Six - Jack

I couldn’t help but notice out of the corner of my eyes, just how much Sage was loving every moment of our little ‘show.’ I was pretty distracted, being tangled up in Flint’s muscular arms, and I wasn’t one hundred percent certain, but I was pretty damn sure she was touching herself under the water.

The way her arms were moving suggested as much, though I might have mistaken her swimming in one place for something else. Whatever it was, I didn’t mention it.

Things were getting hot and heavy between us. There was an electricity in the air I’d never felt before with Flint. But right now, I didn’t know which one of them I wanted to be with more. If I were being totally honest, I wanted them both. I was feeling greedy in the best possible way.

Flint pushed me away easily again, both of us fighting for breath. It was a massive turn-on for me just how much stronger he was. Being thrown around a room by him, letting him do whatever he wanted to me… sigh, that would be a night to remember.

“Do you guys always get so… physical?” Sage’s words were strangled enough to know she was definitely up to something.

“Why? Do you want to join in?” I replied without thinking.

Her mouth opened as Flint and I exchanged a look and nodded, ready to pounce. Before we could do anything, someone called out from the side of the lake. We weren’t alone anymore.

“Oh! Err, sorry to interrupt, but we’re all heading to a club. I was sent to see if you want to join us. Entry’s free ‘cos Bea knows a guy on the door. If you’re not busy, that is….” She giggled while we remained like rabbits in her headlights.

“Thanks, Sofia. I think we will!” Sage called back and waved.

Sofia stuck around just long enough to get a measure of what was happening here before disappearing back into the bushes, chuckling away and no doubt ready to let everyone in the group know what the Americans were up to.

“So… dancing next?” I eyed Sage curiously, looking for her to lead.

“Dancing sounds good.” She smiled sweetly, completely at odds with how she looked only moments ago.

Flint looked outright mortified that we’d been ‘caught,’ even though nothing had happened. Yet.

Sofia had certainly put a stop to whatever was happening between us—the growing chemistry between Flint and me, and whatever role Sage decided to play.

Still, we were all floating closer to one another than we had been up until now, and there was definitely something still there. It was in the way Sage’s chest rose and fell with deep breaths, and in the way Flint flicked his hair out of his eyes and stole glances at my body.

Maybe Sofia hadn’t stopped things happening, so much as delayed them. Perhaps her invite was just what we all needed to give us one final push. One more stop before we all experienced a night none of us would ever forget.
