Chapter 30

Chapter Thirty

It took us a few years, but we did it, Nana.

Mason could practically see her, seated by the fireplace and raising her teacup and congratulating them.

She had to be as proud of her grandchildren as Mason was.

Hopefully, she was proud of him as well.

He’d done his best to honor her memory and her last wishes and he silently pledged to care for Sky just as well as he had cared for Sarina.

He believed he had her blessing as he watched Sky sleep.

It was still hard to believe that he was back and planning to stay.

After their rocky history and all that Sky had been through, Mason would do whatever it took to make Roseview feel like home again for him.

Mason had to. Sarina had taken a huge risk and set them both free, and Sky was willing to make some huge personal sacrifices.

This time, Mason wasn’t letting them down. He had also made promises to his parents. He didn’t want to waste another moment after nearly losing his dad and finally getting another chance with Sky.

No more playing it safe or half measures.

With that decision made, it was time to wake Sky up.

With his mouth.

Sky wasn’t a nighttime brawler like Sarina, but he slept in wild positions.

He was currently face-down with one of his knees pulled up to his chest and an arm flung over his head.

It didn’t look very comfortable, but Sky’s asscheeks were conveniently parted.

Mason eased the duvet back and scooted down the bed.

His cock throbbed as he traced an asscheek and the delicate flesh around Sky’s hole, earning a muffled, half-conscious moan.

Tongue extended, Mason leaned in and licked ever so softly and sucked gently. His touch was as light as a feather as his fingers swept up and down Sky’s thigh, softly coaxing him awake as Mason flicked and twirled his tongue.

“Mmmm…” Sky’s fingers pushed into Mason’s hair and twisted. “More.”

“I love you.”

Mason sucked harder and replaced his tongue with his finger, spitting and getting Sky’s hole hotter and slicker.

He added a second finger and Sky’s moans had a frantic edge to them that was making Mason weak.

His cock ached and his body burned with need, but it was more than the need to be inside Sky, it was the need to always be this way with him.

They decided that it would be best for Sky to start with his own place at the Sutton House and probably move in with Mason and Sam later.

Both wanted to give Sam time to adjust, so much was already changing in his world with Sarina marrying Lexie and moving to the hardware store.

They also agreed that it would be good to give themselves time to adjust to being in a relationship, and for Mason to slowly come out.

Now, Mason didn’t want to come out slowly. He wanted to wake up every morning just like this, and he didn’t really care who knew about it.

“Fuck me!” Sky passed the lube back to Mason and got onto his knees.

Neither of them had any condoms because they were too hung-up on each other to have sex with other people. But both had been tested recently so it was decided they didn’t need them anymore. Mason barely had lube and would rectify that when they left the house later.

He stood on his knees behind Sky and coated his cock. Mason guided the head to Sky’s hole and was just about to press forward, but paused. “Do you want to get breakfast after this?”

Sky looked back, over his shoulder, his brow furrowed. “We…usually have breakfast after we have sex in the morning.”

“Not here, at Joe’s. I was thinking we could have a test date and see how it goes. I love everyone at Joe’s and I’m sure they’d be cool about us.”

“This morning…? After we’ve…?”

Mason gave Sky a nudge when he stalled out. “We don’t have to, if you don’t want to. I’m ready whenever you are, though. Sina gave us cover, but I’d rather stand beside her and tell the world how much I love you and how proud I am of you.”

“Right,” Sky eventually smiled and nodded. “We can’t leave Sina hanging. A soft launch at the diner doesn’t sound scary.”

“It sounds kind of perfect,” Mason said, rubbing Sky’s ass tenderly as he wondered if it was too soon to kiss him while they were eating breakfast.

“Do you know what else would be perfect?” Sky asked.

“Hmm?”

“If you would fuck me. Talking about the diner and breakfast is making me hungry. I won’t care about sex if we keep this up.”

“My apologies,” Mason said as he slid a finger into Sky’s clinging heat and stroked in and out. “Still thinking about the diner?”

Sky shook his head. “I’m thinking about pancakes, dry, with bacon.” He laughed, but it turned into a wavering gasp as Mason held him open and slipped past the tight ring of his ass. Mason slid all the way home and ground hard, lifting Sky’s knees off the bed. “Holy fuck, Mase!”

“What are you thinking about now?”

Sky’s hands twisted in the duvet. “How hard you’re about to come inside of me,” he huffed and clenched tight around Mason’s shaft.

