Epilogue
The conversation was immediately dropped, and I couldn’t help but pat myself on the back. I hadn’t really thought about it. I’d been nauseous at school, but nothing that made me think to check.
Marcus and I had been “building our pack,” as he called it. My body, despite the hell it had been put through since I was young, was still ready, willing, and happy to give Marcus his army that he wanted. With hardly any lasting effects other than our sanity from having toddlers repeatedly.
We were actually having our longest spell of not having kids. We would hit year six in two months. Marcus hadn’t exactly been itching, but he seemed to be more attentive to putting the cum back inside of me if any dribbled out.
Pulling up to the house, I took a deep breath as I opened the door. The smell of home was always so wonderful to come back to. It still took my breath away sometimes, even after all these years. We’d had to renovate it twice already, but it still stood tall as the primary hub for the territory.
Since the lair was linked to me and my magic, I could feel all the kids running around the house and the backyard. Walking into the house, I took another whiff and smiled.
“Lasagna? And garlic bread?”
I stepped into the kitchen and put my arms out. Marcus stepped forward wearing his apron, and he kissed my lips. It was claiming and all-consuming, and I loved it. My legs melted, and Marcus wrapped his arms around my waist to hold me up.
“Dad might be pregnant again.” Caleb just outed me as he tossed his keys into the bowl.
I growled at him. “Caleb is failing his finance class.”
He froze. “Dad!”
“You fired first.” I called back to him.
Marcus kissed me one more time before setting me on my feet. “We are going to have a talk, young man. We don’t fail classes in this household. You know that.” His hands grabbed my hips and pulled me in tight against his front. “And you. Is this a secret you’ve been keeping?”
I shook my head. “I was just a little nauseous today. The kids seem to think that means I’m pregnant.”
Marcus’ hand touched my head. “You don’t have a fever, but you could be sick. You’ve been pushing yourself lately. Especially with my conference coming up.”
“I’m fine, Mar. Trust me.”
He nipped at my lips. “Oh, I know you are fine, my lovely Omega. Get that fine ass of yours upstairs and take a test. If it’s negative, we’ll set you up with some extra fluids and some cold medicine.” Marcus bit more until I finally wiggled out of his grasp.
“Okay, okay. I’m going. Gods. When I’m done, call the kids in so we can eat. Jason and Mel are at the far edge, so you’ll need to yell.”
“How do the kids ever think they can get one past you?”
I shrugged. “Doors give a false sense of security. Plus, I will not flaunt just how connected I am to the lair.”
Taking the stairs up to the third floor, I pulled off my jacket and undid my bow tie. Going into the bathroom, we’d kept a few tests on hand, but I was pretty sure they had all probably expired.
I dipped the stick into the cup after I had filled it and then set it down on the counter.
Walking back into the bedroom, I unbuttoned my shirt and slipped on a more comfortable cotton one.
It still continued to blow me away how comfortable Marcus was in his suits.
Most of the time I felt gross having one on at home.
Just now he was in everything but his jacket.
I wanted some sweats or something a little more homey.
This time I chose jeans since it was family meal night.
I was about to flip the stick over when Marcus came up behind me.
He snatched the test out of my fingers before I could read it.
I turned around, trying to look as he held it close.
His face gave nothing away, and after a moment he set it down on the counter.
“It looks like we’ll have to break out the crib again.”
I tried to keep my smile contained, waiting for him to react. “Are you okay with that?”
Marcus lifted me onto the counter. It knocked a hairbrush, the second test, and a razor into the sink. His lips were on mine, kissing me as if I were his last meal. He captured my moans as I grabbed his vest and pulled him closer. Marcus broke after I rubbed my hands up and down his front.
“Colton, I told you. I want at least a hundred. We had a dry spell. You aren’t getting another one. This time better be six. One for every year you didn’t give me a hatchling.”
I rolled my eyes, but he grabbed my chin.
“Are you sassing me, Omega? Are you really sassing your Alpha?”
“If my Alpha wasn’t so silly, I wouldn’t need to.”
He hummed for a moment. “There are punishments for that, my little mate.”
“Oh? And what’s that?” I smirked at him, rubbing my hand over his hard cock.
Next to me, his glasses and crystals hit the counter. His pheromones filled the space, and I whimpered, ready to come just from his scent alone. Marcus leaned in, his teeth biting my ear before he spoke.
“You cannot come until I tell you to, Little Omega. You are mine to play with, and if you come, then I’ll make sure that I make the theme of the nursery be birds.”
My eyes widened. “You wouldn’t. You know what feathers feel like to me.”
“Then don’t come.”
“Fine.”
“Fine?”
“Fine!”
Marcus chuckled, and then I felt his hand slip down my pants. I don’t know how I didn’t hear it, but he clamped one of the vibrating cock rings onto the base of my dick. Yelping, I moved slightly, but Marcus pulled out his phone, and I whimpered as he adjusted the intensity.
“Mar…no…family dinner…the kids…”
He chuckled. “Don’t come, Colt, or there will be consequences.”
Marcus left the bathroom, and I whimpered at the loss of his touch.
Getting off the counter was easy, but my legs were jelly from the teasing.
Just as I got them working, Marcus sent a long, high-intensity vibration through me, and I cried out, grabbing the door to help hold me until it passed.
Now, this was torture; sweet, hot, horrible torture.
“Kids! Time for dinner! Let’s go!”
Marcus’ voice boomed through the house even though I knew he was on the porch yelling.
I took a deep breath and walked as normally as I could down the steps.
Sitting at the head of the table, all our children stampeded to it in various states of clothing, happiness, and hunger.
Marcus, with Hunter and Summer, loaded the table with the food.
