Montana

Dickface: Happy Fourth of July, baby. Remember when we used to kiss under the fireworks?

Me: Remember when you fucked my best friend and blamed my weight?

Dickface: I made a mistake.

Me: So did I, YOU.

Dickface: You don’t mean that. I know you still want me like I want you.

Me: Hard pass.

It’s been a few days since I ran into Rocky, and I’m not even ashamed to admit that I’ve gone to the gym more than usual to see if I could get a glimpse of him working out. The way he does pull ups, I almost wish I was between his legs while we both pull up.

Damn, Montana. Get it together, girl .

I’ve walked with his sister a few times. When she mentioned her last name to me, I asked if she was related to Rocky. Of course, she’s his little sister. It’s a really small fucking world. She's sweet and she seems genuine and I'm glad to have made a new friend here. I’ve been burned before so time will tell, but I’m hoping we’ll be friends for a long time.

I can see Talon liking Autumn. She's gorgeous. Maybe I’ll introduce them. Awe, matchmaker Montana . God, I need to get out more.

I want to make a bucket list. It’s something my parents did together. They had a Polaroid camera to capture the memories they made and put together a scrapbook to document them. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do too. I’m going to honor their memory and do the same.

I’ll get the things I need the next time I go out, but today, we're going to the lake for the Fourth of July and Autumn is coming with me. I’m so excited to meet some more people.

Autumn’s coming over soon so we can do our nails, I really need to get ready and pack my bag for the lake. Definitely need to include my Flamin’ Hot Funyuns and my water bottle. Those are the best chips and I’ll die on that hill. I have my towel, an extra pair of clothes, and sunblock. I’m wearing my olive-green bikini top that has a black lace overlay and high-waisted black bottoms that make my ass look amazing, but also show off my belly ring.

Thirty minutes later Autumn is here, wearing a basic black one-piece bathing suit that look good on her—because anything would look great on that girl—but I know I have a one-piece bathing suit that has cut-out sides and a low v-neck in the front that would make her boobs look incredible. When I ask if she wants to wear that one instead she shakes her head no.

I’m going to make this girl see how beautiful she is if it's the last thing I do.

“Please try it on Autumn, I promise I am not pranking you. You’re beautiful. Your boobs look too good to cover up, and you have a body any man would gladly drop to his knees for.”

She gives me a look like she wants to tell me to fuck off, but she’s too nice for that. I swear, the more she hangs out with me, the more she’s sugar and spice and everything nice, until you fuck with her.

“Tell me to fuck off, if that’s how you feel. You’ll come to know one thing about me is that I won't sugar coat stuff for you. If I didn't think you were banging, I wouldn’t say it. Being thick is not a bad thing. Being skinny is not a bad thing or the best thing. You just need to be healthy and feel amazing in your own skin. Trust me, it didn't happen overnight for me to be in love with my curves, so I know it’ll take you some time. But trust me when I say those boys will be dying to talk to you. Actually, why don’t we take a bet to see how many guys ask for your number?” I finish with a smirk.

“You’re killing me, but I want to be more in love with my body. I’ll try it on. No thank you on that bet.” She rolls her eyes.

“Fine, no bet, but I can't wait to see this on you!”

She groans and when we get up, I slap her butt and say, “Autumn, you are fine as hell, let your freak flag fly, baby! But not too much.”

We both laugh, and she goes into my bathroom to try it on while I sit on the edge of the bed, waiting for her to come out and show me.

She walks out and I whistle.

“Damn, baby, can I get your number? Are we in Tennessee because you’re the only ten I see.”

She scans my face, looking for a lie. She won’t see it, because I’m not lying, she is a bombshell. When she sees the truth in my eyes, she is smiling from ear to ear.

She looks amazing in this bathing suit. I will keep hyping her up because she is really beautiful inside and out and she deserves to see what I see.

We’re at the table doing our nails while The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 is playing. I remember the first time I watched it when I was ten. I read the books, and my uncle took me to see the movie. I was so mad when they killed Carlisle, only for it to be a vision. Boy, everyone in the theater was upset.

“I remember when I first saw this movie, I thought everyone in the theater was going to riot when that happened.” I commented.

