Epilogue 2
SHIRLEY
It was like seeing a ghost when Rose walked through the doors of my diner and sat down with that man. I know I was extremely rude, but it took everything in me not to break down right there and start crying or asking a million questions that probably wouldn’t make any sense to her.
I knew from the moment we made eye contact.
Heterochromia is rare enough as it is, but she could’ve been his twin reincarnate.
I need to tell her. I have to tell her. But why would she believe anything I have to say?
I was so short with her, and maybe she is just passing through and won’t come back into the diner.
But if she does, then I will tell her. I will tell her about my brother, her father. I will tell her everything.