As everyone grabbed food, Kayla took my plate and filled it, throwing an extra garlic bread on it.
I took a bite when my eyes rolled back as Marcus boosted the vibrator.
“That good tonight?” Micah asked, and I just nodded.
“Alright, kids. Heads up, your dad’s pregnant again.”
There were various states of excitement and grumpiness among the kids. It was Kayla who reached out and squeezed my hand. I gave her a wink and a smile as Marcus continued.
“Keep in mind, the base rules still apply. You make your dad cry while he is pregnant, there will be hell to pay. If you do not help, you will receive no help. And stay out of his way when he looks like an adorable whale.”
I took my bread and tossed it across the table.
Everyone burst out laughing, but he glared at me as I nailed him in the face.
Regret followed it up as he cranked up the vibrator and I leaned forward a bit, trying to stop from letting it vibrator move too freely.
Marcus wasn’t letting up and I could feel my dick not only re-harden after sitting down with the kids but also leak.
Finally, after a minute, he let it go down, and I pinched the bridge of my nose.
“Is it a girl or a boy?”
I smiled at Denia. “It’s too early to tell, I think. We just took a test, so I’ll need to go to the doctor to get more information.”
“Well, I’m happy.” Her statement made the whole table giggle.
Wren laughed. “Could be worse. It could be Grandma again.”
That made everyone groan. Marcus scoffed, sounding hurt.
“Your grandmother is still young and spry. She can still absolutely have more children.”
Kayla was holding back laughter, her breathing coming out broken. “Father, please. Not growing up in a flight and mostly being around humans…it’s weird for anyone over the age of forty to have kids.”
All the kids agreed wholeheartedly with her. I leaned in, my eyes narrowing.
“And me? What am I?”
It was Micah this time who answered. “You are a unicorn. Even within shifter society, you and I are unicorns.”
I reached out and held his hand. He’d been my one male Omega.
Summer, Tera, and Denia were all Omegas too, but Micah was like me.
Marcus and I went back and forth on how to help our family.
We didn’t want our children bought and sold like cattle, but we wanted them to live their lives.
It was hard to say be strong in your designation when their own dad was hiding his.
We decided on keeping our designations neutral within the house.
No one was anything except Marcus and me.
At fourteen, you received a huge coming of age party, your own designation information, and a necklace that was personalized with crystals.
Along with a vial of either Beau’s or Mike’s blood to register with the Council.
A house full of either Betas or Alphas. Marcus was their father by blood, but I adopted them all as well.
It was messy, but it meant a bit of freedom before something inevitably would blow up.
We just prepared to protect our kids if that was the case.
Reality, though, was daunting. Marcus and I, so far, only produced perfect levels.
If they were Alpha, it was Alpha-10, and if they were Omegas, they were also Omega-10.
It made me wonder if my donor father had actually mated or been with an Alpha-10, if we wouldn’t be in the same predicament that we were in now.
“Well, you better get over it. Some of you may marry into flights or packs, and some may not. But one thing for sure, I’m going to be making sure your dad is having hatchlings for many, many years.”
The entire table made gagging sounds, but I, along with Marcus, just laughed. These nights were my favorite. Having a big family around the table, laughing and smiling. It was unexplainable how happy I was.
Was the seed of doubt always there? Always.
In the back of my mind, was there a small voice telling me it was all too good to be true?
Absolutely. It never went away, no matter how hard I tried.
It just got easier not to show it. I worried about being found out, about our kids being found out.
It was frightening, but we lived every day, and that was what we needed to do.
“Do you really have to go, Papa?” One of our younger pups, Keenan, whined.
“I do. All leadership Alpha dragons do.”
Caleb snorted. He was salty that he didn’t get to go. He was of age now, but he, like Micah, were wolves. So the invitation did not extend to him. Kayla turned it down after hearing from Beau how the Alphas there treated unmated female Alphas. Everyone else was underage.
“I’ll be back in a couple of months. I’ll be home as soon as I am able.” I could feel Marcus looking at me, and I smiled.
We’d been planning for him to be gone for weeks now. He’d tried to get out of it, since he wasn’t an Alpha of a flight, but he wasn’t retired and still was of eligible age to run a flight. I’d been preparing for him to be gone, trying to make things easier on me.
Having this many kids was nigh impossible to take care of with one parent.
I’d have to make do. Though it did not bode well that I was pregnant right now.
If I had an Alpha, they strained my body a bit more than if they were Omegas.
The morning sickness was worse, the mood swings, and my size.
Everything was just…worse. So hopefully this time around, and for my kids’ sake, I would have a single sweet Omega.
“You’re leaving on Monday, right, Father?”
“Yes.” His sigh was loud, and I smirked.
I blew a kiss across the table. “We’ll be alright. It’s only eight weeks. The kids will help and be good. Right?”
There were giggles, but one glare from Marcus and they stopped.
“Yes, Daddy,” Summer added, and I laughed.
“Well, there you have it. Confirmed. Now, let’s finish because I made dessert and I would like all of you to tell me what you think.”
All the important talk ceased and forks hit plates, and everyone cleaned off their food. I leaned back, taking sips of my water, listening to the chaos as everyone described their day or week. Marcus was talking to Tera when he glanced up at me.
He noticed me taking in the table, and he smiled. It wasn’t cheesy or wide. It was a small, simple recognition. This was our home. We’d made it. While it was crazy, messy, and sometimes I felt like burning down the house, it was worth it all.
We didn’t know what the future held, but I knew, even with just the kids around us, I would consider it fulfilled. I would do my best as a mate, a father, and a protector. Marcus felt the same. Kayla reached out again, squeezing my hand.
“Are you okay?”
I nodded. “More than okay.”
