hell are they going to get a urine sample from me. It’s my bodily fluid. I’m not going to have them just randomly collect it and not know what they are going to do with it.

“Sounds good. Once she does, I’ll contact you, or I’ll collect it in a cup and bring it to you,” Daddy replies.

Yamal shakes his head when I crack my eyes open. They are talking about this like it’s no big deal.

“I’ll come to you, or you can come to my office, but we are not going to have her pee in a cup.

There are too many variables with cross-contamination.

I would rather get the urine straight from her,” Yamal states.

“Once she is urinating regularly, we’ll put a catheter in and let her bladder drain that way.

It will be easier, less likely that there will be cross-contamination, and it will be less messy. ”

My eyes widen when he says the word catheter. I’ve never had one put, but I’ve heard about them whenever we talked about medical studies. They didn’t do it on the space station either, saying it was unnecessary since there was nothing for us to do with it.

“It will probably be in a day or two. That is, if you continue to give her liquids frequently,” Yamal says. “When was the last time you gave her formula?”

“Several minutes before you arrived. It was only two small mouthfuls,” Daddy replies.

“Two small mouthfuls?” Yamal’s eyebrows bunch together.

“She wanted to quickly drink the formula, which made her vomit the first time. She tried to do it again, but I stopped her. So I put liquid in my mouth and fed it to her,” Daddy explains. “It was the only way I could guarantee that she wouldn’t drink it too fast and make herself sick.”

“Like a bird and her baby,” Yamal mutters.

“Not an animal,” I mumble and close my eyes again before I see them looking at me.

“What was that?” Daddy asks. “Repeat what you said.”

I shake my head. There is no way I am going to say that again.

“Repeat what you said, Little Pet, or you will find yourself over my lap.”
