Chapter Seven
Darkness shrouded them. Tiny moans kept slipping past Kirkland’s lips.
Fabrice massaged his feet and lower legs, babying Kirkland like he had never experienced before.
He was in heaven and never wanted to move again.
He had never understood why Fabrice treated him so well.
Kirkland had also never met anyone like Fabrice.
He was a gentleman and good all the way to his core.
Every minute he spent out of Fabrice’s company was hell.
He was always sick with the need to see him.
“All the sounds you’re making have me ready for round two.”
Kirkland laughed. “I’m not. It’s been an extremely long time since I bottomed for anyone.”
“I’m honored.”
The sexy French accent cutting through the dark had goosebumps skirting Kirkland’s skin.
Fabrice covered him with a blanket and continued massaging. “I can’t have you getting cold.”
“I’m not. You’re the one causing my chill bumps.
” He couldn’t stop smiling and the joy sounded in his voice.
“I’ve never been this happy.” As the words left his lips, Kirkland’s smile slipped as he realized how deep that confession went.
“I’ve never been this happy,” he repeated in the serious tone Fabrice deserved.
When Fabrice spoke, he sounded as if he hesitated to say anything. “Living in this family has been isolating.”
“Oh, no. Are you saying I’m convenient?” Kirkland infused as much humor into the words as possible. He knew that wasn’t the case.
Fabrice lightly swatted his leg. “Stop. You should know better. I’m trying to say I really haven’t felt much of anything at all for a while now.
Every morning, I get up and go to work. I keep my mind locked on my responsibilities.
When you came here, I can’t explain what happened.
I just knew you were mine. Something inside me lit.
My life has felt very different since the first time I saw you. I’d very much like to keep you.”
Kirkland didn’t miss a beat. “You have me. I don’t even need any discussions on what we are.
We’re together. I think we have been for a long time without addressing the topic.
Please don’t think you have to do things like rubbing my legs and feet to keep me.
I’m not that high-maintenance.” Kirkland laughed. “I’m just happy to be here.”
Fabrice pushed the cover higher and kissed Kirkland’s knee before pulling the blanket back down.
The sweetness of the gesture had the backs of Kirkland’s eyes stinging.
“The foot rub is no bribe. I can’t stop touching you. What if I wake up and you’re gone? If I go to sleep, tomorrow, you might give me the cold shoulder again. That would rip my heart out.”
Kirkland rolled upward and towed Fabrice into his arms. He covered Fabrice and nuzzled his neck as he cuddled with him.
“I’m not running from us. That’s a promise.
Since we’re making confessions, the first time I saw you, my heart bled.
I’ve never wanted anyone as badly in my life, and I knew you’d never be mine. ”
The sweetest kiss brushed Kirkland’s lips. “None of that bullshit now.”
A smile exploded across Kirkland’s lips. “So, um, about earlier.” Kirkland’s face heated, but he didn’t stop. “I’m fairly sure you said you love me.”
“Yes, and?” His response was so matter-of-fact that there was no way Kirkland could accuse him of lying.
Kirkland licked his lips in his nervousness. His mouth suddenly felt dry as hell. “So… it turns out that I’m very much in love with you too. I have been for a while now. I just didn’t want to break my own heart.”
With the light of the electronics in the room highlighting Fabrice’s face, there was no missing Fabrice’s huge grin.
“That’s good to hear since you’re not getting away from me.
I might’ve been adopted into this family, but I’m every bit as insane as everyone else here.
If you try to get away, I’ll stalk you like one of the many assassins living under this roof.
No shame, only sheer determination. I know I’ve found the one. You’d better know it too.”
Kirkland’s face hurt from smiling. He recognized Fabrice’s words were a warning and a tad batshit, but Kirkland had never been so onboard in his entire life. Fabrice was the one too. Bring on the madness.
Fabrice heard himself. He knew he sounded psycho.
No fucks were given. Kirkland had danced around him for too long.
The late-night conversations and early-morning visits had Fabrice’s heart all the way in.
This was a relationship built on friendship.
That meant Kirkland knew him and had to already have known Fabrice was a product of his upbringing.
There was nothing he wouldn’t do, especially when his heart was on the line.
A wicked-sounding chuckle cut through the darkness.
“Foster brought me into the fold. I have my own LED mask and everything. So yeah. I’m a little off my rocker too.
Same rules apply with you. No getting away.
No touching other people. You’re either all the way in or you’re out.
Let’s be done with all the games. Are you in or out? ”
“In.” Fabrice hadn’t hesitated. “Fair warning, if you ever touch anyone else, you’ll see a side of me you didn’t know existed. I don’t share.”
“Same.”
On their sides, facing each other, they stared at each other, using what little light was in the room to hold each other’s gaze.
Fabrice couldn’t see the color of Kirkland’s eyes that he loved so much, but he felt the passion burning in them.
He moved, urging Kirkland onto his back.
Fabrice covered Kirkland’s body with his.
He lowered his head and swiped a soft kiss across Kirkland’s lips.
Kirkland chased him, making Fabrice every bit as hard as he had been earlier with the sexiness of that move.
With their cocks trapped between them, Fabrice felt exactly how aroused Kirkland was too.
He wouldn’t hurt his sexy daddy by trying for a second round.
There were a hundred ways Fabrice could please him.
Their kiss deepened. Their tongues battled.
Fabrice rocked, humping Kirkland like a teen make-out session.
A sound came from the back of Kirkland’s throat and spoke to Fabrice’s soul.
Fabrice kept up the pace, getting an ab workout as he did everything possible to make Kirkland come.
Kirkland already breathed as if he had run a marathon.
He whimpered as Fabrice rubbed their dicks together.
Every sound Kirkland made drove Fabrice wild.
Fabrice threw all his passion behind everything he did in life.
This was no different. He needed Kirkland to leave this bed addicted to him.
The morning sun might make them seem less beautiful to him.
Fabrice couldn’t have that. He needed Kirkland to know he could always depend on Fabrice to make him fly.
Kirkland’s whimpers got closer together.
Fabrice picked up speed. Kirkland’s short fingernails dug into Fabrice’s biceps, and his whimpers turned more desperate by the second.
When cum filled the space between them, Fabrice refused to release Kirkland from their kiss.
He wanted to feel Kirkland’s moans vibrating around their entwined tongues.
The sexiness of the moment sent Fabrice into a soul-stealing orgasm.
His body shook from more than just an overload of pleasure.
It finally hit Fabrice that they were real.
They were a they. He had never had so much to lose in his life.
