Epilogue
Daemon
The threat isn’t over yet and won’t be for the foreseeable future. What I know for sure is that I won’t let it touch my woman.
Not again.
This shit isn’t gonna get close to her again.
Since that day, Styxx and Scythe have both been working together to find out more about the Scarlet Needles. We now know that Everleigh’s uncle isn’t just a supporter, along with the others. He’s one of the top organizers right alongside Case’s parents.
They massively fucked with Everleigh’s head with the shit they pulled on her years ago.
According to the information my brothers have found out, it’s not pretty.
Right now, we’re sitting ducks, having to wait for the next hit to strike against us since they’ve all but disappeared on us.
We all went back to the factory the next day and took a look around to see if there were any bodies, but there were none.
Well, except for Everleigh’s mother. She was dead.
That was one good thing. No more hearing that woman’s screeching, but I wish it were more than just her.
Regardless, I’ll do what’s needed to keep anything else coming our way from touching my woman.
I think the only good thing out this bullshit is that my woman now has Everett in her life.
The club took the little family in under our protection and set them up in a new place where they can’t be easily found.
Sofie and Carl sat down with Everleigh and me, and we’ve all agreed that Everett doesn’t need to know the truth, not now, maybe when he gets older.
For now, he knows that Everleigh and I, along with the club, saved him and his dad and brought them back to his mom and little sister.
The way I see it, only so many things can go wrong before it goes right.
It’s a cycle on repeat. One that hopefully we’ll be able to break.
Something tells me, though, it won’t happen any time soon.
Especially now. The reason for this is Scythe and Josephine.
I’m not sure what’s about to go down with them, but being around Josephine as much as I have, I don’t think she’s about to let him have his way.
Not without a fight. But I know my brother, and he’s not one for letting anything slip through his grasp.