Heat raged in Mason’s core, cindering his control. He pinned Sky to the bed and rocked his hips, steadily picking up pace. “Is that what you want? Want me to fill this tight, hot ass with cum?”

“Yes!” Sky’s cheek dragged on the pillow as he rode Mason’s thrusts.

“Harder, Mase. Don’t stop!” he begged, breathless and blushing as he clawed at the bedding.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck!” he chanted in time with Mason’s hips.

They pumped faster and deeper, making Sky slicker and hotter with every slide of Mason’s cock.

“Christ, I’m so deep!”

This was so much deeper and better than anything Mason had ever felt before, even with Sky.

Whatever was inside of him was colliding with whatever was inside of Sky and they were about to combust. He didn’t know if they were burning up or bonding, but he didn’t care.

The pleasure coiling in his core and humming in his veins was too compelling for him to quit.

Mason basked in the glorious heat and pulsing pleasure, lost on the hypnotic clap of his hips against Sky’s ass.

“Mase!” Sky screamed as he jerked and shuddered beneath Mason. “Fuck, I’m coming again!”

Mason went with him this time, locking Sky’s ass against his pelvis as he came. They fell onto the bed, Sky trapped beneath Mason. “Are you alright?” Mason groaned as he eased out and off of Sky.

“I am so good!” He sprang from the bed a few moments later. “Let’s go! I’m hungry!”

They showered together but it wasn’t as fun as Mason would have hoped.

Sky bathed himself with swift efficiency, then grabbed the soap and the wash cloth and helped Mason so he could finish faster.

Dressing was done with similar urgency, and Sky dragged Mason out of the house and to the truck by his wrist.

“Do they still have orange juice at Joe’s?” he asked.

Mason laughed as he started the truck and backed out of the driveway. “As far as I know… Joe added some of those impossible meat products,” he said but Sky looked at him like they had added cats.

“I don’t want any of that. Just juice, pancakes, and bacon. No syrup. Unless Joe added tater tots. I like those now.”

“I think he did, actually.”

“Then, I’ll have tater tots, too.”

“I usually get the egg white veggie omelet,” Mason murmured, concerned that Sky had focused on the food part of the plan, not the date part. “Would it be okay if I held your hand and maybe…kissed you at some point?”

Sky’s eyes widened and his blush returned. He nodded slowly. “It would be okay. Are you sure you want to make that kind of statement? I thought we were going to be more casual and let people get used to seeing us together, first.”

“I thought so too, but you and Sina are taking big risks. I can’t ask you to move back home and play the eccentric recluse while I tiptoe out of the closet. Plus, I’m tired of worrying about what would happen if it got out. I want to get on with my life, with you.”

“This is a huge deal, Mase,” Sky warned and Mason laughed as he nodded.

“It is! My dad survived a stroke and the only man I’ve ever loved is coming back and giving me another chance. I kind of have to step up. I want to!”

“Great...” Sky said and nodded. “If you’re sure.”

Mason parked a few spots down from the diner’s entrance and turned to Sky. “Are you having second thoughts? It’s okay if you are. I don’t want to push you too fast and overwhelm you.”

“I’m overwhelmed, but in a good way,” Sky said slowly, biting his lip as he considered.

“I didn’t think this would happen or that you would be so happy about it.

We’ve been a shared nightmare for so long, it’s hard to get my head around what’s happening.

But I do know that I love you, and I don’t want to hide either. ”

“Good. Let’s go.” Mason kissed Sky’s hand before getting out and hurrying around to open his door. He closed it after Sky and held out his hand. Sky stared at it for a heartbeat, then grabbed it and pulled Mason towards the diner.

“There. We’re holding hands.” He marched onward, determined as they passed patrons exiting the diner.

A few people nodded and waved, seeming not to notice.

It occurred to Mason that many of Roseview’s residents were used to seeing them together and even holding hands from time to time to keep Sky from wandering.

“Wait!” Mason halted and reeled Sky in. “Can I kiss you now?” he asked, aware that they were standing in front of the diner’s window and that a few people were already watching curiously.

“If you want,” Sky answered in a soft mumble, tipping back his chin and leaning in.

“I do. I love you so much, Sky, and I don’t care who knows anymore.”

They kissed, touching each other’s faces and smiling as their lips clung. “I love you too, Mase. Can we go in now?”

Mason laughed and stole another kiss before getting the door for Sky. “Two, please,” he said when he was greeted by Juliet, Joe’s granddaughter. She smiled brightly at them as she grabbed two menus from the stack.
