Epilogue #3

I hold her thighs open and eat her until she is shaking, wet, and pulling at my hair, trying to get away and closer at the same time. She comes on my tongue, loud and messy, and I keep going until she says my name in a voice that sounds almost angry.

Only then do I move back over her.

She grabs my face. “Inside me. Now.”

I push into her slowly this time, watching her take every inch. Her eyes stay on mine. It’s different after everything.

Hot, yes. Filthy, yes. But also too honest to hide from.

She loves me. She said it in a warehouse yard with blood on both of us.

I love her. I said it back because there was no point pretending I could survive without saying it.

Now she’s in my bed, in my house, alive under my hands, and I’m done punishing both of us for the fact that I was scared.

I lower my body over hers and fuck her deep, slower than before, hard enough to make her breath catch but controlled enough to feel everything. Her legs wrap around me. Her hands move over my back. Her mouth stays close to mine, kissing me between moans, breathing my name into my mouth.

“I love you,” she says.

I stop moving for one second.

She touches my face. “Don’t freeze. Keep going.”

I laugh despite myself. Then I kiss her and thrust harder. “I love you,” I say against her mouth.

Her eyes shine, but she smiles. “Good. Now fuck me.”

So I do.

I fuck her until the headboard hits the wall, until her voice breaks, until sweat runs down my spine and her thighs tremble around my hips.

I fuck her until she comes again with her nails in my back and my name in her mouth, and then I finally let myself go, driving into her hard, burying my face in her neck as I come inside her.

For a while, we stay like that.

My weight is on my forearms so I don’t crush her, but she keeps pulling me down like she wants all of me there anyway.

Her fingers slide through my hair. “You’re heavy,” she says.

I start to move.

She tightens her arms. “I didn’t say move.”

I settle back carefully. She sighs under me, satisfied.

The house is silent. No staff. No security inside. No footsteps in the hall. No Meredith outside my office door.

Just Nina breathing beneath me.

After a minute, she says, “Your mother is terrifying.”

“Yes.”

“She planned this entire thing.”

“Yes.”

“She told me you were brooding too much and needed to be handled.”

I lift my head. “She said that?”

Nina nods. “More or less.”

“I’m going to fire every man who left this house with her.”

“You are not.”

“I might.”

“She also said you would threaten that.”

I stare at her. Nina smiles. I lower my head and kiss the smile off her mouth. She makes a tired sound, but her hand slides down my back anyway.

“You need rest,” I say.

“You need to stop talking like Mirov.”

“I will never forgive you for that comparison.”

She laughs softly. Then she looks at me, and the humor fades just enough. “You know I don’t blame you.”

I don’t answer.

Her hand touches my jaw. “For Meredith.”

“Nina.”

“No. Listen. I don’t blame you.”

“I blame me.”

“I know,” she says. “But I’m alive. Misha is alive. Alina’s safe. Meredith ran, but she didn’t win.”

I look at her for a long moment. “She’s still out there.”

“Then we’ll deal with her.”

“We?”

“Yes,” she says. “We.”

The word settles somewhere in my chest.

I kiss her again, slower this time. When I pull back, I say, “You are not going anywhere without security again.”

She rolls her eyes. “There he is.”

“I mean it.”

“I know.”

“You will argue.”

“Obviously.”

“You will lose.”

She smiles. “We’ll see.”

I should continue the argument. Instead, I slide my hand down her body.

Her smile changes. “You cannot possibly be ready again.”

I raise a brow.

She looks down, then back at me. “Oh.”

I roll onto my back and pull her over me.

She straddles my hips, still naked, hair falling around her face, breasts full and flushed from my mouth. My cock stirs beneath her, and she looks down at it with open interest.

“You’re ridiculous,” she says.

“You started this.”

“With help.”

“Yes,” I say. “I will speak to my mother about boundaries.”

Nina lifts herself and reaches between us.

I grip her hips. “Careful.”

She sinks down on me slowly, taking me inch by inch until we both stop breathing properly.

Then she looks at me with that stubborn little smile. “No.”

She starts moving.

And because the house is quiet, because she is alive, because she loves me, because my mother has apparently turned my own security operation against me for the sake of my sex life, I lie back, hold Nina’s hips, and let her ride me until both of us forget everything except the room, the bed, and the woman I should have known from the beginning I was never going to let go.

The End.
