Chapter 21

Chapter twenty-one

Ellery

“Are you little ones excited?” Daniel asked from the driver’s seat. Tristan and I were sitting together in the back seat, with Daniel as our chauffeur.

“Yes, I can’t wait to see Daddy’s painting!”

Tristan wiggled next to me, his excitement barely containable. “It’s gonna be so much fun! Do you think Zeke will be in his puppy gear?”

“I’m not sure, sweetheart. Zeke will be wearing whatever makes him comfortable.”

David had dropped me off at Daniel’s a few hours ago so he could help Jack set up for the event.

I loved that there was hardly a moment when I was alone.

Even if we weren’t in the same room together, there was always someone home with me.

Some of my favorite times were when we were simply side by side, each doing our own thing.

It was the quiet proof that all four of our lives were blending together. That we were truly becoming a family.

Even though he didn’t technically work for the club, David loved helping out, especially when it involved his paintings.

The night before, as I was suckling his chest, Daddy told me why he loved helping out there.

The club had become one of his safe spaces.

My sweet, caring Daddy loved taking every chance he could to give back and help support his community.

I’d offered to go to the club early with Daddy, but he suggested I go over to Daniel and Tristan’s so I could relax before having to be at the crowded club. With it being an event night, we expected it to be pretty busy, so I’d agreed.

When we pulled into the parking lot, Zeke was getting out of his car and heading toward the door.

“Look, Ellie, it’s Zeke!”

“He’s here!”

Daniel parked the car and got out to help Tristan unbuckle his belt. He also offered to help me, but I said no. I wanted to hurry up and see my friend and my Daddy. He’d only been gone for a few hours, but I already missed him.

“Zeke!” Tristan shouted, grabbing Zeke’s attention. Zeke smiled as we approached, but before he even saw it coming, he had his arms full of a very excited little Tristan.

“I’m so excited!” Zeke giggled and wrapped his arms around Tristan, returning the hug.

“I’m excited too . . . and a bit nervous.” Wanting to help my friend, I joined the hug. It was a bit awkward trying to wrap my arms around both Tristan and Zeke, but I managed.

“It’s okay, Zeke, we’re here with you. Daniel’s here too.” I removed the hand wrapped around Tristan and pointed over to Daniel. “That’s Daniel, Tristan’s Daddy. He’s super nice and will help make sure you’re okay.”

Zeke turned to look at Daniel, his expression full of worry. Daniel smiled and was quick to help reassure our friend. “That’s right. If you need anything or anyone makes you uncomfortable, just let me know, and I’ll take care of it.”

I nodded my head dramatically, nearly bonking heads with Tristan. “My Daddy is here too, but he’s already inside. Both Daddies will make sure all three of us have the best night ever!”

Daniel hummed in agreement. “Mmhmm, we sure will. Come on, you three, let’s get inside.”

When we entered, Maggie was at the front desk chatting with Daddy. The second I laid eyes on David, I let go of Tristan’s hand and ran towards my Daddy. I slammed into him, my excitement too much to contain. He grunted and swayed backward a bit. “Sorry, Daddy. I missed you.”

Daddy smiled and wrapped his arms around. Daddy leaned forward to kiss my nose and then my lips. The sweet gesture always made me feel warm and fuzzy. “I missed you too, princess. Please be more careful next time.”

“I will, Daddy, I promise!”

Maggie helped Zeke with his paperwork, then began passing out all our bands. Daddy took my bands from Maggie and put them on me, and Daniel did the same for Tristan. Once Daddy had them secured around my wrist, I looked over to see Zeke struggling with his.

“Can I help?”

Zeke sighed in relief and handed me the bands. “Yes, please.” I took the wristbands from Zeke and he held out his arm so I could place them around his wrist.

“Thank you.”

“You’re welcome, Zeke!”

When we were all ready, Daddy opened the door to the club and led us all back to the changing rooms. Zeke watched with wide eyes as we made our way through the club.

It was much busier than when we were here before, but thankfully, it wasn’t overwhelming.

Although it was still early in the evening, so that would probably change.

“Wait, I don’t want to forget this time,” I called out as I came to a full stop.

Next to the changing rooms, there was a small wall with a bulletin board where they posted club news and members could advertise their kink-related businesses. “Daddy, can I please have our business cards?”

“Of course, give me just a second, darling.” Daddy found a spot that wasn’t crowded and grabbed my backpack from Daniel. He unzipped the bag and pulled the cards out from somewhere inside. Both Tristan and I took a card and pinned it up on the board. We both cheered in excitement.

