Chapter 59

Jacob had grabbed a few beers after he’d left Kameron’s.

He’d had a pair of six-packs in the back of his truck.

He’d had to have one. To calm himself down.

He’d just left his brother there. Kameron was going to die.

Then it would just be Jacob. His father would see Jacob for the man he really was, without Kameron clouding the picture.

The beer helped him figure out his next steps.

He just drove around, thinking about what he’d want now.

This would be a good thing for Jacob. It just would.

Kameron had so many houses, properties, assets. Kameron had told him and his dad that he’d left them both things in his will. His thirty-four-year-old brother had a will.

Because Kameron actually had money to leave people.

Well, Jacob would just use Kameron’s assets to build his own finances back up. Kameron would want him and his father taken care of. And it would be Jacob’s secret forever what he’d done.

Kameron’s death wouldn’t be in vain.

Maybe that would make it better for his dad or something.

But first, he had to make it look like Bruce Tyler had done it. Bruce wouldn’t have a lot of motive with Kameron, except what had happened years ago. Between Bruce and Jacob’s dad. His dad had told him some things, enough to know that Bruce could have come after Kameron for revenge.

He just had to make it look good.

It was the only way.
