15. Chapter 15

Jade

Shit, shit, shit! I mentally chide myself after I hear those words.

Sitting up abruptly, I slip off the bed, my finger brushing my hair.

He feels the same? It was different when I thought the feelings were one-sided, but now that I know he craves me too, this is all going to blow up in my face.

Shit. My heart clenches as my head tells me to send him away.

“I have a client soon, so you should go.” I watch his face fall immediately.

“Did I do something wrong?” Fylis’s sad eyes tug at my heart, so I turn away and pretend to fix my makeup in the mirror.

“No, I just need you out so I can get ready for the next client.” I give a quick, terribly fake smile, trying to keep my voice neutral and not exude the absolute shit storm going on inside my head.

Listening as he gathers his things and walks to the door, I pretend to stay busy until I hear the door close behind him.

“Fuck!” I growl, my hand sweeping everything off my small vanity.

His words play over and over in my head.

“We were perfect.” He got vulnerable with me and I just tossed him out of my room like he’s nothing to me, when really...

I’ve royally fucked this one up. Drogo was right, I shouldn’t have let Fylis in tonight.

Snatching my phone up, I scroll for Fylis’s contact but freeze. This is wildly inappropriate. I walked all over the boundaries I set for him, and now I need to fix it, the way a domme would. I shoot a text off to the booking team to add a free hour to his next session and leave it at that.

Beginning to clean up my mess from my little tantrum earlier, a knock at my door startles me. I don’t actually have a client, so I’m not totally sure who it can be. Righting the last bottle, I walk over to the door, cracking it open slowly. Thank fuck, it’s just Drogo.

“I heard a crash after you tossed the poor satyr out. Are you alright?” Drogo’s face is sincere, but I don’t miss the hint of humor behind his reptilian smile.

“He said, ‘we’re perfect’. I panicked and sent him away. I fucked up bad this time, Drogo. I-”

“Crossed a boundary?” He cuts me off, making me huff. All knowing Drogo. As annoying as it is, I appreciate it. Some things are just too hard to discuss openly.

Crossing my arms, I move away from the door, allowing him to enter. When he steps inside, he inhales deeply, nostrils flaring wildly.

“Maybe we can talk in my office, so I’m not distracted,” he waves his arm around the room, and I laugh.

“Let’s go, you horny dragon.” I led the way down the hall to his own clean space.

I spent most of the afternoon talking with Drogo about everything, but still felt a pit in my stomach.

I was growing feelings for Fylis. The one thing I’m not supposed to do.

Drogo suggested I give my other clients to another domme until I figured things out, so I did, reluctantly.

But part of me was at peace with this decision.

My mind is torn about whether I should even come back as a domme. Would Fylis still want me to be a domme? Shaking the thought from my head, I remind myself he may not even still like me the way I like him.

Walking through my apartment door, I head straight back to the shower.

Stripping down and stepping under the warm water with a sigh.

Gathering soap in my hands, I gently run it over my body, feeling the delicious ache of where Fylis’s hands were on me.

His scent mixes with the steam as I wash it away.

Sadness pulls at me as I replay kicking him out in my mind.

Damn it. I tug at my hair in frustration and finish my shower, doing my best to dodge the mess in my head. The past few days have taken a toll on me. Climbing into bed, I almost text Fylis goodnight, but I stop myself. I need to make this right with him. He needs to know how I feel about him.
