Chapter Thirty
FINN
THE NEXT DAY
I come to with a sudden awareness that I’m not in my own bed, and when I blink, I find myself lying on top of Sel.
No, it’s not my imagination, he really is here.
Even in sleep and snoring my boyfriend is gorgeous, and I want to pinch myself that he’s here.
But when my eyes roam over his slumberous face, I notice that I’m not the only one fighting dark circles.
I trace my fingertip gently over his cheekbone, and while the snoring stops, his eyes are still closed.
Finally, I’ve got a moment to look my fill and I’m not wasting a second of it.
Sel cut a day from his vacation to come see me and my family, and my heart literally can’t take it.
But I’m as worried about him as he is about me because he looks like he hasn’t had a good night’s sleep since…
“Stop staring and kiss me.”
I laugh and reach down to pinch his hip.
“Faker.”
“No way,” he murmurs, his voice sleepy and sexy. “I didn’t wake up until you touched my face.”
“Not true,” I chuckle and pump my hips, my morning wood rubbing against his. “One part of you was already alert.”
“What can I say?” He reaches down and squeezes my ass, bringing us closer, until we’re lying face to face. “My dick loves your dick.”
“Sexy and right to the point.”
I lean down and kiss him, savoring the taste and the touch I’ve been starved for these past weeks.
“That’s not all,” he whispers as he looks down between us. “Look at that.”
I follow his gaze.
“At my abs?”
“At your belly button sliding into mine,” he explains, his brown eyes sparkling. “You and me, sweetheart, we’re made to fit.”
Sel’s biggest smile stares back at me.
“That is the weirdest, corniest, and yet most romantic thing I’ve ever heard,” I confess.
“Poetry, right?”
“Let’s not go that far, we’re talking about an innie and an outie,” I tease. “Are you sure you’re not half asleep?”
One of his callused hands slowly slides up my back to grip my neck as he shifts his body, our hard, hot cocks rubbing together.
“Wide awake and ready to serve, boyfriend.”
“We don’t have much time.”
“I know.” He licks his lips. “And it’s been a long time.”
“God, I know it,” I moan as I start to thrust my hips against his. “Need to see you come so bad.”
“Need to see you too,” he moans. “I haven’t jerked off since I left.”
“At all?”
“Nope.”
“Me neither,” I admit, my body shaking with need.
Sel pulls me down for a long, sensual kiss. When his tongue teases mine, I lose whatever control I have, which at this point, isn’t much. Weeks without touching him, without touching myself, and my cock’s ready to release at any second.
“Baby, just to warn you,” I pant. “I’m going to come embarrassingly fast. Don’t judge.”
“I’m right there with you.”
“Fuck,” I groan before he takes my mouth in a punishing kiss that makes my toes curl.
“Just like this,” he groans as we rub against each other. “Right now. Come for me, Finn.”
We make out furiously, devouring each other, kissing so hard I know I’m going to have beard burn and then some. I need him more than anything else.
“Fuck, sweetheart, don’t stop,” Sel pleads.
I cup his face and stare into his dark eyes as we hump each other, rutting and moaning, the feel of his sweat-slicked skin driving me wild. Every thrust is harder, faster, and the bed frame creaks with the weight of our movement. We haven’t touched in ages and now he’s mine. Mine. I can’t hold on.
“Sel, so good, too good,” I groan, the rush of pleasure grabbing hold of me. “Christ, I’m almost there.”
I pump my hips one last time and it’s over. The orgasm takes over and I fucking surrender, releasing my load all over Sel. He jerks underneath me and yells out my name, his hot cum mixing with mine.
“Oh, Jesus,” Sel gasps, his hands clutching me tight. “I haven’t come that fast since… I was a teenager… but you… and me—”
He grunts and throws his head back on the pillow, and I can’t resist the sexy arch of his neck.
“I know,” I admit as I lick the skin over his Adam’s apple. “Like nothing else. And we had weeks of abstinence to make up for. I’m surprised I held out until now.”
Sel’s taste is my undoing. I lick the salty drops of sweat sliding down his neck, and he retaliates by cupping my head and tugging my hair.
“Holy shit,” I blurt out as twin sparks of pleasure and pain flood my body.
“You like that?”
“I… yes. Do it again.”
He pulls my hair again and I playfully bite his neck, sucking on his skin, marking what’s mine. Another bolt of lightning races up my spine, and next thing I know, I’m unloading more cum between us.
“Jesus, that’s hot.” Sel pants. “The next time I get you alone, there’ll be no rushing.”
Giving his lips a teasing nip, I wink.
“Then you better be prepared to have me stay over for a couple of days.”
“That’s the plan.”
