"You touched my soul and haunted me
Now claim me like you wanted me"
"It's not just about diamond or drug smuggling, It's a whole chain of crime." I said to Luca, Aariv and Brayden, while my eyes were intact to the map flickered over my digital desk; all the ports from where these smuggling ships will depart were marked in it.
We were in my study room, strategizing how to move ahead. I had to be careful with every step as my Tara was involved in all this. I was also a part of this mafia world, But I never let these things cast a shadow on my family ever, or affect them in any way.
And now, that bastard was dragging my sister into his game, even after knowing that once announced as the queen, thousands of threats to her life would arise. She'll be targeted directly by his enemies, by everyone he was involved with.
I zoomed in and watched every port carefully; they were mainly those areas where the government was directly involved and came under Aayansh.
He had planned everything mindfully, and I was damn sure it was not just about material smuggling; something was behind the curtains, which I had to find out.
"Boss, what if we directly attack the ships?" Brayden said, his tone was a bit hesitant and firm.
"Yes boss, we should directly attack and block all the ports at the same time." Aariv added with confidence, glancing at the desk once and then at me again.
I lifted my eyes to them and responded "This will be the biggest foolishness we can ever do." My voice was composed and calculated as I pulled out my chair, and while sitting, I slid back to another folder that was carrying all the confidential information about these illegal exports.
"Aayansh is himself supervising these shipments, and breaking or decoding his security system is almost impossible." I turned my eyes from them to the digital folder as I continued, "We'll choose the alternative way."
"Alternative way?" Luca and Brayden frowned, confusion taking over their faces while Aariv stayed focused.
"Hmm, it's very predictable for them that we'll attack on the ships, which we will.
But not the way they are thinking." I guided the folder down, and my eyes scanned every detail as I continued, "Some of our men will already be on those ships; through them, we'll get every minor to major detail of the events there.
We'll hinder the ships mid-way and then attack so that they won't get any chance to reciprocate. "
"And if these shipments get hindered, it might turn out in a deadly mafia gang war as Aayansh is leading this, we have to be ready for it."
"But if our men get caught, then? I mean King, He's very sharp." Aariv exclaimed, his eyes narrowed in anticipation.
"We have to take this risk, Aariv. If this happens, then we'll attack then and there, that's why we have to be ready for everything- to kill or to die." I stated, my mind calculating all the deadly possibilities that could happen.
"Aayansh will be on the cruise to sign the deal; only after that the ships will depart. Meanwhile, we have to prevent every means of their counter-attack."
"But above all this, Tara will also be there on the cruise with him.
And I don't want any risk in my sister's life.
Aariv, you'll look after the security of the cruise, cause the threat will be there also.
Me, Brayden and Luca will be in these locations, I'm damn sure that if the war broke out, the prior and easiest target of everyone would be Tara, as she's in the queen's position.
My presence on the cruise will complicate things, so Aariv will ensure her safety.
" I concluded, my voice was cold and composed, but my inner self was scared.
What if something happened to Tara? She was unaware of all this and that bastard was using her just to weaken me.
I took a deep breath, trying to find the patience hanging out in this thin air.
Never in my life had I thought that I'd get separated from my princess like this.
I knew the day she'll know the whole truth, she'll come back to her family with all her heart.
And after this cruise party, I'll tell her everything by any means.
"Boss, Lorcan is also involved in this mass smuggling, he'll be present at the dealing also, then will be-"
Lorcan is a Russian gangster, and he's an important part of this crime chain.
I hindered Luca saying, "Every known mafia is involved, Luca.
That's why it's mass, but right now there isn't a situation to think about all this.
If this smuggling took place successfully, many innocent lives will be shattered, many things are at stake, so we can't turn back at this point.
" I murmured, my voice dripping severity.
"Arsh?"
I turned my head towards the backside where Inayat was standing.
"Evara?" The word slipped out my throat as I saw her, who was looking at me only.
"Evara?" Luca, Aariv and Brayden repeated the name with confusion.
"Isn't her inayat?" Aariv frowned and glanced towards her, asking, "Did you change your name?"
"Her name is Inayat only, but boss calls her 'Evara'," Luca said and I could sense the tease in his tone.
"Any special reason for this, boss?" Brayden accompanied him with a wicked smile.
"Our discussion is over, you all can leave." I snapped at them in a cold voice and stood up from my chair to head towards her who was getting nervous because of these three idiots.
"Ohh, okay... we are leaving; enjoy your privacy" Aariv said and I passed him a warning look, leaving no room for further nonsense. They glanced at us once before leaving the room.
