“They’ve reinforced again,” the man beside him says.
Sentinel doesn’t respond immediately.

The man frowns. “I thought that was doubt.”
Sentinel’s gaze sharpens slightly.
“It was.”

“Now it’s distance.”
Because distance creates hesitation.

“They won’t hesitate for each other,” Sentinel murmurs.
That makes them faster.
More efficient.
More dangerous.
The man shifts slightly. “Then we proceed with the location?”
Sentinel turns slowly.
“Yes.”
Because now the equation is clear.
You don’t separate them before the bond forms.
You wait.
You let it solidify.

You weaponize it.
“Everything is in place?” Sentinel asks.
“Yes, sir.”
“Good.”
His gaze returns to the screen.
To them.
Standing too close.
Too certain.
Too aligned.
“They believe this makes them stronger,” the man says.
Sentinel’s expression doesn’t change.
“It does.”
A pause.
Then—
“That’s why it will break them.”
Silence settles over the room.
Heavy.
Anticipatory.

“When?” the man asks.

He reaches forward.
