Epilogue

Phoenyxx

I can’t believe we pulled off our first successful takedown of a human trafficking ring. We not only killed every motherfucker involved, but managed to save over a dozen women and children.

Since Synn decided to make his family home a safe house, the traumatized women and children are set up there as we work to locate their families. Jax kindly gave us the contact info for the therapist he uses, so she’s on-site. Me, Valley, and Cynthia make regular visits to check in on them all.

Meanwhile, Ghost’s and Frost’s mothers became fast friends in the ZYGOS compound. They decided to move in together at the empty estate belonging to Trikk’s family; they’re happy and thriving. I consider them to be my second and third mother.

Michael has been put to work for the Rossi family as a “special” enforcer, for the worst of the worst. He gets along well with my parents, and everyone else on the team. My parents decided to get him a small house to live in, and he’s content.

It's spring now, and so beautiful outside. We’re planning to celebrate our success by taking a long, overdue vacation to the Bahamas. A proper honeymoon.

Christmas was amazing. We were all gathered together under one roof, at our house. All my friends and family, even the entirety of the ZYGOS guys joined us.

The gift exchange was full of smiles and laughter, the food to die for. We all got a bit drunk, but it was so much fun, why not? We had nothing else to worry about.

Valley and Bryan are blissfully happy. They're both still trying to figure out what careers they’re interested in, but I told them to take their time. They are still working on choosing a wedding date.

As for Cynthia, she’s now in her own harem with Thor, Bill, and Maverick. She’s still chasing after Jax, who keeps running away. I also know she has her eye on a couple of the other ZYGOS guys.

Her therapy has gone so well, she’s hardly ever out of it anymore. I just love her to pieces. It's so heartwarming to see her and Hunter together, making up for all the years lost.

As for me—I am content. That may sound underwhelming, but to me, it’s fucking everything.

I've found everything I never dared dream of. I’m beyond fulfilled and give thanks every day for the life I have now.

I started out as an amnesiac, an abuse and kidnapping victim, full of fear and rage. Now, I help to save other abuse victims, giving them their lives back.

Or should I say, survivors. That's what we are, after all. Fierce, strong fucking survivors.

I am officially full circle.

This is not my end—far from it. It's merely my beginning. The future is brimming with possibilities.

All hail Phoenyxx.
