Chapter Nine Rose

Abby: Are you ready for us? I’m so excited you have no fucking idea!

Also, I’m going to be staying longer than my break.

I’m thinking about transferring because the vet program I want to go to is close to you anyway.

I talked to my parents and honestly, I feel like making the move now would be better and easier than when I am in the throws of my vet program.

I almost jump off the couch when I see Abby’s message. I had no idea she was even considering going to school here. I always thought she wanted to stay in Texas and work at some ranch there.

Me: Wait, wait! Hold up! Since when were you planning on moving? You’ve never said any of this to me. We have been friends our whole lives. You have had your shit mapped out since you were a baby. What is going on?

Abby: Yeah, well I’ll explain everything at a later time.

I’m sure you’ll understand later. But seriously, are you ready for us?

We are currently checking in at the hotel and let me tell you your daddy did not hold back on spoiling all of us.

Really, I know he’s happily married, but do you think he would still be my sugar daddy?

I have always wanted to travel like this and really don’t ever want to stop lol.

Me: You’re messed up in the head. Seriously. He already treats you like another daughter. So gross. Just gross. When do you think you guys will be ready to meet up? Or should I just come to the hotel?

Abby: Can you tear yourself away from tall dark and hot as fuck? By the way, I want to see him. Pictures. Please.

Me: He’s not here and won’t be back until after the holidays. Club business.

Abby: bummer. I want to meet a biker. Take me places.

Abby: Come to the hotel. I think you’ll want to stay here with us. Big old sleepover. Plus this suite is fucking amazing.

Before I can respond my phone rings, I see it is Rage and I smile.

“Hello?”

“Hey, what’s going on?”

“I was just trying to figure out the plans with my family and girlfriends who came into town for the break. How was your ride?”

“We just stopped for gas and a break. But it’s been smooth so far. I wanted to get in touch because Dragon hit me up about a phone call he got from Missy this morning.”

“Oh, okay.”

“Yeah, what happened? What girls were they, do you know?”

“Um, as far as the ones that were pestering me, it was the same ones as always, Kitty, Sin, Tiff and Ash. I don’t know about the ones bitching at Liza.”

“Are you okay? They didn’t put their hands on you?”

“No, but they probably would have if Missy didn’t step in when she did. They had talked about how they were going to not be so nice about making sure I knew I was stealing their man away. Which is fucked up. I mean you told me that you had fucked them before,

but they act like you made them some unspoken promises or some shit. Are you still fucking them?”

The first time I’ve ever asked him this question and I don’t know why but my heart is beating rapidly in my chest. I’m praying that the answer is what I am hoping for, but terrified that it won’t be.

“Fuck no.” I breathe a fucking sigh of relief after he says that.

“I haven’t fucked those bitches since long before I met you. I don’t know why some of the new club girls are like this. I don’t know if you heard, but a bunch of them are causing problems with Lash and Sophie too. I just wanted to know if you knew which ones they were so we can bring it up to Pres.

I don’t know if Missy knew all of them or not. We want to make sure that there is some sort of punishment. The brothers can’t have this happen every time they bring a woman back to the clubhouse.”

“Yeah, that doesn’t really seem like it would be great. I guess they just think all the single brothers should only take them to bed.”

“Yeah, well apparently they think the taken brothers should also be theirs too.”

I don’t know if he is talking about himself and part of me hopes he is, but I don’t bring it up because again, stupid.

“Alright, I’ve got to head back on the road, but I’ll let you know when I’m back.”

“Sounds good. Have a safe trip.”

We hang up and I decide to head over to the hotel to see my family, but before I get out of the door I get a text and I see it is from an unknown number.

Unknown: He is not good enough for you. You need to stop whoring yourself out to that disgusting biker. We both know that you are not meant for a man like that. The things he does to you in bed, the way you pretend to like them, that shit needs to end.

I look around the room and I feel very fucking violated.

Is there someone in my apartment? Is there someone listening to me?

I grab my phone knowing there is someone that I can text that can see if there are any type of electronic signals other than my own coming from inside my apartment, but I know my ass is not going to be waiting around here to find out.

So I grab my coat and rush out the door with my phone and purse in my hand.

Making sure the door is locked I look both ways down the hall and do not see anyone.

I screenshot the message from this unknown person to make sure it doesn’t get unsent and disappear as I head towards the elevator.

I then send the screenshot to the one person I know has the ability to hack into anything that could be in my apartment that is working off my network.

I don’t even make it to my car before my phone rings.

“Finn?”