Daddy led us down the hall and stopped in front of room number five. “Zeke, you can use this room to change if you need to, and then there are lockers down the hall. Once you have everything locked up, we’ll meet you back over by the bulletin board.”

Zeke hummed and nodded, taking in every word that David was saying.

It was a bit strange to see Zeke so nervous; he was usually confident.

It made me sad to see my friend so out of their comfort zone.

I hoped once we got to the pet room, he’d relax.

If he didn’t, I’d tell Daddy to take us home. He wouldn’t mind.

“Okay. Th-thank you, David.”

“You’re welcome, Zeke.” Daddy smiled at him and grabbed my hand, taking us to the changing room directly across from Zeke’s.

The room was almost the same as the one we were in last time. Daddy set everything down and began helping me take off my clothes. “You’re so wiggly, princess.”

I tried to hold still, but I failed. “Sorry, Daddy. I’m just so excited.” Daddy chuckled and kissed my nose.

“I know you are, princess. It’s not a bad thing. As long as I’m still able to dress you, you can be as wiggly and happy as you want.” Daddy’s words were freeing. Not everyone was a fan of how loud and excited I could get, but Daddy never faulted me for it; if anything, I thought he liked it.

My excitement only grew as Daddy dressed me in my play dress and tiara. “There you go, pretty princess, all ready to go.”

“Yay, I can’t wait to see your painting, Daddy.”

Daddy had offered several times to send me pictures, but I’d refused. I knew a picture wouldn’t do it justice; I wanted to see the finished product in all its glory.

“I know, princess. Let’s go.”

Zeke was the only one standing next to the bulletin board, but thankfully, Tristan and Daniel weren’t too far behind us. When we were all ready, David led us through the crowd toward the playroom.

“Are you ready?” Daddy’s hand was on the doorknob as Tristan, Zeke, and I were all vibrating with excitement.

“Yes!” I shouted.

“Rawr.” Tristan roared, showing off his new outfit.

Daniel thought it would be fun if Tristan could dress as a dragon for the pet play opening night.

Tristan was wearing a dragon onesie, but this one had dragon feet and gloves.

The gloves had claws and made Tristan’s roars even more adorable—erm, I meant threatening.

Zeke nodded his head but remained quiet.

“Welcome to the pet room.” David opened the door, and we all charged in like excited puppies, which was fitting for the room we were entering.

My eyes instantly went to the mural on the wall. It was absolutely beautiful and made the space feel welcoming.

For once, I was stunned silent, so Daniel was the first to speak. “David, it’s amazing!”

Tristan walked up to David and lifted his dragon hood off his head.

Tristan’s voice was soft, barely above a whisper.

“It so pwetty.” Tristan looked at the painting, taking in all the details.

He gasped in shock when his eyes landed on a small dragon flying through the sky.

This time, when he spoke, there wasn’t a single person in the building who couldn’t hear him. “YOU PAINTED A DRAGON!”

David’s head fell back as he erupted into laughter. “That’s right, buddy, I did. Do you like it?”

Tristan slammed into David, giving him a big hug. “I wuv it, Uncle David.”

“I’m glad, buddy.” Tristan let go of Daddy and returned to Daniel’s side.

Unable to stay quiet any longer, I marched over to my Daddy and gave him a big hug. “I love it so much, Daddy, you did amazing. I’m proud of you.” Daddy’s cheeks turned a beautiful shade of pink.

“Thank you, princess.”

When I turned around to look at Zeke, his eyes were on the other pets in the room.

Zeke was wearing black athletic clothes paired with a headband with fluffy black dog ears.

It was adorable. I couldn’t help but notice the envy in his eyes as he watched the other pups wearing their hoods and harnesses.

I hoped Zeke found his handler soon and got spoiled with the prettiest pup gear ever.

The room was full of everything a pet could want. There were multiple types of pet beds—made for human-sized pets, of course. There were buckets of toys with all kinds of options. Chew toys, squeaky toys, and so much more. There was even a ball pit in the corner of the room!

“What do you think, Zeke?”

Most of Zeke’s nervousness seemed to disappear, and in its place was pure excitement. “I love it! There’s so much stuff.”

“I’m glad everyone seems to be enjoying the new space.” Zeke stiffened in surprise when Jack’s deep voice came rumbling from behind us.

Daniel stepped forward and shook Jack’s hand, then clapped him on the back. “The room looks amazing, Jack. You really outdid yourself.
