20. Wallace
Wallace
Wallace blinked his eyes open, then let them fall closed. He didn’t need to see to know exactly where he was.
The sounds of distant traffic were sweeter here than they could ever be in his lonely, sterile apartment. The blankets were warmer. The sun more cheerful.
He did open his eyes, though, when he recognized the soft swish of feet against the floor. That hushed beat was the sound of his lullabies, but seeing Volt dance was something he could never get enough of.
And watching his boyfriend—his Daddy, his Dom, his love—so uninhibited and joyful was a true work of art.
He’d discovered that if he sat up too quickly, Daddy would stop and rush over to him, but if he lay on the pillow, his eyes slitted open, Daddy would keep dancing and even perform for him.
Whatever music Volt was playing in his head, it looked slow and sensuous. Not necessarily sexual, though it was hard to see those magnificent golden muscles as anything else, but more a delight in movement. A rapture of the senses.
Wallace watched, transfixed, as Volt eventually met his eyes, then let the music fade in around them.
It was rich and low, oboe and cello, and heartbreakingly sweet.
Wallace had said it last night, but he was overwhelmingly, impossibly, in love.
He hardly breathed as Daddy’s limbs led his torso in an arc across the floor, each muscle articulated, until his elegant pointed toes reached up to the heavens and then pulled him back down like a waterfall.
He slithered and arched, turning to offer the glorious ripple of his back with one leg behind him, and then tucked into himself, arms wrapped around one knee and head bent, as the last sublime chord floated off into the distance.
They both exhaled, letting the silence ring, and then Volt looked up.
“Hey, love.”
Joy bubbled up in Wallace’s chest.
Last night hadn’t been a dream after all. “Hey, Daddy.”
Did Daddy know what it meant? That he was saying, I love you, too?
Daddy’s smile could have put the sun to shame. “I’m the luckiest spark in the world.”
It sounded like he did.
Wallace bounded out of bed, and Volt met him halfway, lifting him in his arms.
Wallace grinned, twining his arms and legs around his Daddy. He hardly even squeaked anymore, because this was just what Daddy did.
He still adored being carried around. With his weight, it wasn’t very often that he got to feel as light as a feather.
Except that now he did, all the time.
With Volt.
Who loved him.
Volt pressed their lips together, gentle and unbearably sweet.
“Love you, Daddy,” Wallace whispered. He didn’t think he’d ever get enough of saying those words.
“I love you, too, pretty boy,” Volt said, mixing the words and the genders in a new way that made Wallace thrilled down to his toes. “You like that?” Daddy asked, giving his ass a squeeze. A moment later, Daddy’s hard, insistent cock was nestled against his very naked ass.
“Yeah, uh, a lot. But, um, no more sex right now?” he requested. Not that they’d actually had sex sex, with, like, penetration. And maybe if Daddy finally wanted to…
Daddy chuckled. “Sorry, baby, did I wear you out?”
Wallace grinned. Yeah, he was dying to be fucked, but his, uh, cocklet definitely needed a break.
Daddy had made him come three times in the car, knocking him so deep into subspace that he’d apparently just floated in the warm safety of Daddy’s arms for the entire twenty-minute ride home.
When he’d returned to himself, Daddy had hand-fed him a platter of tasty treats, intermingling delicious bites with even more succulent kisses.
That had led to giving Daddy an amazing blowjob, and then Daddy washing Wallace off in the shower and making him come again with Daddy’s two thick fingers in his ass.
When Wallace had turned to Daddy, half asleep in the dark, sweet cuddles had turned into another round of lazy kisses and hand jobs, just as dawn was breaking.
Wallace had taken one look at the glowing pink lining the dawning clouds and dictated a sick day email before collapsing back into bed.
It had to be somewhere near noon now, but he wasn’t in any hurry.
He also definitely couldn’t manage another round of sex. His dick was literally sore, which he hadn’t realized could happen.
“Yeah, Daddy. I need at least, like, a twenty-four-hour break. Just snuggles today.”
“Mmm, that can be arranged.” Daddy nibbled lightly at his neck. “You should see yourself, though.” Daddy strode over to the mirror across the room, carrying Wallace like he didn’t weigh a thing.
Wallace’s eyes widened when he stood and took himself in. His neck was a mess of bruises. So were his collarbones. And his hips. Hickies lay atop purple rings from Daddy’s teeth, decorating his shoulders and even his belly.
“Oops?” Daddy chuckled.
“I love them,” Wallace swore, running a finger along his neck and pressing into the tenderness. “You can be as rough as you want, Daddy.”
