I was walking through the door, when I was slammed backwards.
My back hit the door, slamming it shut.
“What the fuck Declan?”
“Do you know how worried I was?”
Declan growled.
His arms shaking as.
he pinned me to the door.
Were his arms shaking? “Worried? Why would you be worried?" Jaxon must have linked with him the moment I went missing.

"I had no clue where you were, and why the fuck did you just announce who you were to everyone?!" He growled.
I set my hands on his chest and pushed him away from me.
I tried to step around him, but he grabbed my wrist and spun me back to face him.
He forced me to look up at him and for the first time, I noticed how disheveled his appearance was.
He hadn’t shaved, there were shadows under his eyes, and I could feel how fast his heart was beating under the palm on my hand.
He leaned forward, resting his head against the top of mine. He took a deep breath but didn’t say anything for a moment. “You had been missing for hours Natalia. I didn’t know if you were safe, captured, or dead.”
He whispered.
Hours? No, it only felt like thirty minutes at the longest.
“Why were you out in the forest, little wolf?”
he asked.
“I needed to run Declan, run for the sake of running, not just for training.
I train.
I eat.
I sleep.
And repeat every damn day.
I stay away from the pack on the off chance someone might ask questions and I slip up.

He rubbed his free hand down his face.
“Jaxon offered to take me on a run today, and I decided to go with him.”
I told him.
“But you left his side.
He linked with me in a panic, he couldn’t find you, and no one can link with you.”
He said, his chest vibrating beneath my fingertips.
“I left Jaxon because I heard someone cry out! I had to know if…”
He stepped forward, tilting my chin up to meet his eyes.
“I feared the worst… I felt like my whole world stopped when Jaxon linked with me and said you were missing.”
His eyes glowed as he searched my face for answers.
I leaned forward and placed the palm of my hand on his cheek and spoke, “I am just fine, the wound on my shoulder is already completely healed.”
His whole body froze.
“Wound? You were injured?!”
He growled, then began running his hands over my body to check for injuries.
“I will kill whoever harmed you”
he ground out.
“I will rip their hearts from their chest and shove it down their throat for daring to touch what is mine.”
“I was attacked by a wolf, but Jaxon took care of him.
He found me right as I was about to-”
He leaned forward, resting his head on the top of my head, his chest rising and falling at a rapid pace.
I could hear the sound of his heart beating against my ear as I rested my head on his chest.
Inhaling the scent of him, that woodsy smell warming me inside and out.
I stepped back, and whispered, “Breathe Declan, I am okay.
I am here.
Unharmed and alive.”
While pulling his face towards mine.
“We need to talk about what you just told the pack.”
He said, while trailing his nose up the side of my neck.
“What I told your pack, was true.
I want this bond.
I want to be their Luna and your mate.”
I told him.
He cleared his throat and took a step back, his eyes searched mine before he growled, “You told them that you wanted to be their Luna, that you wanted to be my mate in every sense of the word, that your were their rightful queen and then you told them you were going to sacrifice yourself for their safety?!”
His voice deepening to a level that make my body tense.

Woman have been going missing and I am assuming it is because they are unsure of what I look like.
