Ch46The New Advocate Of Vardhans #4

The entire dining hall was wrapped in a suffocating, tense silence; the house helps moved on their tiptoes, completely terrified to make even a single sound around the young head of the family.

A few moments later, Vyom strolled into the dining room with an incredibly relaxed, cheerful stride.

Unlike Rudraksh, Vyom looked perfectly rested, a wide, thoroughly amused smirk playing on his lips the exact moment his eyes caught the deadly, exhausted expression on his best friend's face.

He sat down at his usual spot across from Rudraksh and casually began serving himself a lavish portion of breakfast, completely unbothered by the murderous glare being directed his way.

Vyom took a deliberate, slow sip of his orange juice, leaning back in his plush chair as he decided it was officially time to poke the sleeping tiger.

"Good morning, corporate tycoon," Vyom said, his tone dripping with mock cheerfulness.

"Wow, look at those massive dark circles under your eyes, Rudraksh. What happened? Did the bed feel a little too big and empty last night? Or did you just miss the comforting sound of someone's anklets?"

Rudraksh didn't answer immediately. He set his coffee cup down on the saucer with a sharp, echoing clink that made the nearby servants jump.

He locked his pitch-black, menacing eyes onto Vyom, his voice dropping into a dangerous, low gravel.

"If you value your life, Vyom, shut your fucking mouth and eat your breakfast."

Instead of backing down, Vyom let out a loud, delighted chuckle, completely enjoying the billionaire's severe irritation.

He picked up his fork, waving it in the air casually as he deliberately turned the knife deeper.

"Why are you getting so angry, man? I am just admiring your wife's incredible independence! I mean, seriously, look at Rivanya. Most women would be crying or begging their powerful billionaire husbands for protection in a massive legal crisis like this. But your wife?

She basically looked you in the eye, told you she didn't need your interference, and walked right out of your palace to handle her own business."

Rudraksh's jaw clenched so hard the muscles in his cheek twitched violently. He hated the fact that Vyom was entirely right. Rivanya had fiercely established her boundaries, leaving him completely locked out of her world for two whole days.

Seeing Rudraksh's explosive silence, Vyom leaned across the table, his eyes sparkling with pure mischief as he delivered the final blow.

"You know, it's honestly beautiful how she doesn't depend on the great Rudraksh Vardhan for anything. She has her own brains, her own career, and her own private apartment in the middle of Mumbai where she can live peacefully without your constant teasin She is a completely self-sufficient woman.

I bet she is having the most peaceful, uninterrupted sleep of her life over there, completely free from your annoying presence. It must be so liberating for her to finally get some distance from her so-called husband on paper only."

That was the absolute breaking point for Rudraksh.

The reminder of his own strict, foolish rules being thrown back in his face made his blood boil out of control.

Images of her sleeping form flashed through his mind, but he couldn't dare reveal his weakness to Vyom.

He stood up abruptly from his chair, slamming both his palms flat onto the table with a terrifying force that rattled the expensive silverware.

"I said, stop your garbage talking, Vyom!" Rudraksh roared, his commanding, powerful voice echoing through the entire ground floor of the mansion. "She went there strictly to study the case files, not because she wanted to run away from me! She is my wife, and she belongs right here in this house!"

Vyom didn't flinch for a single second. Instead, he simply leaned back in his chair, a wide, thoroughly satisfied and victorious smirk spreading across his face as he watched the ruthless Mafia King completely unravel over a girl.

"If she belongs here, then why is she over there, Rudraksh?"

Vyom asked softly, raising a single, mocking eyebrow.

"Face it, tycoon. Your Sugarplum has completely stripped you of your sanity, and you can't even handle a single day without her."

Unable to find a single logical counter-argument and thoroughly exposed by his best friend, Rudraksh let out a furious snarl.

He violently grabbed his suit jacket from the back of the chair, turned on his heel, and stormed out of the dining hall, slamming the double doors shut behind him as he headed toward his study room to drown his wild, protective anxiety in work.

Vyom simply shook his head, laughing quietly to himself as he dug back into his breakfast, knowing his plan to make Rudraksh realize his own deep love was working perfectly.

Rudraksh stormed into his private study room, slamming the heavy wooden door shut behind him.

He threw his suit jacket onto a leather couch and sat behind his grand desk, his chest heaving with a dangerous mix of unyielding rage and escalating restlessness.

The quiet atmosphere of the room did absolutely nothing to calm him down; in fact, the more he found himself thinking about Rivanya, the angrier and more anxious he became.

Leaning back in his chair, he ran a frustrated hand through his hair, his mind spiraling.
