Chapter 30 #2
“Fine. In there. Then you fuckers leave,” he warned, following me into the room. It appeared to be his bedroom, and he locked the door behind us, leaning back against it to cross his arms. “What?”
“Swear it wasn’t you,” I demanded, making him groan.
“You need me to pinky swear or something? I didn’t pay idiots to try and kill you. I’m quite capable of doing it myself.”
“You’re not mad about me fucking your wife?” I asked, grinning slightly. “Sorry, girlfriend. She’s not really your wife now the Demons are gone, right?”
His eyes narrowed, his voice flat. “What did she tell you?”
“That the marriage was a sham to piss off Lopez and secure her protection from your crew. That’s not very crew leadery of you to trick them like that,” I tsked, his hand shooting out to wrap around my throat as he hauled me closer.
“Watch yourself, Donovan. I can change my mind about wanting you dead real fast. Is there a point to this conversation?”
“Go and fucking visit her. Just once. You want her back here when she gets out? It won’t happen unless you do something. We’re tight now, so don’t think she won’t run to me for somewhere to stay.”
“You’ve got a lot of nerve making demands,” he snarled, tightening his hand to make a point, but not cut off my airways. He just wanted to make me feel tiny in comparison to his large frame. “Don’t fuck with me.”
“Don’t fuck with me, asshole. I could tear your crew apart from the inside.
How would they feel to know their leader lied to manipulate them?
Huh?” A gun clicked as he held it to my head, and I smiled and pulled mine out too, aiming it at his head right back.
“I’m not some girl you can push around. I’ve been tossed aside, stepped on, assaulted, and shivved.
I don’t hesitate anymore because it could get me killed. ”
There was a knock on the door before Hunter’s voice came through. “Donovan, speak to me or I’m kicking the door down. You good?”
I eyed Archer, waiting to see what he’d do, and he finally let me go and stepped back, unlocking the door to yank it open.
“Get your little unhinged bitch out of here. She’s going to learn the hard way about being on my bad side otherwise.”
Hunter eyed the gun in his hand before looking at me, finding me standing there with mine in hand too and a smug smile on my face.
“Don’t be like that, Hendricks. We were bonding,” I joked, stepping around him to join Hunter. “Let’s go, he didn’t have anything to do with it. Nice meeting you, Marnie.”
Marnie just blinked at me as I walked out with a very confused looking Hunter behind me.
We didn’t talk until we were in the car, and he turned to stare at me once we were buckled in. “What the fuck just happened?”
“I had dirt on him, so I used it,” I smirked, surprise flashing across his face.
“You had dirt on Hendricks? How did you get that and what was it?”
“Lexi told me something and asked me to keep it a secret. I can’t tell you,” I replied, making him scowl.
“I’m glad you two are buddies now, but how come I’m being left out of a potentially unforgettable threesome?”
“None of us are invited to that,” I deadpanned, giving him the side-eye.
“I’m inviting us,” he grinned, and I swatted at him with the back of my hand.
“You’re a perv. I’ll talk to Lexi about the secret, but no threesome.”
“You’re a perv too,” he smirked, starting the car so we could leave. “I can’t believe you had a standoff with Hendricks.”
“Will be the first of many,” I said, knowing that definitely wasn’t the end of it.
“How long until it’s effective?” Lukas asked, staring at the spot on my arm where the needle had injected me. I’d decided to try the depo shot, not particularly wanting future issues with the implant wrecking my tattoo if they had to cut it out.
“A couple of weeks,” I replied, leaning into him as we waited in the waiting room for the others to all come out. Caden appeared first, and as much as we weren’t currently sleeping together, it gave everyone peace of mind if all of us who’d been involved in this relationship got checked.
“You guys done too?” he asked, checking his phone.
“Yep. What’s the plan for tonight? Do we go to mine and Jensen’s? Josie said it will be Thursday night when we can go back to yours, right?” Lukas asked, keeping me close as his hand brushed up and down my spine.
“I think so. I’d rather not bunk in at Marco’s. We have time to hire security tonight so Hunter won’t have to worry about it,” Caden shrugged, looking at me. “Heard from D?”
“No. Skeet’s in a mood today and working him like a dog,” I muttered, making Lukas snort.
“He’s always in a mood. Tell D where we’re going so he knows.”
Jensen and Tyler wandered out a few minutes later, and all of us headed outside together.
