Chapter Seven

Aftercare with Briar—whether post-orgasm or post-panic attack—seemed to involve a lot of snacks, water, chocolate and snuggles.

After Scar had come down from the dizzying heights of pleasure into which Briar had sent her, she’d collapsed in the other woman’s arms. Whimpering softly. Briar had responded by feeding her by hand, and wrapping them both in the softest blanket ever to blanket.

Scar liked aftercare. She’d missed it.

Briar got out her phone and put on Bluey for them both to watch. Scar had protested that she was feeling Little anymore, but she’d ended up leaning up against Briar anyway, sucking her thumb and giggling at Bingo, Bluey and Muffin’s antics.

“Bingo’s my fav’rite,” she said. “Muffin bites more, but Bingo is sweet.”

“Just like my sweet girl then,” said Briar.”

“Yus.” She’d started fussing then, and Briar had given her the teether, and she’d settled back down, gnawing at it and practicing her biting.

Eventually, after a good ten or so episodes, Briar shifted, and Scar realized that at some point they were going to have to get up and leave this room, this bubble, and face the rest of the club.

That snapped her out of Littlespace, fast.

She didn’t want to leave the safe, intimate space they’d inhabited together, and she certainly didn’t want to have to get dressed and go out and act like nothing had happened.

Clearly, Scar wasn’t very good at hiding her thoughts because Briar reached over and patted her hand. “I was thinking that we could just go crash at mine tonight. I’ll grab a onesie from the shop, and you can get changed and feel all bundled up and cozy. How does that sound, sweetness?”

Scar nodded. “Yeah, that sounds good.”

“You know that nothing’s changed, right?”

That made Scar sit up with a start. “What?!”

“Ah shit,” Briar waved her hands in confusion. “I didn’t mean it like… fuck, no. I mean that nothing has changed just because the scene has ended. You’re still my Little girl, and I’m still your Daddy. That’s who we are to each other, for as long as you want to be.”

Narrowing her eyes, Scar said, “You’re sure? Because if you suddenly get all freaked out, or all ‘I have a job, I can’t be a Daddy’ on me…”

The look Briar gave her had Scar squirming in place. “Cheeky minx.”

Scar flipped Briar off.

Instantly, she regretted it, as Briar bundled her out of the blanket and had Scar over her knee in less than a minute. “Do good girls flip off their Daddies?”

“If their Daddies are being silly,” mumbled Scar and then squawked when a slap stinged hard on her butt. “I’m sorry! I’m sorry, Daddy! I won’t do it again.”

“Really,” asked Briar, who didn’t sound in the slightest bit convinced. “Just like I know you’d never nibble Daddy.”

Scar’s eyes widened in faux-innocence. “Why would I nibble Daddy when I has a teether?” She brandished it and almost took out Briar. “Honestly Daddy, yous so silly sometimes.”

Oh I see. So good girls don’t nibble Daddies, but they do flip them off. Wow, there are all kinds of rules that I’m learning today.” She delivered a volley of slaps to Scar’s ass—more in jest than anything else—and then flipped Scar upright again. “You going to be good now?”

“Yus.”

“You sure?”

Scar nodded vigorously. “Yus.”

“What onesie would you like?”

“T’rainbow one!” The club actually had any number of rainbow ones in stock, and Scar liked them all. She also liked the fact that they came in all sizes, and that they even had a rental service, for people who couldn’t take them home.

“Right you are.” Briar tucked Scar back into her blankets and unlocked the office door. You be a good girl and stay there, okay?”

After only a few moments though, there was a knock on the door.

“Hello?” called out Scar.

Ethan popped his head round. He was a quiet Little, with a high powered job, and a stressful boss, and always seemed to be on the verge of exhaustion.

When he saw Scar on the couch, he smiled.

“Hey Scar, Jacob thought you might want some comfort food after earlier, so he made you a big bowl of mac and cheese.”

She beamed at him. “Come in, come in!” Anyone bearing food from Jacob deserved nothing but the red carpet rolled out for them. Jacob was an excellent chef and his mac and cheese was legendary. “Thanks so much!”

There was a pause as she negotiated the blankets, and let them fall around her shoulders as she eagerly took the bowl. “Wanna sit?”

Ethan looked unsure. “Tis okays. Daddy won’t mind.”

“…Daddy…?” His voice trailed off and the Black man looked a little confused. “I didn’t know you had a Daddy.”

“I didn’t but then Briar came an’ rescued me an’ she’s awesome an’ funny an’ really strict, an’ also now my Daddy!”

Her happiness must be catching because a wistful smile alit on Ethan’s face. “That does sound nice,” he said. “I wish I had a Daddy.”

“You will have a Daddy,” she reassured him, buoyed by her own good luck. “You will have all of the Daddies! So many Daddies for good boy Ethan.” She hugged him impetuously. “I didn’t think I’d have a Daddy,” she explained. “Takes time. An’ yucky patience. An’ brattin’.”

Ethan’s eyes widened at the idea of bratting.

“Sometimes, brattin’,” she amended hurriedly. “Not for everyone.”

“Hey there you two,” said Briar, and Ethan jumped up anxiously. “I was bringing pasta for Scar from Jacob.”

“That was a really lovely thing to do, Ethan. Thank you. Did you thank Ethan, sweetness?”

“Yes, Daddy!” said Scar with her mouth full. “Is delish, Daddy!”

“I’m very glad. I got you a onesie.” The onesie she’d picked out had a glittery tutu attached to it. It was the perfect choice; Scar loved being able to indulge in the girlish things that she hadn’t been allowed to touch in childhood.

“Fank you, Daddy!” Scar would have tackled Briar in a hug, but mac and cheese, and also she wasn’t wearing anything under the blanket and she didn’t want to scare Ethan. “Ethan, look!”

“You’re going to look so pretty,” he said earnestly. “I’m going to tell Jacob you liked the pasta.”

“Fank you!” she said again, calling after him.

“Finish your pasta and then we’ll make a move,” said Briar. “Koa’s going to lock up tonight.”

Briar didn’t live very far from the club, in fact, her apartment was right around the corner, but it was significantly nicer that Scar’s.

Scar had roomed with various people after she’d left her ex, and eventually found a tiny place that she could afford on her own.

She would not have been able to afford Briar’s penthouse apartment.

It had views that stretched out over the city, and beautiful, classy décor. Minimalist. Nothing too cluttered and nothing messy. Everything in its place.

Scar wasn’t sure how she, in her rainbow onesie and tutu, would fit in a place like this. But before she could excuse herself, Briar had opened a wicker basket in the corner and started hauling out blanket after blanket, pillow after pillow, until the entire living room was awash with soft fabrics.

“All I need to do is switch on the fairy lights,” she said, “and voila! The perfect daybed for my Little girl. More Bluey?”

Scar could always go for more Bluey.

“I loves you,” she mumbled under her breath as they cuddled up.

“Pardon, sweetness?”

“Nuffink!” she replied sweetly.

“Scarlet…”

“Just that I loves you, is all.”

“Yeah? I love you too. Always have, just didn’t realize how much until you trusted me with yourself this evening.” Briar leaned down and kissed her. “You’re my girl, Scarlet.”

“Yes, Daddy,” said Briar’s Scarlet, and snuggled in close. And as they fell asleep together, Scar’s head against Briar’s chest, held warmly in her Daddy’s arms, she realized that this was it. She was home.
