Diego
"Move, you have to move," I urged when Shade seemed content to stay inside me, and he groaned, his lips sliding to my temple as he slowly started moving.
I moaned loudly, unable to stop myself as his cock brushed against my nerve endings with every glide, long and slim and just right.
I'd never felt like this before, never wanted a moment to just keep going.
I'd never experienced pleasure like this before, and I knew it had nothing to do with this being my first time having penetrative sex and everything to do with the man I was having it with.
"You're so tight," Shade murmured in my ear, making me shiver, and I squeezed my hole around him, making him groan. He took my earlobe into his mouth, sucking on it as he slowly pushed in and out of me. I'd asked him to make love to me, and he was doing just that .
"And you feel so good inside me. Ah!" I exclaimed when he pressed against that spot inside me, sending sparks of pleasure through my whole body.
Realizing he'd found the 'drive Diego crazy' button, Shade pressed against it once more, then again, and again until I was crying out with every slow thrust, pushing up into him to make him go faster, harder.
I could feel my climax drawing closer, and he hadn't even touched my cock yet. It was pressed between our bodies, his silky skin brushing against it every time he rocked into me.
That was all I needed to push me closer and closer to the edge, and when he pressed against my prostate one more time, I fell right off.
"Shade!" I shouted as I spilled between us, and he groaned, his hips speeding up. He still somehow managed to be gentle as he pushed into me harder and faster, and just when it started to feel like too much, he froze, and I felt him fill me up as his body shook over mine.
I tightened my arms and legs around him, holding him to me as he came and came until I felt like he would never stop. Shade did tend to spill a lot more cum than me, and while it hadn't felt all that different before, I felt almost too full now.
Shade fell on top of me, his breaths hitting my temple in soft pants as he lay over me.
The moment his cock slid out of me, his cum followed, and I could feel it seeping out of my hole and pooling on the sheets below us.
I wondered who washed these sheets, then stopped short. Nope, did not need to think about that.
"Nothing has ever brought me more pleasure than what we just did," Shade said after a while, and I grinned. Of course he couldn't just say something simple like 'That was good. '
"Yeah, I know what you mean," I said, then pressed a kiss against his neck.
He sighed, then slid off me. "Let me clean you up."
I felt him hop off the bed before I could say anything, then the sound of splashing water. He returned a moment later, and brushed his fingers against my thigh before parting my legs and wiping me down. He wiped my cum off my abdomen as well, then disappeared again.
When he climbed back into bed, he pulled me into his arms, and I snuggled close, tucking my face against his chest.
"I'm sleepy," I mumbled with a yawn, and he chuckled.
"Then you should sleep. We have a wedding to attend tomorrow."
I sighed happily. Then, because I was sex-drunk and half-asleep, I asked, "Would you ever want that?"
"A wedding?" Shade asked, clearly more awake than I was, and I hummed.
"If it was something you wanted, sure."
"Oh?" I asked, unsure how I felt about that. Did that mean he wasn't interested in being married to me? Why the hell was I even asking him that when we hadn't even said 'I love you' yet?
"Marriage doesn't hold the same meaning to supes as it does to humans, at least not supes like me.
For us, our mate bond is far more important.
Unlike a marriage, it can never be broken once it's set in place.
You're already mine for the rest of our lives, Diego.
If you'd like a ring on your finger as a symbol of that, I'd be happy to give you one.
Same for the wedding. But for me, we're already there. "
I sucked in a breath, unsure what to think about that.
"I don't have any particular interest in being married," I said finally. "I was just curious what you thought of it. I mean, I'm happy for Liam and Haruto because that's what they wanted, but I don't think I do."
"That's okay. What we have is all I need," Shade assured me, and I believed him. "How about we sleep so you can be alert tomorrow?"
I chuckled, then snuggled into his chest again. "Yeah, okay. Good night, Shade."
"Night, Diego. Sleep well."
Shade
The next morning, breakfast and lunch—which had been moved an hour early to make time for the wedding prep—passed by in a blur, and before we knew it, it was time for Liam and Haruto's wedding.
I was attending in Diego's shadow, and while I would've preferred to attend in my own form, we'd discovered that it was still pretty weak.
I could only stick around for a few minutes at a time, and I hadn't thought it was worth taking away even a little attention from the wedding.
This was Liam's big day, and I wasn't going to do anything to mess that up.
Diego had his Bluetooth in so I could talk to him, and I'd moved to a shadow near the makeshift altar so I could watch the proceedings properly and describe them to Diego.
"Oh, man, I'm so happy for Liam. He was so lonely before he met Haruto," Diego said, making me smile. He sounded so damned happy for them, just like I was. "Tell me what everything looks like!"
Ready to do the job to the best of my abilities, I launched into a description. I told him how beautiful the lake looked with the sunlight gleaming off it, how the light breeze was making the leaves on the tree sway ever so gently .
I described the arch Silas and the others had built from twine and bent branches, and the multicolored flowers that decorated the whole thing.
"It sounds like something out of a fairytale," Diego murmured, awe clear in his voice.
I turned to look at him, and the wide smile on his face made me grin.
Since he couldn't actually see the proceedings, he'd opted to sit in the back.
While Liam had wanted him to be a part of the wedding, he'd declined because he didn't want to 'be in the way.