“At least Mom will lay off a little,” Caden sighed, looking at me. “She’ll be very happy about your injection.”
“At least I just have to remember to come in every three months instead of taking a pill daily,” I answered, walking towards the Camaro. “Just need to be careful for a couple of weeks. It doesn’t work straight away.”
“We can’t fuck for weeks?” Tyler practically shrieked, an elderly couple glaring at us as they shuffled along the footpath.
“We can, just wrap it up,” Jensen sighed, tossing me the keys. “You drive. At least if we head to mine, you can take the Lambo when you leave next.”
I was more than happy to drive the Camaro to his place, loving that he was offering it to me without asking. I definitely preferred driving over being a passenger princess.
“I’m going to ride with Holloway,” he added, kissing my cheek. “Look after my baby.”
“You talking about me, or the car?” Lukas asked dryly, only making Jensen smirk.
“Both.”
We split up to leave, and Tyler sat in the back, leaning between the seats.
“I hope this will make everyone lay off Mark a little.”
“Don’t encourage him, dude,” Lukas scoffed, but he didn’t sound annoyed. “Why are you so obsessed with this becoming a thing?”
“You don’t get it, and you won’t until you see them together. It’s so fucking hot,” he groaned, and I gave him a dirty look in the rearview as I followed Caden’s Challenger out onto the road.
“It wasn’t that hot.”
“It totally was. You were out of your damn mind trying to get off. I’ve only seen you that desperate a few times. The chemistry between you both is wild, and I’d bet money on me coming hands-free just from watching him fuck you,” he smirked, and Lukas frowned.
“You really think so?”
“Bro, you have no idea. At least watch them make out in front of you,” he insisted.
“Hi, I don’t want to kiss him,” I stated, but they ignored me.
“It’s a bad idea,” Lukas sighed, seeming to be thinking about it now.
“So was us all getting with Rory, and you getting with Jensen. Turned out to be a good idea though, right?”
“So we all just sit in a circle and jerk off while we watch your new bestie fuck our girl?” Lukas deadpanned, finally looking at me. “Do you want that?”
“No, thank you,” I scoffed, and Tyler huffed.
“You guys don’t know what we’re missing out on.”
Lukas thankfully started talking about Friday’s party, and apparently, one of Hunter’s friends from Ashburn Valley High was a DJ and had been roped into coming.
It was actually turning into a pretty big party, which made me nervous.
Having so many different schools attending could mean fights breaking out, or potential danger sneaking in.
Once we were all safely inside Jensen’s house, we ordered pizza and spread out in the living room to eat, and then we spent the rest of the evening watching movies until we were ready for bed.
Jensen’s bed was huge, so we piled into it and got comfortable, while Caden wandered off to sleep in his own room. I almost called him back, but he’d been the one to do this, not me.
It was nice to just snuggle like this, and nothing could ruin it. Not even Marco when the prick somehow got past security at three in the morning and woke us up.
“Dude,” Tyler grumbled, sitting up and rubbing his eyes as I leaned over him and switched on the lamp.
“Here,” Marco said, ignoring my scowl as he thrust a piece of paper at me. “Clean.”
“What?” I huffed, blindly taking the paper and trying to catch up with the conversation.
“I got tested. Everything is negative,” he said brightly, sitting on the edge of the bed.
“When did you get tested?” Lukas asked, not believing him in the slightest.
“When she told me to. I figured you could relax a little if you knew I was in the clear,” he shrugged, but Tyler sighed.
“Can’t fuck her for a few weeks. She got the depo shot in her arm yesterday.”
“He wasn’t fucking me anyway,” I said sharply, pushing the paper back at Marco. “Thank you, but that could have waited until morning. Do you ever sleep?”
“C’mon, let me crash. It was hard getting past security,” he chuckled, helping himself to Tyler’s side of the bed and stripping off as he went. Tyler, who obviously didn’t mind another snuggle buddy, was more than happy to make room for him, much to everyone else’s annoyance.
“Not happening,” Jensen muttered, but he was already half asleep again since he knew there wasn't a real threat in the house.
“Good night,” Marco smirked before turning the lamp off, plunging the room into darkness again. Lukas buried his face in my hair and went back to sleep like Jensen, and Tyler shuffled to get comfortable, giving me a kiss before going still again.
Fingers toyed with my hair, lightly massaging my scalp and making me sleepy. I knew it was Marco, I could sense it, but I was honestly too tired to scold him over it.
