Icouldn’t sleep. I spent most of the night tossing and turning on the couch in my office, since Cass and Phoebe were in my bedroom, reliving Cass's words about being a virgin and giving me head at the party. I wasn’t really going to let one of the club girls give me a blowjob.
I would have found a way to get out of it and still get the information Cass needs.
Just the thought of Cass’s lips wrapped around my shaft has me harder than I’ve ever been.
I’m going to need to do something about it before I face Cass and my brothers.
The last thing I need is to scare her or give my club brothers a reason to tease me.
I’m the club president—I need to be in control at all times.
If only my body would listen to my head.
My phone buzzes with an incoming text. It’s an unknown number, but I smile when I read the words.
Unknown Number: Hey, Savage, it’s Raven. Or, since I’m your temporary old lady, I guess you should call me Cass. I hope it’s okay that Phoebe gave me your number. Sorry I stole your bed last night. Phoebe ended up spending the night. Who knew there was that much to learn about giving head.
A snort of laughter escapes my lips at her casual mention of the techniques she learned from Phoebe.
I quickly add the name Cass to my contacts, then delete it.
If she were really my old lady, I’d have a nickname for her—something like beautiful or goddess.
In the end, I type Siren. Like the mythical creatures of the sea that lure sailors to their deaths, because I’m almost positive this woman is going to be the death of me—especially when I have to give her up.
Me: Drake. Call me Drake. It’s my birth name. And you're welcome—even if the couch in my office was a little lumpy.
Damn, this isn’t me. I don’t ever tease or flirt. I’m straight and to the point.
Siren: Come downstairs, and I’ll make it up to you.
A wave of desire hits me as I think of all the ways she could make it up to me.
Siren: I’m in the kitchen with Phoebe and all the other old ladies making breakfast. I make the best biscuits—you’ll have to try one of my biscuits.
Does she have any idea what that sounds like? She has to know, right?
Not wanting to end the game, I quickly respond.
Me: I can’t wait to have your biscuit in my mouth.
I hit send only to think better of it after it’s too late. I don’t want her to think I’m some kind of a creep, but she’s the one who started it.
Siren: I’ll make sure to save you the best one. Now, hurry up and get down here. Phoebe said you need to watch how the other guys treat their women so we won’t look out of place at the Sons of Lucifer’s.
Shit, that’s right. This is all fake.
Me: I’ll take a quick shower and be right down.
Siren: Hopefully I didn’t take all the hot water when I took my shower. See you soon.
Great, now the visual of her naked in my shower is burned into my mind.
Stomping out of my office, I head to my bedroom and go straight to the bathroom.
Turning the shower dial to hot, I strip out of my clothes, not caring where they land, and step under the shower as visions of Cass standing in here only a little while ago fill my head.
I pour body wash in my hand, then grasp my dick, stroking myself to images of Cass soaping up her naked body.
A vision of her running her hard nipple through the fingers of one of her hands while her other hand is buried between her thighs has my balls drawing up tight to my body as my orgasm approaches, making me jerk harder, chasing my orgasm.
When my orgasm finally hits, I shout Cass’s name and sag against the cool tile of the shower wall, my body temporarily satisfied—which won’t last long since tonight is the night of the Sons of Lucifer’s party—I’ll be hard again in no time just thinking about Cass’s lips around my cock.
If I were truly a gentleman, I’d find a way to spare her from having to do that to me while still getting the information we need. But the sick bastard that I am can’t wait to feel her mouth on me.
Phoebe is right. Cass and I need to practice being a couple. The last thing we need is for Mad Dog and his guys to find out we’re lying to them. It’s a dangerous game we’re playing, but if it saves Lord and Cass’s brother, Hawk, and the women they are protecting, it will all be worth it.
I could tell it bothered her to be part of the auction house when she told me about it yesterday.
Even if I didn’t let on, it still made sense that they were trying to help the women who were put in that unfortunate position, like Phoebe, who believed the only way to help her family was to sell her virginity.
If it hadn’t been for Lord, Hawk, and Cass, who knows what would have happened to Phoebe at that auction house.
Pushing open the shower door, I step out onto the warm tile floor, thanks to the built-in heater in the floor tiles—I wonder whether Cass liked it.
Wrapping a towel around my waist, I head to my closet to find a specific t-shirt.
When I find it, I quickly dry off and change, then rush downstairs to greet my temporary old lady.
I find her standing in front of the buffet table, her back to me.
Knowing I need to claim her in front of my brothers and their women, I slide behind her, wrap my arms around her waist, and kiss the side of her neck as I’ve seen my club brothers greet their old ladies.
“Good morning, Siren,” I whisper against her neck.
She spins in my arms to face me. “Good morning.” Our eyes meet, and something primal takes hold as our lips crash together in a heated kiss. I’m not sure how long we stand there, lost in each other. It isn’t until I hear whistling and catcalling around us that we break apart.
Ignoring my club brothers' childish behavior, I run my thumb over Cass’s plump lower lip, remembering the taste of her. “Siren,” I whisper again for only her to hear.
“Siren?” She blinks up at me. “Why are you calling me that?” She steps back, and I drop my hand to my side, giving her some space.
“I know we’re just faking it, but I thought that if you were really my old lady, I’d give you a nickname. I even listed it in my phone under your contact information.”
“Well, now I feel stupid. I gave you a nickname in my contacts, too, but nothing like Siren.” She wrinkles her nose, and it’s too adorable; I want to kiss her again.
“It can’t be that bad, can it?” I coax, not caring about our audience watching our every move.
“Tom.” She says in a rush. “I gave you the nickname Tom.”
“Why Tom?” Unexplained jealousy surges through me at the sound of her calling me by another guy's name. Is he someone she has a crush on? I clench my fists at my sides and wait for her answer.
“Because you’re my temporary old man, Tom.”
For some reason, that explanation makes it worse.
“Come on, grab some food, and let’s eat.
” I follow her down the buffet line as we fill our plates with breakfast food.
I notice her smile when I pile four of her homemade biscuits on my plate.
If it weren’t too obvious, I would have taken the whole damn plate of biscuits off the buffet table so no one else could have any.
She follows me to a table in the middle, where Phoebe, Prue, Piper, Ghost, and Phantom are seated. We set our plates on the table, but when Cass tries to sit in the chair, I pull her onto my lap and wrap my arm around her waist so she can’t get away.
“Looks like the two of you don’t need any practice.” Phoebe laughs, reminding me that this is all pretend. Suddenly I’m not hungry anymore, except for Cass’s biscuits. I have a feeling I’d never get tired of Cass’s biscuits in more ways than one.