We both laugh while we chat and get to know each other better. She loves mango and chamoy sauce and she even brought some with her for the lake. Just like her brother, I feel like she’s someone I’ve known my whole life. Even though I had my reservations about new people in my life, I knew we would be friends. I know when a special someone comes into her life, he better be great to her.

We finish our nails as the movie ends, and it’s time to head out. We hop into my Jeep blasting Sorry not Sorry by Demi Lovato and Exes by Tate McRae on the drive to the lake.

We arrive at Xander’s house—he lives down a long dirt road and when we pull up, it’s so damn nice. It’s right on the water, and it’s big, but not too big. The house has white and wood accents. There are big trees along the path and rocking chairs on the porch. We get to the door and knock, Xander opens the door with a big smile on his face and pulls both of us in for a hug.

“You came!” he says with a megawatt smile on his face.

He is handsome, but not my type. I know he’s a wild guy, but I think when the right girl comes along and knocks him on his ass, he won't know what to do with himself.

We can’t help but smile when he smiles.

“Of course! I told you we would. Talon here yet?”

“Yeah, he’s out back drinking a beer. Do y’all want anything?”

“Dr. Pepper, if you have any.”

“I'll have water for now, is my brother here?”

“He’s out back by the lake too. You can head out back and I'll bring your drinks out to you.”

We walk through the house and it’s gorgeous black and white with gold accents but it's not like those homes that are for show—this lake house looks lived in and comfortable. We walk outside and I spot Rocky right away. He’s with some blonde girl.

I roll my eyes. Figures he’s a player .

Oh well. I just got out of a relationship. I don't need this drama in my life. I have new friends and it’s hot girl summer .

We walk down to the lake that’s like a beach and set our towels down. I brought my favorite one that’s the Puerto Rican flag. I got it a couple years ago on our last family trip there.

“I love your towel.”

I break out of my daydream, smile at Autumn and thank her. It’s still hard to talk about my parents, and today is supposed to be a fun day. I’ll go back to hating July tomorrow.

“Your towel is beautiful, it’s my favorite color.” I say with a smile. It’s a pretty round towel that is a mixture of greens and has gorgeous frills on the edges.

“Thank you! Did you bring sunblock? I forgot.”

“Oh yeah, I did, ya girl burns,” I say with a laugh.

You would think because my skin is naturally tan that I wouldn’t burn, but oh no, I can turn as red as a lobster. I take it out of my bag and hand it to her, she is rubbing some on—I love this one, it smells like coconut and banana, and reminds me of my mom. I stocked up because if and when they decide to discontinue it, I’ll have some saved.

I pull out my Wayfarer sunglasses and put them on so I can scan the lake. I spot Talon, Rocky, and Xander—who has our drinks.

“Xander!” I call out, and they all swing their heads over towards us.

“I’m coming, gorgeous!” he says with a smile, like he knows something I don’t and swaggers on over to us. He crouches down and gives us our drinks.

He whispers in between us. “Play along.”

I don’t know what he means until he starts to speak again.

“You ladies need help with the sunblock on your backs?” He winks, and that’s my cue for game on, whatever that game is.

“Oh, would you? That would be a big help.” I hand him the lotion and he’s about to squirt some into his hands when Rocky and Talon come over to us.

“I think the fuck not, Cuiellette.”

I look up and see Rocky standing there with his arms folded. I take him in from head to toe, and he’s standing there in his red swim trunks with his tattooed muscles and chiseled stomach like a Greek God, and that yummy Adonis belt that leads down to his…stop, Montana. Then there’s Talon with a stupid smirk on his face.

“Monti you have something on your face.” He snickers.

Asshole . I am not drooling.

Dammit, he caught me checking Rocky out. Shaking my head out of this Rocky fog and clearing my throat.

“What's the matter, Savage? Don't want Xander touching your sister?”

“Nah, Killer. I don’t want anyone touching you .”

“Oh, is that right? You’re serious?” I smirk up at him.

“As a heart attack.”

“Alright, damn, I just didn't want her to get a sunburn.” He puts his hands up in surrender, but he looks very satisfied with himself.

With that, Xander hands me back the sunblock and Rocky sits behind me and rubs some on my back. As soon as his strong, large, calloused hands touch my skin, I let out a soft moan, and I hear him chuckle behind me. But that isn’t the thing that shocks me the most, it’s the way electricity shoots through my body when he does.