Volt beamed back at him in the mirror, devouring the dark rings with his eyes.
This was the perfect contrast. His rough, dominant Daddy in a scene, and this adoring, doting Daddy the rest of the time.
Daddy went still for a second, and Wallace hummed his amusement.
“Hi, Angel,” he snarked.
Daddy shook his head. “How did you know I was talking to him? That was 32 milliseconds! Humans aren’t even supposed to be able to measure that amount of time.”
Wallace shrugged, grinning. “I mean, I didn’t know you were talking to Angel. You could have been looking up how many calories a three-toed sloth consumes in a day or updating your address book. But I figured you were talking to your big brother because that’s usually what you’re doing.”
Volt gave him a little pinch on his ass. “No, you dork. I mean, how did you know I was doing anything at all?”
Wallace tried to figure it out. “I dunno. I can just tell. Your eyes look different. Your body gets a little… stiffer, I guess? Or maybe that’s not the right word.
Sometimes you’ll keep rubbing my back in the same pattern or something, so it’s more that there’s a different resistance to your muscles.
Or your mechanical engine trains, I guess.
You don’t respond normally to my movements, maybe? ”
Volt shook his head. “You know, Magnolia can always tell, too, but she’s had over fifty years of experience with Angel. You’re kind of a marvel.”
He was? Oh, that was pretty cool.
“Though Angel’s much better at multitasking than I am,” Volt added.
“I can tell when both of you are doing it,” Wallace corrected smugly, though he would admit that Angel was better at hiding it.
“And I think it’s kind of cute. You both gaze off into space, even if you’re still doing something repetitive.
And sometimes you make faces based on what the other one says. ”
Volt chuckled. “Angel used to talk to me all the time while I was with clients. I don’t think a single one of them ever noticed.”
Wallace laughed again. “Maybe I just pay more attention? If we’re walking down the street, I know right away because you get a little micro-hitch in your step.
I think it happens when your processors get overloaded.
And if I can say this without being weird, it was you kissing me without paying attention that night when you asked me out that upset me so much.
You’ve done it a few times since then, but I don’t mind it now. ”
“Sorry,” Volt told him, looking abashed. “I feel like that makes it worse. I shouldn’t do that while we’re being intimate. You’re more important. I guess it’s kind of creepy, kissing you when I’m not even paying attention.”
Wallace shrugged. “I thought about it, but if it’s short, I truly don’t mind.
I know that sometimes I’ve kissed you and thought ‘yeah, I need to reply to that email, mental note for later,’ but when you have those thoughts you can actually reply to the email in real time.
It’s part of who you are. And, uh, you’ve made me almost come while I was on the phone, so I think it’s only fair.
I know that you’re an android, Daddy. I don’t want you to apologize for your programming. ”
“Ah, creampuff. I don’t deserve you.” Volt nuzzled into his neck.
Wallace couldn’t understand it. He was the one who felt like he didn’t deserve his Daddy. Though it was kind of cool that he seemed to have this superpower with sparks.
“So, what did Angel say after all that?”
“Oh! He was letting me know that Magnolia’s looking for company if we want to go see her.”
“Yes, absolutely!” She seemed to only stay awake for an hour or two at a time, spread unpredictably throughout the day and night, and sometimes she needed to use that energy just to let the assigned sexbot—now nursemaid—help her through brushing her teeth or using the toilet. “Let’s get dressed.”
Wallace now had a few changes of clothing stored in Volt’s closet, not only the boring work clothes out of necessity, but a few casual things and a growing supply of negligees that Daddy kept buying for him.
He wondered what it would be like to add something more feminine that he could wear outside the bedroom.
Hell, if he were going to do it anywhere, it would probably be with Magnolia.
But for today, he chose a pair of loose sweatpants and let Daddy dress him in a too-tight t-shirt that said Daddy’s good boy.
It still made him blush, but around the upstairs apartments at Prism, he would wear it with pride.
There was another shirt in pink that said Daddy’s good girl, but he wasn’t quite there yet. Only Daddy got to see him in that one.
Baby steps.
Magnolia was sitting in a reclining chair when they entered her suite, a blanket draped over her legs, and her eyes alert and lively.
“Ooohhh…” she cooed. “Looks like your Daddy showed you a good time last night.”
Wallace’s face went lobster red. He’d forgotten about all the bite marks. And hickies. And bite marks on top of hickies. His hands flew to his neck.
Volt squeezed him against his side. “I’d say that my creampuff showed me a good time last night.”
