CHAPTER 11
Once Spark got his shit together and walked into the clubhouse last night with a big smile on his face which had everyone doing a double take, I knew I had the greenlight to make my move with our woman. I definitely wasn’t going to wait around. Even a day felt too long.
That’s why I took off this afternoon and showed up at my woman’s door. She didn’t look at all surprised when she swung the door open and greeted me with a big, bright smile. It was exactly what I needed to see; it settled something in my gut which had been in turmoil since the moment she walked out of Club Sin, and I didn’t follow her.
She leaned against her doorframe, a tease in her voice as she greeted me, “Rites.”
“Siren,” I teased her right back and watched as her cheeks pinked with a blush on her make-up free face.
Our woman is always gorgeous but seeing her dressed down in some leggings and an oversized shirt was sexy as hell. My eyes roamed over her body, the curve of her hips a tease that I was more than willing to pant after.
“I heard Spark came and saw you yesterday,” I informed her.
“He did,” she confirmed and gave me a shy smile that melted my fucking heart. “He took me for a ride.” Her eyes widened and she quickly added on, “On his bike.”
“Just on his bike?”
She giggled and shrugged one shoulder, but I knew the truth. It was written all over Spark’s face when he walked into the clubhouse last night. Then there was the way her scent seemed to cling to him. I knew exactly what our Prez had been up to, and I wasn’t even a little bit bothered by it.
“I’m glad he came and talked to you.” My eyes bored into hers and I asked the question that had been burning in my gut for far too long. “Do you know that we want more from you than just the night we spent together at Club Sin, now?”
She bit her lip for a moment as she thought about it before she smiled at me as she nodded slowly. “I’m starting to, at least. It’s not easy to wrap my head around it.” She looked past my shoulder, her eyes going glassy like her mind had drifted far away. “I’ve never had a long-term relationship, not really. Something always stepped in and got in the way.” It felt like there was more to the story, but I didn’t push her because I knew that she’d open up to me, to us, in her own time. “Being with three men is a new concept to me,” she admitted.
I stepped closer to her, needing to feel the heat of her body. “But you’re willing to give it a try?”
Her eyes dilated as she stares into my eyes. Part of me felt weak for needing to hear her say it, but if I couldn’t show weakness to my woman, who can I? I was a little startled when her soft hands cupped my jaw, but I sunk into the feeling quickly.
“I don’t think I have a choice. There’s something about the three of you that I can’t ignore,” her voice lowered to a whisper, “and I don’t want to.”
My arm wrapped around her waist, and I pulled her against my chest. I took her mouth in a brutal kiss, my tongue diving between her lips to taste and tease her the same way memories of her had been teasing me for fucking weeks.
I pulled back only when she moaned into my mouth, and it was difficult as hell to do. What I couldn’t do was step back from her. That would be impossible.
With my forehead pressed against hers I asked, “Will you come and hang out at the clubhouse with me?”
“Hmm,” she stalled. “Is there something happening?”
I shrugged one shoulder and admitted, “There’s probably some kind of party going on. It happens pretty frequently.”
“Will the guys be there?”
I couldn’t help but smile at her question. The fact that she wanted to spend time with all of us didn’t bother me at all. No, I liked it.
“Yup,” I popped the p while my hand ran up and down her back. “And you’ll get the chance to meet more of our brothers. There are even some old ladies in the mix now.”
She jerked back from me slightly, “Old ladies?”
I chuckled softly and nodded. “That’s what bikers call the women we commit to. We have to claim them at church.”
There was an edge of panic in her voice that didn’t make sense, “Church?”
I nodded slowly as I studied her face. “It’s what we call our meeting. We go to Church. Trust me,” I assured her, “there’s no pastor or anything like that. No sermons.”
She deflated and I was curious as fuck about her reaction. It knew the life was all new to her, anyone looking at her would know that, but her reaction had nothing to do with the club and everything to do with her past.
Navy swallowed hard, her voice soft and unsure, “I’m not really a church person. Sorry.”
“No apologies, Siren,” my voice was insistent. “I hope one day you’ll tell me why.”
“Okay,” she whispered.
I tugged on my cut and told her, “This is our cut. The club is all about loyalty. We have businesses in the city, and everyone gets a cut from them, but the people who help run certain places get more. We’re a family.”
“Family,” her voice had a wistful quality to it that made me want to ensure she always has a family at her back. Something told me she needs it. Before I could assure her that the club will always be at her back, she squared her shoulders. “I’d like to go and meet your family.”
“Your family now too, Navy.”
Her eyes were wide for a moment before they softened as she looked at me. With a grip on my cut she pulled me into her house and closed the door. As she walked away from me, she called over her shoulder, “I’m going to go and change.” I took a steep closer to her, wanting to follow her, but she added, “Alone.”
I threw my head back and laughed before sitting down on the couch and waiting for her.
But now we’re walking up to the clubhouse doors. Having her on the back of my bike was so fucking good. I loved every single second of it, and I can’t wait until she’s wrapped around me again.
