Chapter 10

Chapter Ten

Diablo

Standing in the shadows, I watch as Stella walks out of the clubhouse, seeming upset. Not long before seeing her walk away, I spotted Juniper coming down the same hallway. Ever since that woman started coming around, she’s been nothing but trouble brewing. Swear she’s related to that bitch, Claws.

Something about this whole thing doesn’t sit right with me.

I like Stella. She’s good for my VP. She doesn’t deserve to be fucked with by anyone.

The reports on this fucker, who supposedly has a marriage contract with her and refuses to give it up, have my gut screaming at me.

I don’t know why, but whatever it is, it’s not good.

Deciding to follow Stella . . . make sure she gets wherever she’s going safely . . . I start after her. I give her a moment to get on her way before pulling out on my bike.

The ride seemed to be like any other day, but I saw the expression on her face.

I can only guess as to what happened, and when Angel finds out, he’s going to lose his shit.

Coming to the last curve, everything happens in the blink of an eye.

A car comes flying around, slamming into the front corner of the driver’s side of Stella’s car, sending her spinning directly into a tree on the passenger side.

“Fuck,” I snarl, stopping on the side of the road. I barely get the kickstand down before hopping off. The guy who hit Stella is on the side of the road, his car having gone into the ditch on the opposite side.

I look to Stella’s car for a brief second and go after the motherfucker who hit her. I jerk the door open and drag him out.

“Hey, what are you doing?” he screams, fingers digging into the back of my hand.

“You’re a dead man,” I growl, sneering at the bastard recognizing him as a local rat who can be bought off by anyone in town looking for someone to do their dirty work or get information,.

Throwing a fist directly in the man’s face, I knock him out, letting him fall to the ground.

Pulling out my phone, I check the road and start across the street while dialing Prez’s number.

He’s out with Angel, and he’ll be able to keep my VP from losing his shit.

“Yeah,” Reaper answers.

“Get back this way. Accident. Stella. Calling for help,” I say and hang up as I make it to Stella’s door and rip the damn thing open. Squatting next to her, I sigh in relief when I check to see if she’s got a pulse. “Thank fuck,” I breathe and pull up a number on my phone for Hellhound.

“What is it?” he demands, answering the phone.

“Need a few hands down the road heading to town. Got a rat to take to the cabin, and I’m callin’ in for medical assistance now.” I hang up, not giving him time to ask questions. Dialing nine-one-one, I provide them with the information they need to get here for Stella.

Hanging up, I check on Stella again, hearing the sound of motorcycles coming this way.

Maybe I should have called the ambulance first, but that rat needs to disappear.

This wasn’t just an accident, and we’ll get to the bottom of it.

But first is getting my VP’s woman the help she needs.

We’ll also find out what the fuck Juniper did.

I’ve got a feeling she’s behind whatever happened here, and if she is, she’s in for a rude awakening.

You don’t mess with a member of the Satan’s Keepers MC without repercussions.

I hate a jealous bitch and hope she gets what she fucking deserves.