"Did you have your dinner?" I asked her; my eyes scanned her expressions, and I could see something that was bothering her.
"Can I ask you something?" She responded, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Hmm?"
"Stella aunty told me that you are sending me away from you?" Her eyes were gleaming moisture and her voice thin with anticipation.
That was true and I was sending her back to New York as this place was no longer safe for her; I was not safe for her.
The world I was involved in was not for her, I need to prioritise her safety cause if something happened to me between all this, I wanted her to stay out of this mess.
She didn't deserve this, she deserved love and care.
She deserved the world but not me, I couldn't be so selfish to risk her life by keeping her with me.
"Why are you crying?" I wiped the tears sliding down her cheeks; somewhere, they were clenching my heart. She didn't react but the tears in her eyes said it all, the pain she was holding.
"Look into my eyes, Evara," I said, trying to keep my voice soothing and steady. I had to explain these things to her. Lifting her head, she looked at me while fluttering her wet lashes and I took her face in my palms, keeping my eyes intact to hers.
"You deserve the world, angel. You are not for my mess." I tried to comfort her, I couldn't see tears in her eyes, especially when I was the reason.
She didn't say anything, but our eyes shared thousands of emotions. She was scared of losing me and I was scared of becoming a threat to her. I didn't know if I would be alive after all this or not, and binding her with me was a sin.
I knew she was attached to Me that's why she was behaving like this.
"What if I don't want this world without you?" She whispered, her words straightly pierced through my soul and I sighed.
"Try to understand, I'm always with you. But I don't want to be the reason for any kind of danger to you." I murmured, trying to explain to her.
"I trust you, arsh. But how long?" She said, holding my hands. 'I trust you', that's what I wanted to hear from her mouth.
"If we are destined to meet, then we will meet again, angel. Promise and everything will be beautiful then, hmm?" I exclaimed with the same tone, holding her hand and taking her out.
All I wanted at the moment was to comfort her.
Reaching the dining area, I made her sit in the chair, and I sat beside her, her eyes not leaving my sight for a second. She was looking at me like she wanted to fill her eyes and soul with me like she didn't want to see anything after me.
"Let's have dinner together," I said, not intentionally meeting my eyes with hers as I knew it would make her weak. Serving the food on her plate, I took a bite to her mouth and she ate it from my hands, a serene smile made its way on my lips.
Taking a bite in her hand, she forwarded it to me and I ate it. Sometimes verbal conversations aren't needed to share emotions, eyes spoke volumes and the soul express the heart. That's exactly what our situation was; the peace around us was the evidence of the extent to which we were connected.
After having dinner, I took her to her room as it was too late. Laying her in bed, when I was about to leave, she held my hand with both her hands and I turned to look at her.
"I will miss you," she said innocently, her voice a slow whisper.
"I will miss you more" I replied, passing her a soothing smile. "Now close your eyes; you have to leave for New York in the morning." I kept my hand over her eyes, making them close, I sat beside her until she fell asleep.
Sometimes, destinies are not in our hands; they play by their ways.
But 'if it meant to be, it will be'.
???
"Finish it" He ordered me, motioning his eyes towards breakfast on the table.
Sighing, my eyes travelled throughout the table.
It was veg Italian cuisine like Caprese with lots of vegetables, Ravioli and some sweet dishes.
I didn't want to eat anything, but he was staring at me like he'd stuff all this in my mouth if I didn't eat by myself.
Last night I wasn't too drunk, still my head was feeling heavy.
We were in one of the seven-star restaurants on this island, and the vibe here was so peaceful and different.
The interior was elegant and so fine with a theme of brownish grey, and it felt like we were in another world; I asked him to have breakfast here instead of any private space as I wanted to experience this.
People here were looking well-mannered and cultured.
I looked back at Aayansh; he was wearing a black Lauren jacket with black pants and a shirt; his hair was not completely settled, but still, he was looking perfect, and his facial expressions were as always cold.
Meanwhile, I was wearing a black middie dress, which covered my thighs up to the knees efficiently; I had a light touch-up on my face with normal Castella earrings, and my hair was tied into a messy ponytail.
He was doing something in his tab while leaning on his chair.
Taking the chance, I slid away my plate slowly but just then, he said, "Wife, giving you five fucking minutes, I want this food finished, or else I have my ways to stuff your mouth.
" His eyes were still on the screen, and his tone was cold and authoritarian, leaving no room for further argument.
