Epilogue

Eighteen months later – an article in the local newspaper

Hall You Need is Love!

When Jennifer Armstrong saved Starlight Hall, she never thought she’d one day be the belle of it too.

The bells rang out at Starlight Chapel as beautiful bride Jen and her handsome groom, Liam Lancaster, tied the knot. They exited the ancient church through its arched oak doors, then stood upon the limestone steps as a rainbow of confetti whirled through the air.

The bride and groom’s joy was so palpable that, if there’d been a happiness meter, their reading would have rocketed right off the charts and into outer space.

The entire village of Starlight Croft were invited to the nuptials. Everyone applauded the new Mrs Lancaster. Her bridesmaids were Joy Armstrong and Alice Attwood. The best man was James Armstrong. A sumptuous wedding feast, followed by dancing, took place at Starlight Hall.

At the close of the evening, the DJ invited all the unmarried female guests to come forward. They gathered on the dance floor to catch the bride’s wedding bouquet.

The posy was nearly caught by the village’s oldest resident, Hetty Cartwright – aka Oracle Hetty – but at the last moment she bobbed down permitting the flurry of petals to be caught by bridesmaid Alice.

Asked why she ducked, Hetty confessed to an urgent message from spirit that she step aside as Alice was ‘next in line’ to marry.

Seemingly, Hetty’s prediction was correct. Seconds later, Miss Attwood’s boyfriend – Mr Benjamin Fromings – went down on one knee to ask for his love’s hand in marriage.

The bride and her children were then whisked away by the groom to their new family home – the penthouse at the luxury block of apartments now known as Moonlight Mansions.

We can also confirm that Miss Attwood accepted Mr Fromings’ marriage proposal. Witnesses said that she launched herself ecstatically at Mr Fromings by way of acceptance. He was then taken to Accident and Emergency but later discharged with mild concussion and superficial bruising.
