Kenna’s Chocolate Milk
Kenna’s Chocolate Milk
KENNA DOESN’T MEASURE BECAUSE SHE LEARNED THIS BY WATCHING, NOT READING.
Ingredients
· A glass of cold milk (the kind that fogs the glass)
· A spoonful of cocoa powder—real cocoa, not the sweet kind
· Sugar, added slowly, tasting between stirs
· A pinch of salt (she never forgets this)
· A drop of vanilla, if it’s been a long day
How Kenna Makes It
She starts with the cocoa and sugar at the bottom of the glass.
Adds just enough milk to turn it into a dark, glossy paste. No lumps allowed.
She stirs until her wrist gets tired—because rushing ruins it.
Then the rest of the milk, poured gently, like it matters.
The salt goes in last. Always last.
She drinks it cold, leaning against the counter,
because some comforts work better when you don’t sit down.
Kenna’s Rule
If it’s too sweet, it’s wrong.
If it’s too bitter, add patience—not more sugar.