Something about his expression, lusty and tender all at once, hits me right in my feels.
We’re kissing again, my tongue sliding deep into his mouth.
I don’t know how long we make out for, but I don’t want to stop.
I’m about to suggest we take a shower when I hear a distant knock.
My body instinctively goes on high alert as I roll off him.
“It’s only room service,” Sel explains as he slides out of bed.
“Oh.” I sigh with relief. “Wait, can you grab my phone first? I think I left it in my jacket, which is… shit… in the living area.”
Sel throws on a hotel bathrobe, stalks out of the bedroom, and comes back a moment later with my jacket in his hands.
“Thanks.”
While he races out to let room service in, I locate my phone, and I’m relieved to see there are no urgent messages from my dad or any of my family.
Still, given the time, there’s no question I need to move my ass and get back to the hospital, and Sel’s gotta leave shortly for his flight.
Instead of wishing things were different, I head directly for the en-suite bathroom and start the shower.
I’m almost done washing up when Sel joins me, holding out his hand for the bottle of bodywash as he steps inside the glass enclosure.
“I wish we had more time.”
I nod and watch the water sluicing over his hair and that big, beautiful body. Damn, I could stand here and stare all day.
“Soon.”
We ignore our growing hard-ons and avoid touching each other. When I know I’m about to tempt fate and reach for him, I turn around and reach for a towel instead. Sel quickly soaps up, rinses, and dries off.
When we’re both dressed and scarfing down breakfast like the famished players we are, Sel leans into me.
“How’s your mom doing?” he asks.
I take a sip of my coffee and shrug.
“I haven’t received a message from Dad yet, so I assume she’s good. But I’m going to the hospital as soon I’m done eating.”
Sel reaches for my hand and interlocks our fingers.
“I know it’s not the holidays you wanted to spend with your family, but at least things are looking better for her and you’re together. And speaking of Christmas, I have your gift. I was going to save it for your return, but—”
I can’t fight the rush of warmth that fills me up.
“You didn’t have to do that,” I insist.
“Yes I did.”
“But I don’t have your gift. It’s sitting under the tree. In your home.”
“You got me a tree?”
A hot blush creeps up my cheeks.
“Lights and everything. Wait till you see it.”
Sel responds by leaning over and kissing me possessively.
“I love it already,” he whispers, and I smile against his lips. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” I kiss him back. “Now, where’s my present?”
Sel chuckles as he stands up and walks over to his suitcase.
“Isn’t it better to give than to receive?”
“I don’t know yet,” I quip. “But I’m more than ready to find out.”
“Finn.”
Placing my napkin on the table, I stand up and stalk over to wrap my arms around Sel’s waist, leaning my chin on his shoulder.
“Something to look forward to in the new year,” I whisper in his ear. “I want you in every way, Sel. Every way.”
He lets out a deep groan and squeezes my forearms tight.
“Jesus, Finn, now I’m going to have to fight this boner the entire plane ride home.”
“I’m sorry.”
“No, you’re not,” he laughs, and I step back.
No, I’m not. But I’m not going to tease him any longer or I’ll have the same problem.
“Let me get your gift before I lose it and forget altogether.”
“Wouldn’t want that.”
Sel walks past me and swats my ass. Ugh, do I really have to leave?
“And no opening it until Christmas Day, Finn. Promise me.”
“I have a better idea. Why don’t you bring my gift back to New York and we can have our own private celebration in the new year?”
“With the tree and everything?”
“Yep.”
“Sounds perfect, I—” Sel’s comment is interrupted by the pinging of his phone. “My ride’s on the way.”
“I better leave first.” I step up and kiss him. “Text me when you land and call me tomorrow?”
“Video call.”
We’re smiling at each other with extremely sappy expressions on our faces.
“Merry Christmas, Wolfie.”
“Merry Christmas, Dimples.”
Sel - that afternoon
Leaving Finn hits me hardest when I land in California. As soon as the wheels touch down, I text him.
Sel: Arrived. Your mom doing okay? I’ll call later, I miss you already.
Glancing out my window as we taxi to our gate, the only thing I notice is my reflection, the dopey expression on my face. I’m so fucking love drunk, and it’s going to take my best media face to cover up how I’m really feeling.
Finn: She’s stable. Everyone’s good. Can’t wait, I miss you more
When the plane comes to a full stop, most of the passengers pop up and rush down the aisle.
I don’t blame them. It’s the holiday season and everyone wants their holiday to start now.
Oddly enough, I’m not eager enough to push my way to the front of the line, so I sit and wait.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m beyond happy to see my family, but I keep looking around like something’s missing, and of course, it’s Finn.
