Chapter 18
Chapter Eighteen
Scythe
I grind my teeth together and focus on the road. I love having my woman on the back of my bike, but right now, thinking of her with that plug up her ass, all I want to do is fuck her. That will have to wait, though.
I get she’s been cooped up at the clubhouse since shit when down, and she lost her memories of the past weeks.
Shit, I get her annoyance at being somewhere for a long time.
Especially when I’ve kept her close. Her not having her memories of what we did together, of me making her mine, pisses me off.
I want to be able to give her time. Time to heal. To get used to the fact she’s mine.
However, the damn woman just wants to fight me at every turn.
Not that I’d complain about that. In fact, it gets my dick hard every time she does it.
Her trying to leave while I was in the shower pushed me near the edge, and she needed to be punished for it.
I’d bought the plug for her just after getting back from the trip out of town.
I figured it would be a good way to teach her a lesson in behaving and listening to me.
It’d also rock her world with the pleasure I can give her.
Hitting the throttle, I weave through the curves of the road heading out of town.
She’s supposed to be on lockdown at the clubhouse, and I shouldn’t be taking her out on the bike, but I’m hoping with a bit of time out she’ll calm down.
I also want to show her a few things. One of them is a place I don’t ever take anyone.
Styxx and I are the only ones with keys, and still, we rarely go there.
But I’d talked to Styxx about it the other day, and he agreed it would be a good idea to take Josephine there.
I slow down, closing in on the turn I need to take, feeling Josephine’s arms flexing around me.
Normally, I’d have ridden with my helmets that have the Bluetooth in them to talk to her, if need be, but this time I didn’t.
She’s got the one I bought for her, but I decided to forgo a helmet.
I don’t usually, but sometimes it’s good to go without to feel the wind and smell the air as it whips around you.
Taking the turn, I take it easy, riding around the potholes, sticks, and fallen trunks.
It’s been a while since either of us have been out here to do clean up, but as the cabin comes into view, a part of me wants to go back.
To leave the past behind, however, I can’t do that.
To be able to go forward and have Josephine, she needs to know the man I am.
Past and present. Not just the man she’s seen so far.
Not to sound like a pussy, but with everything that’s happened in my life, it’s what made me into who she’s seen so far.
I pull up in front of the cabin a few moments later, switch off my bike, and put the kickstand down. I tap Josephine’s leg and call out over my shoulder, “Hop off, Freckles.”
Josephine removes the helmet with ease and hands it to me. “I don’t think I can get off the bike,” she murmurs, her breath heavy and filled with lust.
Grinning, I twist and meet her dark vibrant eyes, seeing the need in them. Oh yeah, the ride definitely got her worked up. I’m willing to bet her pussy is drenched.
“Come on, Josephine, just swing your leg over and climb off. I promise I won’t let you fall.”
Josephine bits her lip and whimpers as she slowly does what I tell her. I grasp her arm, keeping her steady while I also climb off. Once clear of the bike, I pull her close, release her arm and palm her ass, my fingers tapping against the plug, causing her to wither and moan.
“Scythe,” she pleas.
“You in a bad way, are you baby?”
“This is torture,” she pants and leans deeper into me.
Chuckling, I circle the flat surface of the plug and step back, taking her hand in mine. “Come on. I’m gonna show you something.”
Josephine grumbles something I don’t quite catch, but I recognize some rather colorful words slip past her lips I don’t think I’ve ever heard her use.
I guide her around the cabin and down to the dock sitting on Lake Jacksonville.
“What are we doing here?” she finally asks, taking in the scenery around us.
“This was my folks’ place. Well, their little getaway home from home,” I inform her and let go of her hand to sit on the built-in bench. “We used to come out here all the time when we were kids.”
“Your parents, they died, right?” she asks gingerly and steps closer to the edge of the dock, looking down at the water.
“Yeah,” I mutter, not going farther.
“I don’t know what all happened,” she murmurs and looks at me. “Isabelle didn’t tell me much. Said she’d like to, but it wasn’t hers to tell. I only know what happened to her.”
That would be my little sister. Still hard to believe she’s now with Hellhound.
I can hear my aunt’s voice in my head telling me, ‘The fates knew what they were doing.’ after she found out.
As much as I love my aunt, she can be weird as fuck sometimes.
Regardless, someone had to be looking out for us.
Had to lead Isabelle back to my brother and me.
The fateful day we lost our parents, we hadn’t been home. When we got home, though, we found out lives forever changed.
Blinking against the sun, I look from Josephine to the water.
“Our parents were killed a long time ago. Styxx and I were out at a birthday party. Isabelle was only a baby, and Mom stayed home with her. I don’t know what happened exactly, but Dad dropped us off and went back home.
We were going to spend the night at our cousin’s, but Styxx left something at home, and our uncle took us back to get it.
It’s then we found them,” I keep talking, my mind going back to that time.
I could see it like it were yesterday. My mom on the floor her body mutilated, Dad tied to a chair.
Even in death, his eyes filled with anguish, so I could only believe that my mom went first, and he’d had to watch them torture her.
My uncle all but dragged Styxx and me from that scene.
Neither of us wanted to leave our mother.
She’d been such a beautiful spirit. I remember my dad calling her his Little Siren.
My uncle explained that my dad called her this because they met while here on this lake. She loved the water and spent as much time as she could near it. My dad took her all over the world to visit different parts of the world so that she could sink her toes in different waters.
“So, your dad and mom ended up getting this place because it’s where they first met,” Josephine whispers, pulling me from my thoughts.
I clear my throat, lean forward, brace my elbows on my knees, and look back at her.
“Yeah, they did. Isabelle’s never been here.
Styxx and I are the only ones with keys now.
Our uncle kept the upkeep of it done for us until we were old enough to do it ourselves.
He sold the house and put the money in a trust for us to do what we wanted when we were ready, but he didn’t sell this place.
Said he could get rid of the house because it wasn’t anything compared to this place.
There’s too much sentimental value here. ”
“I can understand that.” Josephine gives me a small smile and looks back to the water. “It’s very pretty. Thank you for bringing me here.”
Without responding, I stand, grab her hand, and take her back up to the cabin.
It’s nothing compared to some places, but it’s also nothing to sneeze at.
It’s got three bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms, a living room, a massive kitchen in the heart of it, a dining area off to the side, and the back side of the house facing the water, is nothing but windows to be able to see the lake from inside.
I unlock the cabin and let the two of us in.
I glance around and nod satisfied that it was clean, if not for a bit of dust. Releasing Josephine’s hand, I make my way over to in front of the fireplace in the living room and start it.
It might be warm outside, but in here it’s slightly chilly and I don’t want Josephine to get cold.
Not that she would be for long with what I have planned.
Once the fire is lit, I turn and face Josephine standing just in the entryway. I hold out a hand. “Come here, baby.”
