Chapter 24 #2
Mason dropped Sam off and was sure that was the end of it, that he’d have to wait for Sarina to fill him in on the rest of the details later.
They texted back and forth while Mason made himself a salad and replaced the faucet in the downstairs bathroom.
Sarina was just as upset that Sky had snuck into Roseview without telling anyone.
He didn’t tell her about the unsettling exchange with her mother. That was between Adele and her conscience and Mason had promised Nana that he wouldn’t allow more harm to come from that particular situation. That seemed impossible, but Mason wasn’t going to be the one to drop that trauma bomb.
Mason didn’t mention the part about begging Sky to come over either.
That was unfair and uncalled for, and Mason felt like hell.
He had his phone in his hand and was typing an apology to Sky when the doorbell rang.
Mason went to answer it and his stomach flipped when he spotted Sky through the glass.
“What are you doing here?” he asked when he opened the door.
Sky wore a disgruntled scowl. Dressed in joggers and a hoodie, he’d obviously run over. Plumes of steam huffed from his lips and nose as he held onto the door jamb, panting.
“Mom nodded off after her sixth martini, so I told Nadine I was going for a run.”
“Did you go by the creek?” Mason glanced behind Sky. “It’s not a bad run. I do it when the weather’s nice and Sina needs to send Adele something.”
“Shut up, Mase.” Sky pushed Mason back and attacked his lips.
The door was kicked shut and there was a lot of swearing and grunting as they unbuttoned and unzipped things and stumbled sideways and into the living room. Neither wanted to break the kiss or stop undressing. They were both shaking and starving.
“Hold on!” Mason’s arm was tangled in his undershirt and flannel.
He tried to shake it free and pulled Sky with him when he crashed into the wall and then fell back onto the sofa.
They laughed as they scooted and helped each other out of their jeans and joggers.
“Hey…” Mason cupped Sky’s cheek and kissed him.
“I’ve missed you. So much. Not just this. ”
Sky covered Mason’s mouth, pinning him with a threatening look. “I’ll leave if you start talking,” he said and gripped Mason’s hard-on. “I’m just here for this.”
“Okay.” Mason nodded quickly and licked his lips. “It’s yours. Only yours. I haven’t been with anyone else since we stopped using cond—”
“Shut up!” Sky’s voice cracked. His hand clamped over Mason’s mouth, shaking as their eyes locked. “I brought these,” he said as he pulled a box of condoms and a packet of lube out of his hoodie and shoved them at Mason. “I didn’t know if you’d have any.”
Mason shook his head. “I don’t, but I still trust you.”
“Why? You don’t know where I’ve been,” Sky shot back, lowering onto the floor between Mason’s legs.
“Where have you been?” Mason asked in concern and Sky grinned up at him.
“Mostly working but I could have been partying and using men to dull the pain.”
“You hate parties.”
“I also hate pain and still being fucked-up over you,” Sky replied with a shrug, turning his attention to Mason’s hard-on.
He wedged his shoulders between Mason’s thighs and nuzzled his sac, inhaling and groaning in delight.
“God, I’ve missed this! I hooked up with a guy after Rob and we used a condom but he…
wasn’t nice. I don’t think he liked me.”
Mason caught Sky’s cheek and forced him to look up and waited for their eyes to connect. “Did he hurt you?”
“No.” Sky shook his head, laughing. “He just took what he wanted and left, he didn’t even ask if I had finished.”
“Fuck,” Mason mouthed.
How could anyone—especially a queer man—look at Sky and not want to know everything about him and to keep him?
Even if the tattoos, dark clothes, and painted fingernails weren’t your thing, his wounded beauty was undeniable.
Who could hear Sky’s voice and glimpse his sharp wit and be anything but charmed?
How could anyone stand in his presence and resist his magic?
“He was an idiot. I would have worshipped you.”
“I’m the idiot. I thought I could sneak into Roseview for one night without getting caught, but you were practically the first person I ran into. I can’t step foot in this town without having sex with you."
Mason nodded. “It’s in the bylaws, I’m afraid. As mayor, I’m required to eat your ass and let you ride me like a tricycle if you enter Roseview.”
“Explains why no one runs against you and you’re so popular.”
Mason shook his head. “Only applies to you. You’re our most famous resident, so I have to make sure you’re happy.”
“I’d be a lot happier if we talked less,” Sky answered, then shut him up by opening wide and swallowing half of Mason’s cock.
He was greedy and loud, gagging himself and moaning as he pumped Mason’s shaft.
There was a brief pause so Sky could rip the lube packet open with his teeth and coat his fingers before he resumed sucking and slurping with greedy abandon.
Sky’s moans grew higher and hoarser as he fingered himself, but Mason was shaking.
He was so damn close and this was too much!
Sky was on his knees, fingering himself and sucking Mason’s cock like their lives depended upon it.
This was just like Mason’s dirtiest dreams but it was real.
“Sky! Please!” Mason reached for him with trembling hands. “I won’t last long this time. You’re killing me.” He’d been too depressed lately to fool around whenever he was alone. Getting off made him miss Sky more and want to talk to him and be near him.
“Neither will I,” Sky shook his head as he opened the condom’s wrapper and quickly sheathed Mason’s throbbing cock. He stood and dropped one knee onto the sofa, next to Mason’s right thigh and swung the other over his left, straddling him.
“Hold on!” Mason pulled Sky against his chest and stole a kiss.
“I need a moment. We’re going too fast,” he said, then looked over Sky’s shoulder when he heard a key turning in the lock before the front door swung open.
“Who—?” Mason started to lift Sky off of him, but froze when Adele marched into the foyer and spotted them.
“Ha! I knew it!” She held up her phone and there was a loud click and a flash.
Sky shot off of Mason’s lap like he had been launched and spun around so he was facing her. “Mom? What. The. Fuck?”
