Chapter 57

Chapter

Fifty-Seven

Grabbing Colton’s jaw, I pulled him closer to me. He didn’t blink or move away, challenging me. My chest rumbled, the growl coming from much deeper than normal.

“I’ve had it with your attitude, Colt.”

“Oh, have you?”

He yanked his hand out of my grip and pushed against my chest. My grip slipped, and he floated back, putting distance between us. He was able to push far enough that his feet touched the floor of the pool, and he stood his ground.

“What is your problem, Colt? You don’t need to do this. I want to talk. I’m not the one who’s been creating distance. That’s all you.”

He barked out a laugh. “Distance? You are the last person who should talk about distance.”

“I don’t remember, Colt. I don’t remember anything. I may never remember. I fucked up. I know I did. I can clearly see it on everyone’s faces and how they treat me. I know. You don’t get to keep throwing that at me every time you feel like it.”

His eyes darkened, and I watched his jaw tick. “Of course you don’t. I told you, I don’t hold it against you.”

“You keep throwing it at me! That’s you holding it against me.”

“Forget it, Marcus. Just go.” Colton turned his back to me. “Leave me alone.”

I couldn’t take it. Before he could get to the edge of the pool, I grabbed his forearm and tugged him around.

Slamming him against the side of the pool, I crushed my lips against his.

My hand wove to his back, holding his head so it didn’t hit the rocks as I controlled our kiss.

His hands came up at first, trying to push me away, but the moment my tongue thrust into his mouth, they grabbed onto my shirt.

Colton tried to pull me closer, but his body just rose to mine. I didn’t break our kiss as I reached down and dug my fingers into his ass cheek. Pulling him up, he wrapped his legs around my waist and moved his arms around my neck. I stepped up closer to the edge, caging him between my body.

Separating, he breathed heavily, but I didn’t pull my lips enough to stop touching his. “That is enough, Omega. You do not turn your back on your Alpha, is that understood?”

His chest rose and fell, the water being displaced between us. I could hear his breath, the speed of his heart, and the slight tremor in his hands. Leaning back a little more, I could see his beautiful blue eyes looking back at me. They were filled with tears, and I brushed some away softly.

“I’m sorry, little wolf. I’m here.”

I took his lips again, reveling in the feeling of his skin on mine. These past two weeks had been torture for me. I couldn’t imagine how he was feeling. Colton didn’t even hesitate. He kissed me as if he were starving, and I couldn’t agree more.

Slipping my hands into his hair, I gathered it together and tightened my hold. Pulling it back and forcing us to separate, he whined, and I smirked. He tried to move back to me, but I held him tight.

“I don’t know if you deserve this. You’ve been disrespectful for weeks. You think I can just let that go?”

Colton whimpered. “Mar…please…”

“I’m sorry, what was that?” I pushed my pheromones out, forcing a bit more than I usually did.

“Alpha…Alpha…my Alpha…please…”

I leaned down and kissed him softly this time. “That’s right. I am your Alpha. You are my Omega. I am your mate and you are mine. We are a unit. I’m not tolerating anything else, is that understood?”

“Yes, Alpha.” He whispered. “I am always yours.”

With my pheromones wrapped around him, my voice dropped into my command. “Take off my shirt, little wolf.”

He nodded, not even trying to fight it. Reaching down, Colton pulled the edges up and adjusted for a moment so he could pull it up over my head.

His legs were still wrapped around my waist, so I let him go for a moment to rest against the stones, tossing the wet shirt off to the side.

I stopped him as he reached down for my shorts.

“I didn’t say you could touch those.”

Another whine escaped, but his hands ran over my exposed skin. It felt incredible. His touch still felt just as strong. The fire warming in my core was hotter than it had been. I let out a low rumble as his nails dragged from my shoulders to my chest.

“Colt…” I pulled him back, nipping his lip before kissing him.

He had been hard against my front, and I could feel him doing everything he could to apply some kind of stimulation. I reached down and wrapped my hand around his shaft, rewarded with such a sharp inhale that he coughed.

“Mar…Alpha…please.”

Slowly, I moved my hand. Up and down, I teased his tip before I went back down, putting pressure against his pelvis. He whimpered and moaned, his body shaking as I continued the slow movements. After a couple of minutes, his back arched more, and I let go.

Colton’s eyes flew open, and he was about to growl, but my face dared him to challenge me.

He shut his mouth, glaring at me. I leaned to the right, pushing the band of my pants down until I could get my foot to pull them off.

At one point, I moved and my tip pressed into Colton and I nearly came just from that.

He groaned, his forehead falling onto my shoulder.

Slowly, I leaned him back against the curved stone that made the edge of the pool.

His whole body was now out of the pool. Water fell off his chest as his breathing picked up.

I took his legs in my arms and lined myself up to his hole.

Slipping a finger in first, I tested how much I needed to prep him.

For how wet he was, Colton was far tighter than he had been.

I wondered if it was part of the healing process when he had Kayla.

Sticking another finger in, scissoring them and pushing deep, I enjoyed him squirming.

After a minute, I added a third finger, but I knew I didn’t need to do much anymore.

He was dripping slick into the springs now.

“Alpha…I’m going…to come.” His voice rasped as he tried to find purchase on the smooth stone.

“No, you don’t. Not without me.”

