Chapter Three
Seth waved goodbye to the now-former coworker who’d given him a lift and headed into the packhouse. Barking startled him, and, split second later, a ball of fur barreled into the foyer. Laughing, Seth crouched and got an armful of fur and tongue.
“Hey! Where on Earth did you come from?”
Laughter drifted out of the kitchen, and he looked up to see his mate leaning against the kitchen doorframe.
Seth somehow got out from under a very enthusiastic puppy and stood.
He walked over to Quinn and pinned the man against the door.
Quinn’s arms draped around his neck, and the moan that filled the kiss went straight to Seth’s dick.
“Hello to you, too,” Quinn said with a soft chuckle.
Seth nuzzled his mate’s neck, drawing in breath after breath of his omega’s sweet scent. He hated being away from Quinn and Ana, and the consulting venture would allow him to remedy that. He pressed closer and felt hardness against his own.
“Want to go check out the apartment?” Quinn asked him.
“Mmm… among other things.” Seth lifted his head for another kiss before making himself step back. Unlike their pack leader, he wasn’t big on having an audience. “Where’s Ana?”
“Wore herself out with Justin and the twins. They all crashed in the nursery. She refused to be separated from Justin, so we just let them be.”
“Good. Let’s go christen our new home.”
Quinn rolled his eyes and smiled. “How was work?” he asked as they headed out back.
“Good, if a bit bittersweet. Everything’s done, though. I’m free and clear to start the consulting gig.”
“As long as you don’t do anymore experiments, I’m happy.”
Seth chuckled. “I promise, babe.”
The new wing was accessible from inside the house, but there were private entrances outside as well.
The work had gone fairly quickly, and now there were several small apartments for the families who didn’t want to live in the big part of the house.
Seth opened the door and stepped inside.
His nose twitched at the lingering hint of fresh paint.
The place was cozy and, with their furniture all set out, already felt like home.
Or maybe that was the omega walking past him.
Seth caught Quinn’s arm and tugged him backward. He bent and nibbled on the claiming mark at the top of his mate’s shoulder. “They’ll let us know if she wakes up,” he murmured. Quinn nodded and rubbed that sweet ass against Seth’s crotch. Seth growled softly. “Get naked.”
Quinn flashed him a smile over one shoulder before grabbing Seth’s hand and leading him toward their bedroom. He let go as Seth shut the door and began stripping. “One request…”
Both of them naked, Seth crowded Quinn onto the bed, coming down to kneel between his omega’s open legs. “What’s that?”
Quinn caught his gaze. “No rubber.”
Seth blinked down at him. “Are you sure?”
“Absolutely. Ana is growing quickly, and I’d love to give her a sibling close to her age.”
Smirking, Seth slipped a hand between them and used Quinn’s slick to ease the way for two fingers.
Quinn’s eyes rolled, and he moaned. He rocked down onto Seth’s fingers, his own digging into Seth’s shoulders.
Seth pulled them out and pushed into his lover.
They both groaned as he sank balls deep and just stayed there for a moment.
He’d never, ever tire of this, of feeling this man holding him and surrounding him.
“Come on, babe,” Quinn murmured. “Fill me up and knot me.”
With a low growl, Seth gave his lover exactly what the man wanted. He caught Quinn’s hands in his and pinned them to the bed as he took his omega’s ass over and over, panting on Quinn’s lips. Quinn moaned and whimpered, and he locked his legs around Seth’s waist.
“Close,” he gasped when Seth thrust into him. “Babe…”
Seth captured his lover’s mouth with his own.
His cock swelled and pumped Quinn full of his release.
Heat spilled between them a moment later, Quinn’s chanting of his name loud in the bedroom.
The knot formed and sent more shivers through Quinn’s lithe body.
Seth bit down on the claiming mark and held his mate down as Quinn bucked up into him.
“Lo-love you,” Quinn said between breaths.
Seth rubbed his nose over the mark. “Love you, too, babe.”

They returned to the main house an hour later and walked into loud, laughter-filled chaos.
All the kids were in the new playroom, which looked like an entire toy store had simply…
exploded. Toys were everywhere, and Barkley rolled around in a pile of stuffed animals that bore suspicious chewed ears and tails.
Quinn had to dodge several forgotten riding toys to get to one of the beanbag chairs.
He dropped down onto it, and Ana crawled over to him.
He picked her up and nuzzled her while she giggled and tugged at his shirt.
As soon as she was nursing, he sighed and just kind of sank further into the chair.
Justin and the twins continued playing while Chaz and Daniel looked on from the couch.
Their son, Manuel, snuggled against Daniel’s chest as he nursed as well.
As soon as Cole, Elliot, Jax, and Paris walked in, the babies abandoned the toys in favor of their parents.
Seth joined them and sat on the floor by the beanbag chair.
Quinn managed to lean over for a kiss without dislodging Ana too much.
Chaz chuckled once everyone got settled down. “Never thought I’d see this.”
Cole nodded and kissed the top of Justin’s head before doing the same to Elliot. “Ditto, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
“Any word on Ethan and Taylor?” Quinn asked.
“They should be here in the next couple of days. They had to push back their moving date due to a case that cropped up at the last minute,” Jax said. “Ethan should’ve let it go, but he said he just couldn’t walk away from it.”
“Everything okay? I mean, he’s a cop, so I imagine the answer is probably no.”
Jax grimaced. “I don’t have details, obviously, but he told me what he could.
Apparently, there’s a rival pack that’s moved into the area up there, and they’re causing the Cross family a lot of problems. Considering Adrian Cross is one of Ethan’s closest friends and a coworker, I’m not surprised Ethan decided to stay a little longer. ”
“This new pack isn’t going to give us trouble, are they?” Quinn asked.
“No,” Cole replied. “According to Ethan, we Silverthornes have gained a bit of a reputation for dealing with rivals. We won’t have any issues from the Ironcrest assholes. I told Ethan to let us know if the Cross folks need help, though.”
“What about the others?” Quinn asked Cole. “Kit and Micah, Loren and Robin? I can’t imagine Dixon and Alex moving. The omega chat loop has been quiet lately.”
“Dixon said he’s actually considering it,” Chaz said. “He’s still going through the pros and cons, though. He and Alex like being so close to the clinic in case an emergency pops up.”
“Micah said they’ve decided not to move into the packhouse,” Elliot added. “Kit found a larger storefront for a new studio, and they’re planning on moving into the space above it.”
“As for Loren and Robin,” Jax said, “they decided pretty much the same. Loren thought it best if they stay above the club in case he’s needed, especially with Robin working there now.”
Quinn nodded. “I was kind of hoping we’d all live here, but I get it.”
“They aren’t far, though,” Paris said with a smile. “We’re actually planning a huge cookout next month.”
“Sounds good to us!” Quinn replied. He looked down at Seth. “Babe?”
Seth smiled up at him. “Sounds perfect to me.”
