“I'm going to kill him,” I say through clenched teeth.

“You have to give him a chance, babe.” Chopper chuckles and shakes his head. He knows how much Lionel gets on my nerves, but he doesn’t seem to care.

The idiot tries to flip another bottle of liquor and almost drops it again. I’ve told him a hundred times not to even try it again. He looks dumb and isn’t going to pick up a girl doing that. Honestly, he won't pick up a woman at Savage Saloon no matter what he does.

Savage tends to attract members of motorcycle clubs and older men who don’t want the drama and crowd a normal bar gives. The only time we really see women here is if they’re with a club member, or they have the last name Reeves. Either way, I don’t think Lionel will impress anyone.

“Are we really sure he can even keep me safe?” I roll my eyes. “After all, he was with me when I got kidnapped. He doesn’t seem very trustworthy.”

“Well, your dad made it clear that if Lionel lets anything happen to you, Porter will give him a worse treatment than Wilson got. After the color returned to Lionel’s face, he assured us he’d do everything in his power to protect you and promised us he’d never listen to you when you tell him to search the bar without backup here ever again. ”

I wince as Chopper arches a brow. I kind of left that little tidbit out of the story when I told him what happened. How was I supposed to know Wilson would knock out Lionel and then be able to sneak outside without me knowing?

The door to the bar opens and three guys enter. My face lights up with a smile when I realize who they are.

River slides onto a stool in front of me and grins as Whiskey and Gunner each take a stool on either side of him.

“Hey, guys. What are you guys doing here?” Chopper shakes hands with each of them before wrapping his arm around my waist.

If I didn’t know Chopper better, I’d think this was a warning to the Dixon boys that I'm off limits and I belong to Chopper, but it isn’t. My boyfriend just wants to always have me within his reach.

“We thought we’d stop by for a drink and see what you’ve done with the place.” River glances around at the bar. He’s never been here before so there’s no way he’d know what we changed.

“This is for you,” Whiskey murmurs as he slides an envelope across the bar.

“What is this?” I frown as I pick it up and pull out a check with a large dollar amount on it.

“That’s our apologies for what happened and to cover whatever damage Wilson did to the bar,” Gunner says softly.

“Nope. I don’t want it. None of it was the Sinners fault.” I push the envelope back towards Whiskey and fold my arms across my chest as I glare at them, making sure they know I'm serious.

“It was our fault. Wilson was our prospect. Anything he did when prospecting… we’re responsible for it.” River smiles sadly.

“We spoke to the three guys who came in here with him that first night. They were really psyching him up and telling him you kept glancing over at him and smiling. They had him believing you were head over heels for him.” Whiskey rolls his eyes.

“I don’t know why the idiot believed someone like you would be interested in someone like him. ”

“The guys aren’t allowed back here. If they show up, you call us and we’ll deal with them. They’re well aware that if they pull a stunt like that again, here or somewhere else, they’ll meet the same fate as Wilson.” Gunner keeps his eyes on me, but his expression gives nothing away.

“Keep the check, Rox. You had to close the bar for almost a month and lost all of that income. None of this was your fault and if it weren’t for four guys from our club, none of it would’ve happened. Now, what do you have on tap?”