' I didn't agree, but I hadn't pushed because he'd seemed happier to hang back.
"Oh, it's starting!" I announced, and Diego turned his head toward the pathway.
He'd probably heard the telltale clatter of Keoni's cart as he stopped near Haruto, murmuring something to him before leading the way to the altar, a basket of flower petals in his hand that he threw from generously. "Keoni is the flower boy."
Diego chuckled. "The perfect man for the job."
Mira, a siren with straight, bluish-black hair, and deep ocean blue eyes started singing, and Diego sucked in a breath.
"She's a siren," I murmured, mesmerized by her voice like everyone. She wasn't using her powers, but even without them, her voice was beautiful.
Water bubbles filled the air, courtesy of a kelpie named Alaric, and the sun glinting off them made them look like little rainbows floating through the air. The description made Diego give a happy sigh, which made me smile.
"Haruto's at the altar now. He looks nervous but also like it's the happiest day of his life," I said as Haruto came to stand beside Headmaster Morrigan, who was dressed in his purple sorcerer robes. I didn't think I'd ever seen him in the traditional sorcerer garb before, but it suited him .
"Oh, Liam's here. He has eyes only for Haruto," I murmured as Keoni raced back to spread some more flowers as Liam started walking toward the altar. "He looks wonderful. He's wearing a white tux with a black pocket square, and Haruto's is the opposite."
"Haruto is in his real form, right?" Diego asked, and I answered in affirmative.
"Good. Liam told me he'd offered to take his human form, but Liam said no.
They're going to take some pictures later for him to send to his parents, but he wanted Haruto to be in the form he's most comfortable in for the ceremony. "
"Sounds like Liam. Oh, it's starting."
I shut up as the headmaster started speaking, since Diego would hear him just fine, and added in a few visual things every once in a while as Haruto and Liam said their vows.
Dustin had started crying at some point, and when the headmaster asked him if he was okay, he waved the man off, while Khush mouthed something about pregnancy hormones over his shoulder, which I told Diego, much to his amusement.
Haruto and Liam slid rings onto each other's fingers, then kissed. When it looked like they had no plans to separate, the headmaster stepped in, then told everyone to go to the Dining Room after they'd congratulated the newlyweds.
I moved back to Diego's shadow, and we waited until the crowd had dispersed a little before Diego approached Liam and Haruto, his phone now on speakerphone so I could talk to them as well.
"Congratulations, you two!" Diego said, a wide grin on his face that Liam returned. Then, Liam wrapped Diego in his arms, and almost lifted him off his feet in his joy .
"Thank you! I'm so glad you could be here. Thanks for hooking this one, Shade," Liam said toward the phone, making me laugh.
"Ah, my pleasure?"
"Well, I'd hope so!" he teased as he let Diego go, then glanced down at his shadow, and therefore, me. "I'll come by yours later. You owe me a hug."
"Of course. Congratulations, both of you," I repeated, and Haruto smiled.
"Thank you. Come on—let's get some food."
"Yes! I'm starving. I was too nervous to eat much today," Liam said, which had Haruto going on high alert instantly.
"Let's go," he said, taking his new husband's hand and pulling him toward the exit of the Lakes area.
Liam laughed as he followed his mate and husband, and I watched them go with a fond smile.
"We should go too. The headmaster said there's cake," Diego said, and I smiled. Did he realize he'd started calling Zephyr 'headmaster?’ Was he starting to think of the Sanctuary as home, or was I seeing too much into it?
We went to the Dining Room where the party was in full swing.
All the tables had been moved to the corners of the big room, leaving the center open for dancing as music boomed through somewhere.
Not Mira's soulful singing, but human pop music that apparently inspired people to shake their bodies in strange ways.
Diego grabbed us some cake—we were both still too full from lunch for food—and we stood near the tables, watching everyone dance as we ate.
"You know, I think you could tell them now. About your new ability. I think Liam would be excited to be able to hug you," Diego said, and I peered up at him, trying to read his face .
"You think so?"
"Mmm-hmm. I'd also like to dance with you, so..." He trailed off, and I pursed my lips in thought. Would it really be okay? This was Liam and Haruto's special day. Would they be okay with me stealing the spotlight?
"You're such a softie," Diego grumbled in a fond tone, then called out to Liam, who'd been just passing by with a large slice of cake. How Diego knew he was there was anyone's guess. Had he recognized him by his footsteps alone?
"What is it? Did you need something?" Liam asked, his eyes sliding over Diego's face as if trying to figure out what was up.
"No, nothing like that. I just wanted to ask you something."
"Go ahead," Liam said as he spooned some cake into his mouth.
"If you could hug Shade right now, would you want to? Even if it took attention off you and Haruto for a bit?"
Liam blinked, then glanced down at me. "Of course! That would be like the best gift ever."
"See?" Diego asked me, not the least bit hesitant to rub it in my face.
If Liam said it was okay...
Taking a deep breath, I rose out of Diego's shadow, sticking close so the lights wouldn't hurt me.
Liam's eyes were wide as he watched me, then he quickly placed his plate on a nearby table before throwing his arms around me as Diego grabbed my hand to keep me close.
I hugged Liam back with one arm, and wondered why I'd ever thought he would mind this. Liam was simply too good for that.