“Hello my little cousin. It has been a long time since I’ve heard from you. Now I am getting messages from you like this and I’m sorry, but what the fuck is going on down there?”

“Yeah, well, I don’t know. I’ve felt like someone has been following me. Then I get that. I don’t know it's freaking me out.”

“Have you told your dad?”

“No and you’re not going to tell him either.”

“Oh and why is that?”

“Because I’m asking you nicely and you're my cousin you love me. You’d do anything to protect me.”

“Yes, but your dad should know.”

“No, because I already know you snooped into my life already and told him things that are not his business. Don’t you have more important things to do or do I have to call up Uncle Declan?”

“Listen, I was just looking out for you.”

“Why are you even interested in what is going on with Devil’s Chaos down in Virginia? Isn’t there one up in Maine that is working with the family?”

“Yes, but really I cannot talk to you about these things Rose and you know that. Your father and your family are out of the family business.”

“Well then stop butting into my business unless I ask.”

“Ceart go leor. Tá tú chomh ceanndána.” Okay. You’re so stubborn.

“Yes, well, I get that from our grandparents. Now please help me. Is there someone or something in my apartment? I know you can hack the systems even though you are up there. So please help me out.”

“I will work on it and I will get back to you because of the creepy fucking nature of that message, it will be on my top priority list. You may want to find somewhere else to stay for the time being.”

“Well my dad is in town with the whole fucking slew of children, so I will just stay at the hotel with them.”

“Good. Is breá liom tú, a chol ceathrar.” I love you, cousin.

“Is breá liom tú freisin, a Fhinn.” I love you too, Finn.

With that I hang up and head to the hotel to meet my family. My phone buzzes again in my hand and I sigh, why am I so popular today?

Daddy: Hey meet me at this address

I look at the pinned address and am so confused because that is not the address of the hotel and in fact that address is outside of the city limits.

There is a lot of open land there. Conveniently it is close to where the clubhouse is because they too bought up a bunch of ranch land when the club started and now they own like a shitload of land.

So I put the address into my gps and head out to see what this mysterious address is that my dad wants me to go to.

Pulling up to the address I see that it is a big open area with a sold sign sticking in it.

So I drive until I see a few vehicles parked and basically a whole army of people.

After I park and get out of the car I am basically swarmed by all of them.

Don’t get me wrong I missed everyone, but maybe they should come in like turns.

“Okay, okay, let her go. I want to talk to her.” I hear dad say and everyone parts like the red sea. “Come here my sweet little flower.”

I walk over to my dad and stand next to him, “What is going on, daddy? Where the hell are we?”

“Well my sweet girl, this is your Christmas present.”

I look around with wide eyes, “My Christmas present?”

“Yes, see I know you have this dream and I know you want to do it all on your own, but I thought I would help you out. This is 160 acres of land I purchased for you to build a home and to start your business. I know you have so many ideas and they are beautiful ideas.

I want you to have a head start for when you finish school. This way you will have everything set up and designated with where you want everything to be. I will help you come up with a plan if you want. I also brought your friends who can help you as well.

I mean Sutton can help you with the interior designing, now Brinley couldn’t be here, but I figured you’d want her to help design your home, the main equestrian buildings, the therapy center, the wedding and event venue, the reception hall, the barns,

the guest cottages anything else that you wish to start. You’ve got so many wonderfully smart friends and family, that I believe we can all pitch in to help you make your dream come true.”

“Daddy, I don’t know what to say.”

He comes over and wraps his arm around me, “You don’t have to say anything. I know what this means to you. I won’t say I won’t miss you at home and wish you would build your dream in Eden Falls, but I know you were meant for bigger and better things.

I want you to spread your wings and have everything you ever dreamed of.”

“YEAH BITCH! Get ready for me to move in because I’m going to be helping you!”

I chuckle when I hear Abby scream from somewhere behind us.

“You were never going to get rid of that girl, she’s always going to be family.” Dad whispers.

“Yeah, she is the best friend a girl could ask for.”

“I think you’re going to have to worry about more of them wanting to stay once you get everything set up with this place. They have missed you, Rose. So have we.”

I turn and wrap my arms around my dad’s waist.

“I’ve missed you all too, daddy. I’m glad you are all here, even if I feel like a whole army is invading.”

He chuckles and squeezes me. He rests his chin on my head.

“Alright, let’s go get some dinner before your nieces and nephews stage a revolution.”

I nod my head against his chest when I pull away. I look at this wonderful piece of land my daddy got for me to build my dream and I know that I am the luckiest girl around to have such a supportive family.

“Let’s go eat.”
