Chapter 28 #3

I grip her hips, holding her steady as I tongue fuck her pussy, the taste of her combined with the sounds she makes above me pushes my own restraint further than I expect.

Her rhythm turns erratic, desperate, as she moans, her arousal dripping down my chin.

I can tell she is close by the way her thighs are vibrating.

When her release finally crashes through her, she grinds down hard against me, a cry tearing from her throat that echoes off the rain-streaked windows.

She squirts on my tongue as her whole body shakes through the aftershocks before she finally stills.

I slide her down my body afterward, her cum smearing across my chest. She moves to her knees in front of me and begins working the button and zipper of my trousers with hands still unsteady.

I watch her as she shoves them down along with everything beneath them, freeing my hard, aching cock.

I kick them off entirely, and she wastes no time as she brings her hands around my girth.

She jerks me up and down as she brings her mouth closer.

Her blue eyes look up at me, as I rub the tip of my cock against her mouth.

She opens wide as she sucks the wet tip, and takes all of it to the back of her throat.

I grip my hands into her hair, as I guide her, thrusting my hips upward to meet her.

I feel the tip hitting the back of her throat, and it makes me even more feral.

I fuck her mouth as she chokes, and attempts to catch her breath.

I feel the sensation rise in my groin, but I decide that I want to come inside of her pussy—not her mouth this time.

I pull her head back and lift her off of her knees.

“Ride my cock, Sophie.”

She stands and moves on top of me, straddling my hips, her knees braced against the cushions on either side of me, her hand wrapping around my length to guide me to her entrance.

She sinks down slowly, taking me inch by inch, and the tight, slick heat of her has my head tipping back against the cushion, a groan tearing loose from somewhere deep in my chest. She braces her palms against my chest, finding her rhythm, rolling her hips in a slow, deliberate grind that has both of us breathing hard within seconds.

I grip her waist, guiding her movements, and the lantern light flickers across her skin with every roll of her body over mine.

Her head tips back, eyes falling shut, and the sight of her fully lost in the feel of us moving together has my own restraint slipping further with every passing second.

I drag my palms up her sides, over the curve of her breasts, before settling them back at her hips, helping guide the pace she has already set.

I sit up beneath her, wrapping one arm around her waist to pull her flush against my chest, and the new angle has her gasping, her nails digging into my shoulders.

I catch one of her nipples between my lips, and she arches into the contact, her pace quickening, driven by the same need coiling tight in both of us.

Outside, the storm shows no sign of easing, rain lashing the glass in steady, unbroken sheets that mirror the rhythm building between us.

She rides me harder now, her hips slamming down to meet every upward thrust of mine, and I reach between us to press my thumb against her clit, circling it in time with her movements.

Her walls begin to flutter around me almost immediately, her body climbing fast toward another release, and the sound of her voice breaking apart above me is enough to send my own control unraveling right alongside her.

She shatters first, her whole body going rigid before a shudder rolls through her, her release clenching tight around me, and the force of it drags my own climax free right behind hers.

I grip her hips hard enough to bruise and drive up into her one final time, burying myself as deep as I can go.

I still myself as empty my cum deep into her pussy with a groan that gets lost somewhere in the sound of the rain still falling outside.

She collapses against my chest, both of us spent, our breathing ragged in the lantern-lit dark.

I wrap my arms around her, holding her close as her heartbeat slowly finds its way back to something steady against mine.

Neither of us moves to separate, still joined together, still tangled in the aftermath of everything that just happened between us.

Her fingers trace idle circles against my shoulder, and I feel the last of the tension leave her body entirely, her weight settling heavier and more relaxed against me with every passing second.

The lanterns burn steady on the counter nearby, their glow doing little to hold back the dark pressing in from every corner of the empty lounge.

I press a kiss to her forehead, feeling her exhale slowly against my throat, and glance past her toward the windows, the storm still raging beyond the glass with no sign of stopping.

The power stays out. Neither of us reaches for anything beyond the warmth already wrapped around us, content to stay exactly where we are for as long as the dark allows.

Eventually we make it to the guest rooms for the rest of the night.

***

Morning comes in pale through the guest room windows. I wake to an empty space beside me and the sound of a drawer closing somewhere across the room.

Sophie is already dressed from the waist down, her hair pulled back loosely while she searches through the clothes and belongings scattered near the chair. Her phone is in one hand, and she keeps glancing at the screen as if she is waiting for it to change.

I push myself upright. “Good morning.”

She looks over quickly. “Morning.”

Something in her expression makes me sit up straighter.

“What’s wrong?”

“I got a call.”

“From who?”

Sophie shakes her head and reaches for her blouse.

“It doesn’t matter. I just have to get back to Los Angeles.”

I watch her pull the blouse on.

“Back home?”

“Yes.”

She is moving too fast now, gathering her things without looking at me for more than a second at a time.

I swing my legs over the side of the bed.

“Sophie.”

“I need to get to my room, get my luggage, and figure out a flight.”

I stand.

She reaches for her shoes.

“What happened?” I ask.

“I told you, I got a call.”

“That doesn’t answer the question.”

Her mouth tightens.

“Julian, I really don’t have time for this.”

The words hit harder than they should.

I take a step toward her.

“Is this about last night?”

She looks at me, irritation flashing through the distraction on her face.

“No.”

“Because if you’re panicking about what happened—”

“I’m not panicking about what happened.”

“Then talk to me.”

“I can’t right now.”

I study her.

She looks genuinely rattled, but I still cannot tell whether I am part of the reason.

“I meant what I said last night,” I tell her.

“I’m not going to pretend none of it happened.”

Sophie exhales and looks toward the door.

“I’m not asking you to.”

“Then stop acting like you need to get away from me.”

Her eyes come back to mine.

“I need to go home.”

There is something in the way she says it that stops me.

I lower my voice.

“Fine. Let me help.”

“I can handle it.”

“The jet can take you.”

“No.”

“Sophie.”

“I looked already. There are commercial options once the roads clear.”

“You don’t need to do that.”

“I know.”

I move closer.

“Then let me get you there.”

She picks up her shoes and heads toward the door.

I catch her before she reaches it, not touching her, just stepping into her path.

“Don’t do this.”

She stops.

“Do what?”

“Leave like this.”

Her face changes slightly.

I hold her gaze. “Not again.”

The words sit between us.

Sophie looks away first.

“I’m not disappearing.”

“That is exactly what this feels like.”

“I said I have to go.”

“And I’m asking you to tell me why.”

She closes her eyes briefly.

When she looks at me again, her voice is quieter.

“I can’t explain it right now.”

I stare at her.

“Can’t or won’t?”

“Julian.”

I hear the warning in my name.

She steps around me.

I let her.

At the door, she pauses.

“We’ll finish this later,” Sophie says.

I do not answer immediately.

She looks back at me.

“I mean it.”

Then she opens the door and leaves. The sudden quiet is tangible.

I stand there for several seconds, before turning back toward the mess we left behind.