I grimaced at him but didn't have any option so I took the plate to me again and started having the food as he was staring at me, leaning on his chair. Picking up my hot chocolate glass, I glanced around to take the view and my gaze fell on the table near us where a young woman was sitting.
Wait, was she Amella Richeal? Yes, she was.
She was one of the youngest and most successful businesswomen in the world. I saw a few of her interviews and news covers, she was an inspiring figure.
Following her gaze, my eyes fell back on Aayansh who was now doing something in his tab. She was staring at him only; lust was evident in her gaze as she carried the glass of wine to her lips, and she was touching herself inappropriately with her eyes fixed on him.
My eyes narrowed at her; I hated the way she was staring at him. It was giving me a disgust feeling and at the same time, the way her eyes were filled with lust and filth.
I glared back at him, who was still busy with his deed; I knew he didn't like it when someone stared at him, so why wasn't he preventing her now? Why was he sitting so casually? I didn't voice these questions, but I didn't know why; I was feeling so uneasy and uncomfortable.
Her eyes were still glued to him as she continued her actions, meanwhile my face scrunched up at him. I wanted him to stop her, but here he was sitting so normally, didn't even bother to look at her, and this thing was infuriating me further.
How can she or anyone look at him in this way? I didn't like it. I forced myself to stay normal as much as I could as I didn't have any claim on him, but still.
I took a sip of my hot chocolate, but it wasn't helping at the moment. I felt my heart burning and mind racing the way they never did; my eyes fixed on him, who was still unaffected by everything.
Digging my nails in my palms and lowering my face, I took a deep breath, trying to find patience hanging out in this thin air, but nothing was helping out the situation. Why was this thing bothering me so much? But why shouldn't it, he was my husband.
The moment I felt patience slipping out and moisture gleaming in my eyes, I stood up, and without lifting my head, I said, "I- I need to go to the washroom," my voice thin with irritation.
But as I took a step forward, out of the context, throwing his tab aside, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me on his lap.
My heart skipped a beat, and my breath hitched as I fell on him suddenly, but I didn't lift my head as my eyes were filled with moisture, and I didn't want him to see me like this.
"You, come and sit here" He ordered Amella, motioning towards the chair right in front of us. His voice and expressions were as cold as ice and dark with rage, which I could feel. His grip was tight over my waist, and his eyes never left the sight of my face.
I fluttered my lashes in anticipation, trying to sense what he wanted to do now, but the frustration was still the same, so I tried to get up from him as I was feeling suffocated, but he was holding me so tightly.
I shifted my eyes from him to her who literally came and sat in front of us, fear crossed her face as she bit her lips. Everyone's attention effortlessly diverted towards us which made me feel weird.
Aayansh looked back at her, and with the same dark tone, he warned her, "Now stare comfortably, and if you take your eyes off, I'll make sure you won't be able to see anything after this."
Some more confusion and agony took over my face, and I muttered, "Aayansh, what are you-" My words died in my throat when he suddenly grabbed my neck and smashed his lips on mine, making my eyes shoot open and senses blank for a moment.
I fist his jacket in my hands as I felt his passion over my lips and closed my eyes as soon as his warm lips made contact with mine; the tears I was holding slid down my cheeks as I melted in his embrace; I melted in this kiss and in him for the first time.
It felt like the world was no longer burning around me; he pulled me closer to him; his firm grip on my neck was still tight, and his other hand was holding my waist as he wrapped my legs around his torso, making my body completely cling to his.
He was sucking and nibbling on my lips at a wild rhythm, devouring every inch of them like he was hungry for them for so long. I fluttered my bent lashes, and some more tears shed as I felt he was making me realise that just like he claimed me, he was also mine.
I let him snatch the breath I was holding and slowly started kissing him back, clearly couldn't match his pace, but I was kissing him back with all I could muster.
His actions weren't gentle by any means but still worked to calm me as he continued to devour my lips, while caressing my waist with his one hand.
I gasped in his mouth when he plunged his tongue into mine and started licking every corner of it with desperation. My lungs started squirming with lack of oxygen and I tapped on his shoulders, indicating to him that I was breathless.
Biting my lower lip, he pulled away and I started breathing heavily, clearly struggling to fetch every single breath.
My face turned red with the lack of oxygen, and I hid my face in his chest as we were in a public place.
I was feeling embarrassed, while his expressions remained the same and unaffected.
The fragrance of his cologne scent mixed in my breath as I hid myself in his embrace.
Caressing her neck and keeping her close to me, I tilted my head slightly to look at that woman who was shivering now.
Her fear-filled wide eyes glued to us as she gulped her saliva.