It’s never happened to me before. That tells me I’m in more trouble than I originally thought. He removes his hands from my body and the loss of contact makes me want them back on my body.

He then put some sunblock on his sister's back. I hear Talon clear his throat and look between Autumn and me. I smirk up at him.

“Autumn, have you met my cousin Talon?” I look over at her and see her eyeing him approvingly.

“No, I haven’t. It’s nice to meet you. I’m Autumn.” She stands up and shook his hand and I swear their world stopped for a min.

“Autumn, want to go in the water? It’s a little hot out here. Don't you think so?”

“Yep. Let’s go,” she squeaks out.

I stand up and take off the ripped jean shorts around my bottoms and a white crop top. I love that my bikini bottoms have a V cut so my belly ring shows. Autumn’s wearing a black slip and removes that. Both of us have our hair in two French braids, and thank goodness for that, because have you ever tried to keep your curly hair from getting frizzy after swimming? I brought some leave-in conditioner with me because I’m not about to be out here looking like I belong in The Lion King . If you know, you know.

I see how Rocky is looking at me; he licks his lips, brings his fist to his mouth and bites his knuckle. We turn and start walking to the water, and I swear I hear Rocky and Talon groan. I turn around and throw Rocky a wink. Yeah, two can play that game, Mr. Tall, Dark, and Sexy with those tattoos on display and his backwards hat.

Maybe I need to drink water today and not Dr. Pepper because he is a whole ass thirst trap.

We walk into the water to cool off, because I’m hot all over, and it feels so nice.

There are a lot of people around, Xander’s neighbors are having fun in the lake too. There is country music playing from the speakers that Xander has set up and I’m loving it. I’m singing along to Thinkin’ Bout Me by Morgan Wallen, and I glance over to where Talon and Rocky are talking to Xander and a couple of players from the football team. The same blonde girl I saw next to Rocky earlier is walking over to him again and smiling up at him like he’s hung the moon.

I roll my eyes, and I’m so fucking glad that I have my sunglasses on.

Two guys saunter over towards Autumn and me. They are cute, I guess, not like Rocky, but still cute. One has blonde hair and green eyes and the other has black hair and blue eyes. They are both wearing just swim trunks. The one with the blond hair has on American flag trunks, and his friend has on plain gray ones. They both have no shirts on, and I already notice that they don’t have a lot of tattoos. They smile down at us.

“Hey, I’m Ty and that’s Chase,” the blonde one says hooking a thumb to the one with black hair.

“Hey, I’m Montana and this is Autumn.”

“Hey,” she says with a smile.

“We just wanted to come down and say hi. We’re staying a few houses down and thought we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to come ask if you two gorgeous ladies wanted to come over for a drink?”

I look over to Autumn and have a conversation without having one. I smirk. I look over to where they came from, and their friends are playing beer pong. I smile big at them.

“Tell you what, we’ll play you for the drink. If you can beat us in beer pong you get that drink, but if we win, then we leave with a bottle of whatever we want? What do you say?”

They look at each other, smirk and nod. Chase talks now and says, “You’re on, but if we win, we get a kiss on top of that drink.”

They think this will be an easy win. I love being underestimated.

I look over at Autumn and wink at her. “Bet,” I say, and I hold my hand out for Chase to take.

We start to walk with them, and after small chit chat, they seem funny and pretty nice. But I wouldn’t put it past them to try to get in our pants. Scratch that, they are definitely trying to get in our pants. Get ready to lose, boys.

“Killer.” I hear in a warning tone.

“Yes, Savage?” I turn and say in a sickly-sweet tone.

“What are you doing?”

“We will be back in a few minutes, Ty and Chase here want to play a game of beer pong and we agreed.”

I swear I hear him growl lowly. Sir, stop trying to make my panties wet . I turn back and start walking with Autumn again.

“Monti, are you sure about this?” She whispers.

“One thing about me, I don’t make a bet I can’t win,” I whisper to her so the boys can’t hear.

“Hold up, pipsqueak, I’m coming to see this,” Talon says from behind us.

“Hell yeah, me too!” Xander says wanting to get in on this action.

Talon comes up on the other side of Autumn like her protector. He has it bad. I’ll save this mental note for later.

Let the games begin, boys.