My fingers pulled out of him so fast that he gasped. Lining up my cock, I pressed against his hole. He sucked in a breath before I pushed further, my tip entering him. A moan left me as my eyes rolled back in my head. His body felt so good, and I felt a wave of his emotions.

“Colt…”

It was almost overwhelming. Not just the pleasure and his need, but everything else was washing through me. The pain, the loneliness, the feeling that he was being crushed under the weight of everything. I actually struggled for a moment to gather myself.

Holding his legs tight, I pulled him to me, slamming his body against mine as I filled him up completely. He came, ribbons of white covering his stomach and chest. Colton cried out as I pulled back and pushed into him again. Not giving him anymore time.

I continued my pace, hard and torturously slow.

It was supposed to help me last longer, but I was a lost cause.

Not with Colton. He knew that as well as I did.

His ass tightened, and I growled, refusing to come until he came a second time.

We ended up coming together, with my hand wrapped around his shaft again and my thumb rubbing the ridge of his tip.

We were both out of breath, and I leaned over him, still inside.

The last thing I wanted was to leave. I unhooked my arms and quickly pulled him to me, sitting back on one of the stones placed in the water to sit on.

Leaning my back against the edge of the spring, I held onto Colton’s hips as he straddled me.

“Hi.” I smiled up at him, and he shook his head.

“Hi?”

Nodding, I tucked some of his hair behind his ear. “I missed you.”

I didn’t mean it as anything, but his eyes welled up with tears. “I missed you too, Mar.”

He leaned down, stealing a kiss and placing his hands on my chest. “This wasn’t what I planned for our first time after so long.”

“That’s just how we are.” I let out a long sigh. “My dad is going to be pissed. He said I needed to grab you for something. He wanted to talk before he took a flight.”

Colton hummed and then shrugged. “I’m sure it’s fine. If it were really important, he would have come himself. He might actually have tried to see if we would talk.”

“We failed the test if that’s the case.” I smirked, and he chuckled.

“I don’t know; we are talking now.”

I swallowed, running my hands up and down his sides. “You’re so thin, Colt.”

He smirked down at me. “Well, yeah, I’m not pregnant anymore.”

“You need to stop giving me sass, mate.” I growled at him, lifting him a little before pushing back down on my cock.

“I’m sorry. It’s going to take me a while. It was a defense mechanism to deal with you being in the house, but it not being you.”

Letting out a sigh, I frowned. “This is the most you’ve spoken to me in the past two weeks.”

“I know. There is a lot in my head. I didn’t want to lash out at you simply because I’m still working through things.” He gave me a sad smile. “It’s easy to tell everyone else not to do it, but it’s hard when it’s me. I could easily avoid you before. Now, I don’t have that leeway.”

“I don’t know. You’ve been doing a damn good job at keeping me at arm’s length.”

Colton reached out, brushing my cheek with his fingers. “I know. I’m sorry. It’s both a blessing and a curse that you don’t remember.”

Taking a deep breath, I let it out slowly. “Can I ask a few questions?”

He nodded, his hand pushing back against my chest to hold him up. I don’t know why I didn’t expect him to agree, but I didn’t have a question ready. There were so many. As much as I didn’t really want to know happened to me, I wanted to know everything that happened to him.

“How was Kayla’s birth?”

He laughed, shrugging. “You would be better off asking Eva. Or Mike and Rin.”

“Mike and Sabrina?”

Nodding, Colton put his hands on my shoulders, the touch feather-like. “They had come out to visit after finals. Candy and Beau arranged it to surprise me. Kayla dropped that morning really low. So Eva wanted to check on me.”

“Near your due date?”

“No. We just had our thirty-seven checkup the day before, too. I guess that’s sort of close.”

I settled back into the edge, my thumbs brushing against his skin under the water absently. “And you were in labor?”

“I had dilated, but only about four centimeters. After sleeping a few hours, I moved to six. From six to contractions felt really short. My water broke and I think it was only about two hours later.”

“That’s fast!” I blinked at him. “How much did she weigh? If she was three weeks early…”

“Nine pounds, Mar. That little dragon was nine pounds, three ounces. The pain…I remember cursing you up and down. That I would never do that again.”

I barked out a laugh. “I’ll take it. It was partially my fault.”

“I had to break my promise.”

My eyebrow rose. “Oh?”

He nodded, smirking. “Mike helped me get into the shower after I gave birth.”

Shaking my head, I rolled my eyes. “I am already jealous and you drop that on me. How dare you.”

“Sorry, Alpha. I’ll do better next time.”

Squeezing his hip, I shook my head. “Next time, only you, me, and Eva are going to be in that room. The thought that Mike and Sabrina scented you makes me livid, but if they helped even a little when I wasn’t there, I have to let it go.”

“It did. Though Beau was the one who helped the most over the time you were gone. She’s the closest scent to yours.”

My eyes widened. “Not Keith?”

Colton wrinkled his nose, and I laughed. “Not even close. Beau has your underlying scent, but then smells more citrusy. Keith smells…I don’t know. Gross. It’s bitter, like unripe berries or something. It’s hard to explain.”

“Interesting. Maybe that’s why Beau and I have always been closer. We alike more than we know.”

He nodded, waiting a moment. “Do you have anything else you want to ask?”

“How many episodes are you having a month now?”