I fucking want to kill this woman here and now cause of her I saw tears in my wife's eyes, but death would be an easy punishment for her.
My eyes blazed with possessiveness and fury, but I remained composed and warned her, "I think you got your lesson that only I like my wife's eyes on me", my tone cold enough to make her tremble.
"I- I wasn't-" Her mouth shut closed when I gave her a warning look again, daring her to lie and invite her death right where she was sitting.
I was noticing everything, and I would have killed her by now, but I remained calm cause I wanted to see to which extent this thing affects my wife, and I saw the effect exactly as I knew.
I didn't want her to feel insecure because of some other woman; if I claim her as mine, then I'm also hers, and I want her to understand this thing. No fucking woman or anyone could come between us ever, and if anyone even tried to, they'll end up dead.
Ignoring everything, I lifted her in a bridal style, and she curled herself in my arms; holding her, I headed out. Reaching the car, I took her down but she didn't lift her head.
"Eyes up" I commanded, my voice steady as I leaned over her slightly.
She lifted her head slowly and murmured "Why did you do that?" Her thin voice carried hesitance.
"I'll do much more than this if I ever see tears in your eyes because of someone else," I said with the same tone, hovering over her.
She looked at me with a mix of defiance and amazement and replied "It's nothing like what you think, I was-"
I turned and pinned her against the car; keeping my hold on her waist, I leaned further and licked her earlobe sensually; I whispered, "Really, It means these things don't affect you?
" I kissed her cheek and then neck, my voice low and husky and I could feel her shivering under my touch, her muscles tensing as she kept her hands on my chest.
Her breath hitched further when my lips moved to her collarbone and I bit her soft skin. "Tell me, fireheart. These things don't affect you, right?"
"Ah- Aayansh, we- we are out; anybody can see us", she breathed, tilting her head, her voice more like a gasp.
"Do you think I care about that?" I said, leaving no room for argument.
My lips made their way to her chin, and I started sucking on it; she closed her eyes, trying to control her uneven breath. I could feel her increasing heartbeats with my every desperate touch.
"Aay- Aayansh, please-" she stammered, clearly under my affect.
"Please what?" I tightened my grip over her waist.
"St- stop it"
She doesn't accept but I could see the effect I had on her, which gave me satisfaction.
She never resisted me, not when I marked her as mine for the first, when she was just a teenage girl who was developing hormones, a complete naive.
And when she came into my room that night and I made her mine completely, used every unholy way to snatch her and made her realise that she was mine in every second of her life.
I detached away and opened the car's door and made her sit on the passenger seat. She remained calm but her mind was still baffled because of my unexpected actions. Fastening her seat belt, I myself sat on the driving seat and started the car.
???
"la fiducia e il tempo sono cose preziose, Lorenzo.
E non investo i miei beni di lusso su tutti.
" (Trust and time are precious things, lorenzo.
And I don't invest my luxuries on everyone) I said to Lorenzo Edoardo, an Italian mafia and one of the most known arms smugglers in the underworld.
My tone was cold and steady as I pointed my gun at the small black dot on the target wall ahead.
Wearing my casuals, I was in the backyard of my palace with the morning rays cascading around. One more day had passed and today's night was crucial because of many reasons.
"E se ti dessi una buona ragione per fidarti di me?" (What if I give you a good reason to trust me?) He responded with a wicked smile curling his lips. "e non-si tratta solo di contraband di armi, re" (And this is not just about arms dealing, king"
An evil smirk made its way to my lips as my eyes shifted from him to his man standing behind him.
After hitting my target, I Tilted my head towards him and, pulling the bullets out of my gun; I exclaimed, "La fiducia dovrebbe essere reciprocal, Lorenzo.
Se vuoi vincere la mia, allora fammi sapere prima quanto ti fidi di me. "
(Trust should be mutual, Lorenzo. If you want to win mine, then first let me know how much you trust me)
"Certo che mi fido di te" (of course I trust you). His reply came in an instant, his tone laced with desperation.
My smirk deepened, leaving only two bullets in my gun; I ordered him, "Non-credo alle parole, credo alle azioni. Vai al front." (I don't believe in words, I believe in actions. Go to the front)
Confusion and fear took over his face, trying to sense what I was about to do. Following my order, he went and stood near the target wall. Right beneath that black dot, Terror started reflecting from his eyes as I pointed my gun towards him, over his head on that black dot.
If the bullet missed the target, it would directly hit his head; this thought made his steps falter, and his body trembled while I was enjoying the terror of death on his face.
