Chapter 26 #2
I bit her shoulder, then lower, marking her back with my teeth while my free hand gripped her hip, yanking her back onto my cock. The pain from her headbutt throbbed in sync with my thrusts, mixing with the tight, velvet heat of her cunt until everything blurred into raw sensation.
She turned her head to the side, glaring at me through tear-clumped lashes, cheeks burning red. "You're an asshole..."
But her words dissolved into a keening whimper as I angled deeper, grinding against her g-spot relentlessly.
Her body betrayed her again—back arching, pussy spasming wildly around me, fresh waves of arousal flooding my shaft.
She was close already, fighting it with everything she had, but her legs spread wider, knees digging into the mattress for leverage as she pushed back against my pounding.
I laughed darkly again, nipping at her ear. "Hate me all you want, Malyshka. Come on my cock anyway. Show me how much you love being mine."
My hand moved faster on her clit, pinching and rubbing with just the right pressure.
She shattered with a choked cry, her whole body convulsing beneath me, inner muscles clamping down so hard I saw white.
Tears streamed down her face as she came, soaking me, her resistance crumbling into helpless, shuddering moans.
But even in orgasm, she muttered curses, twisting like she wanted to fight free—yet her cunt kept fluttering, drawing me impossibly deeper.
I didn't slow. Couldn't. The pressure built at the base of my spine, balls tightening as I chased my own release. I fucked her through her climax, then kept going, chasing another from her overstimulated body. "Again," I demanded, voice hoarse. "Come for me again while I fill you up."
She was gasping, sobbing with overwhelmed pleasure, her anger still sparking in weak pushes against the headboard and muttered "No... too much..." But her hips rolled back greedily, meeting every thrust. I bit her neck harder, sucking a deep mark, my rhythm turning erratic and savage.
With a guttural groan, I buried myself as deep as possible and came hard, pulsing thick ropes of cum inside her clenching pussy. She cried out again, another smaller orgasm ripping through her at the feeling of being filled, her walls milking every drop like she craved it.
The room fell into deathly silence, only my ragged breathing and the patter of rain outside.
I pulled myself out of that half-mad state, reality flooding back like a cold tide.
I leaned against the headboard, turned my head, and looked beside me.
Hailey was curled on the other side of the bed like a wounded animal on the edge of death. Her back was to me, arms wrapped tight around her shoulders, face buried in her knees. She wasn't crying aloud, just trembling violently, uncontrollably.
My gaze fell on her.
On that wheat-colored skin, now covered in shocking red marks, bite marks, even purple-blue bruises where I'd gripped too hard. Her wrists bore an angry red ring from the tie.
My brain went blank.
What had I done?
God, what the hell had I done to her?
I looked down at my hands. These hands had torn her clothes, ignored her begging, used the cruelest method to hurt the only woman I'd ever loved.
I really had become a monster through and through.
Massive pain and self-loathing swallowed me like a tsunami. My throat tightened, even my breathing tasted like blood. I'd destroyed her. I'd used the violence I hated most to shred the last bit of trust she had in me.
"Hailey..." My voice shook, hoarse almost beyond sound.
I reached out, fingers trembling uncontrollably, trying to touch her thin back. Wanting to pull her into my arms, wanting to kneel and beg her forgiveness.
Just as my fingertips were about to touch her skin—
Hailey flinched sharply.
It was a tiny, instinctive movement. Like dodging a venomous snake, she curled tighter and even shifted toward the edge of the bed.
Her reflexive recoil.
That gesture was sharper than any bullet, any blade. It pierced my heart precisely, shattering all my pride, all my madness instantly.
My hand froze mid-air.
The air seemed to solidify. I watched her hollow stare—she wouldn't even look at me. Those green eyes that once held starlight now held only ash-gray despair.
She was afraid of me. She found me disgusting.
I stiffly pulled my hand back and clenched it into a fist. Nails dug deep into my palm, but I felt no pain.
I stood from the bed, turned my back to her, and began putting on my clothes one piece at a time.
My mind was blank, only muscle memory functioning.
Dressed, I stood at the bedroom doorway, hand on the metal knob. I didn't turn around. I didn't dare. I was afraid one look at her now, and I wouldn't be able to leave.
"You're free."
I heard my own voice echo in the empty room—hoarse, cold, utterly devoid of warmth.
"From now on, go wherever you want. Want to go back to Matthew? Be my guest." I bit out each word like a knife. "Don't ever show your face around me again. I'm done."
I didn't wait for any response. I walked out of the bedroom without looking back, strode through the living room, and slammed the apartment door.
I left her alone in the darkness I'd created.
I don't know how I got down the stairs.
I staggered like a corpse, yanked open the Range Rover door, and collapsed into the driver's seat.
The moment the door closed, the sealed space cut off the rain.
Dead silence.
I slammed my fist into the steering wheel. My knuckles split open again, blood staining the leather.
I'd destroyed her. I'd destroyed the most precious thing in my life.
I slumped against the seat back, head tilted up, chest heaving violently.
I'd forced her freedom on her. I'd let go. In the cruelest way possible, I'd shoved her back into that clean world without gunshots and corpses.
But...
I turned my head, bloodshot eyes locked on that unlit second-floor window, heart grinding like it'd been through a meat grinder.
Let go completely?
If I really withdrew all protection, Yuri—that power-hungry bastard who'd stop at nothing—would circle her like a shark smelling blood.
I was the one who dragged her into this hell. As long as I remained Pakhan, she'd always be a potential chip for Yuri or any other enemy to use against me.
There was no way I could leave her alone in the crosshairs.
Even if she hated me, feared me, I had to protect her life.
I pulled the encrypted phone from my pocket, fingers sliding across the screen, dialing the number.
"Pakhan." Dmitri's voice came through, quick and tense.
I closed my eyes, forcing down that maddening agony. When I spoke again, my voice had regained its cold calm.
"Deploy three Phantom units. Center them on this apartment building, establish twenty-four-hour surveillance.
" I issued the order coldly, eyes locked on that window.
"Yuri's acting like a rabid dog. I want to make damn sure his reach never extends to this street.
Anyone approaching her—man, woman, buying coffee, delivering takeout—I want them vetted and reported to me. "
"What about ordinary civilians who approach her?" Dmitri asked.
"Watch them, don't let them notice. But if it's one of Yuri's eyes, or any scum carrying weapons—" My tone held no fluctuation but radiated bone-chilling killing intent, "—straight to the bottom of the Hudson.
Tell everyone she's free now. They are not to disturb her or interfere with her life.
But if anyone so much as touches a hair on her head, I'll skin them alive. "
"Understood."
I hung up and tossed the phone onto the passenger seat.
I sat in the dark cabin, watching the wipers futilely sweep across the windshield, trying to clear the endless rain.
I told her to be free, to never appear before me again.
But I was still using these underhanded methods to weave a net around her. Under the guise of protection, I was controlling every person who appeared near her, even monitoring the air she breathed, because I simply couldn't truly let go.
I was a complete and utter liar.