Now I know that Spark’s smile had more to do than just being buried in our woman. It was because of this feeling I have right now. It’s a lightness that I hope sticks around forever.
I can already hear the music pumping from the clubhouse, and I almost roll my eyes. I should have known that the party would be in full swing. I don’t blame the brothers—we’ve never been one to turn down a good party. Wy would today be any different?
“I know I’ve been here before, but I’m kind of nervous,” Navy admits right before I swing the door open.
My fingers dive into the short strands of her hair, and I hold her in place as I kiss her softly. I don’t stop until she relaxes against me.
“Everyone who matters is going to love you,” I vow against her lips.
And I know I’m right too. The angels won’t be happy, but they’ll get over their hissy fits. If they don’t then they’ll be gone. We’ve already been keeping our distance since the night Navy performed for Spark’s birthday. I can only hope no one starts shit with her.
As I lead her inside, I worry for a moment that I should have warned her about the angels, but it’s too late now. I watch Navy’s face as we enter the common room, and she takes in the space. I’m sure she didn’t get a great look at it when she was performing beyond the rows of seats that were in front of the stage.
It’s not until she spots the angels on some of the laps of the single brothers on the other side of the room that she looks unsure. But I don’t let her focus on that.
Instead, I lead her over toward the bar where Crucify and Spark are leaning. A few of the brothers and their old ladies are chatting at some tables not too far from the bar and I breathe a sigh of relief that the ladies are here tonight.
I know they’ll take our woman under their care and not let anyone give her shit. They’re all so different, but what brings them together is the loyalty they have for their men, and the club by extension. I know Navy won’t be any different.
I don’t pay attention to the curious looks we’re getting, and Navy doesn’t seem to notice with her focus on Crucify, whose eyes light up the moment he sees our woman, and Spark. When we’re close enough, Crucify grips the back of her neck and slams his mouth down on hers.
“Well, shit,” I hear one of the old ladies whisper and I find myself grinning.
When Crucify releases Navy, she looks a little dazed, but she barely gets to take a breath before Spark hauls her against his chest. He studies her face for a moment until she smiles up at him. That’s when he breaks and kisses her like he hasn’t seen her in years instead of less than a day.
The moan she lets out is hot as hell and I reach down to adjust myself without really thinking about it. Talk about fucking hot. I hope to get our woman between us again tonight, but if she’s not ready for then then I’ll survive.
Fucking barely, but I will.
“Woah,” one of the old ladies breathes before they giggle together but the sound isn’t malicious at all.
I glance over at them, and they’ve all gotten up from their tables and are edging closer to us. When Spark releases her, he grips her hip as she stumbles back a little and blinks up at him. The old ladies don’t hesitate and they fucking pounce.
“That was hot as hell, girl,” McKenzie who is with Bronco practically crows.
Evelyn, who is Penance’s old lady, and Robyn are right behind her and nodding like fucking bobble head dolls. Rebel, who is with Monk, is fanning herself. I can’t help but chuckle at their antics.
Navy blushes as she looks at the women. “Hi,” she whispers softly.
Evelyn wraps her arm around our woman’s shoulders and pulls her away from Spark. It’s clear he’s not happy about it, but Evelyn isn’t deterred. “Come with us. We’ll introduce ourselves. What’s your name?”
“Oh,” Rebel exclaims, “you were here a few weeks ago, right? The burlesque dancer?”
Navy nods but looks a bit nervous before she pushes past it and holds her head up high. It’s sexy as hell. “That’s me.” She flashes the women a wide smile. “I’m Navy.”
I stop listening as they go about making introductions and inducting our woman into their ranks. I knew it would be this way. I saunter up to the bar feeling damn proud of myself. This is how it should be.
“I didn’t get enough time with our woman,” Crucify is looking after Navy practically pouting like he’s favorite toy has been taken away from him. I guess, in some way, it has.
“She’ll be back in our arms,” I assure him. “This is good. She needs to be comfortable here and the ladies will help with that.”
Spark nods and then looks around the room. I can feel the stares of the angels boring into me, but I’m not going to give them any attention. I will keep an eye out for them. If they even think about fucking with our woman then I’ll be all over it.
“I don’t like sharing her with you guys, sharing her with the women sucks just as much,” Spark grumbles.
I laugh, the sound pulling Navy’s attention. She has a sweet smile on her face. While I understand what Spark is saying, I know this is what needed to happen. It’ll be good for her and us.
Because the more comfortable she feels here, the more time she’ll spend with us. And until we can claim her officially and figure out how we’re going to all live together it’ll have to be enough.
I watch her all night, loving he way she lights up. Right now it’s with happiness, but I’ll be making sure she lights up with pleasure later.
When she starts to look uncomfortable, her eyes darting toward the angels who, thankfully, haven’t tried to approach us, I’m not the only one who notices. Spark stomps right up to her, picks her up, and throws her over his shoulder. Crucify and I are right behind him as he takes her up to his room which is more like a suite.
I’m practically fucking giddy to get some time with our woman and the fact that Spark doesn’t glare at us is a good fucking sign.
I wonder how many times I can make her come before I have to bury myself inside of her?
