7. Wallace

Wallace

Wallace strolled out of the orchestra hall feeling like he was floating.

Volt had loved the performance. He could see it in the way Volt’s fingers had moved on his knee, like he wanted to get up and dance.

He could hear it in the little gasps that Volt made after a gorgeous passage, or the way he went still in that hushed moment after the last tumbling notes in a piece drifted out into silence.

Wallace had been the one rambling about the performer before the concert, but now Volt was the one who couldn’t stop talking.

Volt wanted to go back.

He wanted more dates, just like this.

With Wallace.

So, yeah, Wallace was sure as fuck ordering season tickets. Well, not season tickets, but he was going to buy out every Monday and Tuesday evening performance and every weekend matinee.

And then do the same for the ballet. And the opera.

And then check out what musicals were playing in the theaters across the city.

Anything to make Volt’s eyes shine like that. To make him whisper, “Thank you, baby boy,” like he’d done at intermission. And again in little moments throughout the show. And now, as they walked across the plaza.

Wallace felt like he could float away.

His father had ridiculed him for years for his love of music. Shut down his tiny role in the middle school musical. Made him change his gym elective from ballroom dancing to swimming in high school, which was as close as Wallace was willing to get to a sport.

And now, Wallace’s boyfriend, with all of his muscles and that commanding Daddy vibe, was fucking gushing over an orchestra concert.

Wallace could see their whole life spelled out right now. Yeah, their night had gotten off to a rocky start—he’d been genuinely scared that Volt hated their date, that he didn’t want Wallace himself—but it had turned out to be something as stupid as the dress code.

And both of their fears.

It still blew Wallace’s mind that Volt could ever doubt himself.

He was the whole fucking package. Sexy. Confident.

And he’d looked fine as hell in a tux, his muscular shoulders practically straining the seams. If anything, he was even tastier now, casual and rough with his collar open, like a model walking off a set.

If Wallace was being perfectly honest, though, he kind of liked that his Daddy had moments of insecurity, too.

Not that he wanted his Daddy to ever worry about anything ever, but Wallace had always felt like he was the only one stumbling around figuring things out and fucking things up. It was kind of nice that Daddy wasn’t perfect either.

That he might need Wallace to support him a little fraction of a percent as much as Wallace needed him.

They wandered back to Wallace’s car—he’d wisely had it meet them on a side street a block away to avoid the crush of the post-concert crowd—and Wallace stood awkwardly by the door.

Was this goodnight? He really hoped it wasn’t.

“So, uh…” Wallace looked up at Volt. At his Daddy. “I was wondering, if it wouldn’t be an imposition, I, uh… I mean, I have a change of clothes.” Then he blurted out, in case there was some confusion, “For work tomorrow, I mean.”

Daddy’s face split into a grin. “Does that mean you’re coming home with me?”

“If that works for you.” Wallace gave a little shrug. He still couldn’t believe that Volt was so into him.

But the moment they settled into the car and the windows darkened, Daddy’s mouth was on his.

Wallace could only kiss back, helpless and needy. He clung to Volt’s shirt, lost in the hurricane of those lips on his, demanding his submission as the car sped through the night.

Then, he got greedy. All of those muscles were his to explore!

He knew Volt’s torso had been constructed for its aesthetics, that all of his strength came from gears and pistons inside and those delicious abs and luscious nipples were designed by engineers…

but he was a horny boy, and he really, really liked that show.

Especially when he pinched one of Daddy’s nipples through his starched shirt and got a moan in return.

He was really doing it! He was making Daddy moan.

He traced around the nipple, then flicked his fingers across it, swallowing Daddy’s little gasps where their lips met.

Daddy pushed into his hand, so he brought his other one up to toy with the other thick bud. Daddy groaned when he pinched both sides at once, and he felt like he could come from those sounds alone.

Fuck. He’d wasted so much time trying to date women, determined to do right by them in bed. But it had always felt like a chore, a checklist of techniques and steps that he could never quite get right.

Touching Volt was like a feast, and he had an insatiable appetite. He didn’t need to think, just fill his hands with that heated skin, exploring each nuance of what would bring his Daddy pleasure.