My sharp eyes were focused on both that small dot and his sweat-drenched face. Just then, I felt her presence behind me, and without turning back or moving, I growled, "Come here, wife."
When I felt no activity from her, I turned and looked at her who was standing a few distance away from me, confusion and anticipation taking over her face. My eyes roved all over her; she was in her coffee-brown casual knee-length dress.
"Wife, you know I'm not in the habit of repeating myself," I said, keeping my voice steady and composed.
She slowly took towards me and as soon as she reached near me, I took her hand in mine and pulled her close to me, her back pressing against my chest, leaving her stunned because of my sudden action.
"What are you doing?" She asked, confusion filled in her voice.
Wrapping my arms around hers and keeping my eyes ahead, I handed the gun to her slightly shivering hands and curled my hands around hers to tighten the grip.
Leaning over her from behind, making sure that my breath flowed over her neck, I warned Lorenzo, who was trembling and stood like a statue and his eyes were glued to the ground, "Ricordati una cosa Lorenzo, nel momento in cui alzerai gli occhi, ti spareranno dei prettily in testa.
" (Remember one thing, Lorenzo. The moment you raise your eyes, the bullet will be shot on your head)
Here, she didn't understand what I said in Italian and stayed still near me as I guided her fingers to the trigger with mine and commanded, "Focus ahead Amour, On that black dot."
"B- but Aayansh, it can hurt him." She stammered, fear and disbelief coating her tone as her hands were still trembling with the weight of the gun. This wasn't the normal gun, neither holding a gun was a normal thing for her, but she had to learn these things and I'll make her.
I placed the gun in the right position, Pushing her fingers towards it and applying a slight force to the trigger; I demanded again, "Focus and pull the trigger." My cold tone left no room for her further questions.
I could feel her breath going heavy in anticipation as she tried to apply pressure with her tender fingers. My wife was too delicate and I loved this, but I wanted her to be Fierce at the same time.
Placing my fingers over hers, I applied force to the trigger and then loosened my grip to let her pull it. I slowly kissed her ear to keep her relaxed while my eyes remained intact on Lorenzo and the target right above his head.
"Now pull it," I commanded, motioning the gun to that point. I wanted to erase this terror from her mind.
Taking a deep breath, she pulled the trigger, and the bullet hit the dot effortlessly as I had already placed it in the exact motion.
She shivered at the sound of the gunshot, and I immediately turned and pulled her close to me, hiding her face in my chest; I caressed her neck.
After taking the gun from her hands, I leaned down to kiss her cheek and whispered "Good girl"
My eyes fell back on Lorenzo who was sighing out of satisfaction that the bullet didn't hit his head.
"Lorenzo, I didn't know you carry manual cameras with you.
" My eyes shifted from him to his man who was himself shivering.
"Or- I know" his eyes widened at my words as the realisation that I had caught his cheating hit his mind.
Before he could process further, I shot on his thigh and his scream cut the silence as he fell on the ground.
Hearing another gunshot and Lorenzo's scream, she shivered in my arms and tightened her grip around my chest, but didn't pull out her face and I started rubbing her back, while my eyes sparking anger remained fixed to him who was writhing from pain.
This fucker had a chance to spill the truth on the first bullet, but he lost it and leaving cheaters was not my habit.
Aiden was involved with him, and he thought that I didn't know about this and directly came to embrace death at my hands.
But I won't kill him so easily. Instead, he deserved a brutal death from me.
I called out Rivaan to take both these motherfuckers the place they deserved, my place where I'll show them the real hell.
???
"You scare me, can't you stay normal?" She murmured, huffing as I took her to the room.
"I'm not a normal man, Amour. And I'm not a good man either." I said, rolling the sleeves of my shirt up to my elbows and glancing towards her who was standing near me.
"Exactly, you are a criminal and you want to involve me in your crime world, right?" She snapped, staring at me with narrow eyes.
Keeping my tone firm, I exclaimed "Involving you is not an option, you are a part of me so you are already involved."
"No, I'm not. I will never" she protested, nervousness crossing her face and she took steps backwards as I headed towards her.
"Wife, Your weak protests aren't helping" I continued to take steps towards her and she was moving backwards, as I reached her, her feet hit the bed and she sat back on it.
Resting my one knee in bed, leaning over her face, I said "Get ready, we have to attend an important cruise party tonight"
"Why are you taking me with you?" she grimaced, protesting like a child. And the effect of my closeness was evident on her face.
"Cause your presence is equally important as mine, now no more questions." I pecked her lips and pulled away.