He paused only to find the buttons on Daddy’s shirt, fingers clumsy as Daddy kissed down his neck while plucking loose his tie and undoing his top three buttons in the time it took Wallace to open only one.

Wallace had just managed the second button when Volt pulled his hands away and pinned them over his head.

He made an inarticulate sound of protest at being diverted from his prize, but it turned into a needy moan as Daddy kissed down his chest and fastened his lips to Wallace’s own nipple.

“Wanna touch you too, Daddy,” he whined. God, it was hard to even think. He loved being pinned and helpless. Loved being at Daddy’s mercy.

But he was desperate to touch his boyfriend, too.

“Mmmm… But Daddy needs his creampuff so much right now…” Volt answered him, nipping and licking his way across to the other nipple.

Some little part of him was disappointed. When was he going to get to touch in return?

But that was quickly swept away as Daddy bit his nipple, making his back arch as pain morphed into bliss. All he wanted was more. More of Daddy’s body under his hands. More of Daddy’s mouth on his skin.

“Keep your hands there, pretty boy,” Volt ordered.

“Yes, Daddy,” he answered, fire racing down his spine. He craved those commands. And the way that Daddy kept telling him he was pretty.

Maybe it didn’t matter what order it all came in, as long as they were together. He would have time to touch his Daddy later. They were dating now. He had all the time in the world.

He was panting and moaning, falling apart again under his Daddy’s touch.

Until Daddy froze up, completely halting mid-kiss.

“Daddy?” he asked, hesitantly.

But by the time the word was even out of his lips, Daddy was back to stroking his belly, kissing across his shoulder.

“What happened?” Wallace asked.

“Nothing, sweet boy. Nothing to worry about.”

Wallace didn’t believe it. He wasn’t quite sure what the difference was, but even as Volt was touching him, it didn’t feel quite right. Was it a glitch? An error in Volt’s code? He didn’t seem sick, but Wallace just didn’t know enough about sparks to understand. “Are you alright?” he asked again.

Volt pulled back, taking Wallace’s hands in his. “I am, creampuff. I promise. Angel just texted me about something, but it’s not a big deal, and we’re almost back home. I might need to handle things for a few minutes when we get there.”

“Things like…”

“Oh, just a health inspection.”

Wallace raised an eyebrow. He wasn’t an expert, but he was pretty sure that health inspections were one of those things that happened when you opened a business, and then every few years on a schedule during normal business hours. They didn’t happen as a surprise late on a Friday night.

And Volt didn’t look like he thought things were fine. He seemed tense. Worried.

Volt shrugged. “I’m sure it’s nothing. Someone probably reported a health violation, but every time they come out, there’s nothing to see and we pass with flying colors.

We’re much more sanitary, in fact, than any human-run business, and we only serve drinks and pre-packaged snacks.

The inspector should be in and out in a few minutes. ”

“But you shouldn’t have to deal with false accusations,” Wallace commented, a little worried himself, now. Volt had mentioned that there were people who didn’t like what their business offered, but he hadn’t realized that they would stoop to petty harassment.

Volt gave a little shrug that said what can you do? So apparently that wasn’t so uncommon.

Wallace glanced at the dashboard map. They were, fortunately, less than two blocks away.

“How about you go in and handle things,” Wallace suggested, “and I’ll wait in the car. Angel needs to be at the door, right?”

Volt’s look of relief said everything. “Are you sure you don’t mind?”

“Absolutely. I don’t want to make anything more complex than it needs to be.” He figured that another human eating in the kitchen and sleeping in a bed intended for clients might set off some alarm bells, and it wasn’t like he could help.

“Thank you, creampuff. I really, really appreciate it.”

Wallace shrugged. It didn’t seem like that big a deal. “Of course, Daddy.”

The car slid into park, and he gave Volt a parting kiss, then pulled out his tablet to read.

It pissed him off that Volt had to deal with the health inspector, that anyone would call Prism less than absolutely clean and perfect, but hanging out in the car for a few minutes to make his boyfriend’s life better was no big deal at all.

And maybe he could do a little research on oral techniques while he waited. He wanted to blow his Daddy’s mind.
