Sheol
This woman was going to be the death of me. Didn’t I just tell her stubborn ass I was here to help her? No sooner did I turn my back did she take off running. She had no idea who she was messing with. My protective instincts would not allow her to leave my sight. She needed me whether she wanted me or not.
“Aurora, what the hell? Get your ass back here.”
I knew we had limited time to get out of this area. Those bikers were coming in hot, and we needed to put some miles behind us. I had already gone to the Prez, Loki, and explained the situation. He wasn’t happy, but he understood. This protector wasn’t something I chose. I was born to do it and therefore, could not be deterred in my duties. Loki was very understanding of this. In fact, he encouraged it.
Hell, he even told me that if things got too hot on the streets, I could come to the clubhouse and ask my brothers to vote on a safe space for Aurora in the club. That would be a last resort kind of thing. I needed to handle things on my own. Aurora was mine to protect. I didn’t want to involve my club unless absolutely necessary.
I took off running behind the rambunctious woman. She hadn’t gotten too far, and I was extremely quick on my feet. Catching up to her was easy. Subduing her was another thing. She fought me tooth and nail. If anybody was watching from their window, they would think I was abducting this lady. Well, I guess I was taking her against her will, but it was for her own good.
“Aurora, if you don’t stop fighting me, I’m going to leave you here for those bikers to kill.”
I didn’t mean it, but it got her attention. She stopped struggling long enough for me to haul her over my shoulder and carry her little ass back to my bike. I had to zip tie the hellcat to my bike to get her to cooperate. Even then, she still tried to get loose. As a last resort, I grabbed her arms, and zip tied them around my waist. That seemed to do the trick. She finally gave in and allowed me to start the bike.
“Have you ever ridden a bike, Cher?”
Stubborn must be her middle name, because she refused to answer me. I had to pinch her to get a reaction out of her. Once I determined that she was an experienced rider, I took off to my house on the outskirts of the city. It was a place I went to think. Only two people knew it’s location, Loki and Cougar.
The place was a safe haven. Nobody was getting within a hundred yards of it, without setting off warnings. I had several escape routes mapped out and there was an arsenal of weapons at my disposal. If those funky bikers wanted my woman, they were going to have to walk through the realms of Hell to get her.
As we arrived, I could feel Aurora relax. She knew I wasn’t going to hurt her. This place was far enough outside of the city that no one would think to look for her here. It had nothing to do with her so that also protected her.
“What is this place? It looks like a fortress or something. I hope you don’t think you are going to lock me up in this prison.”
I pulled out my knife and cut her straps. Then I helped her dismount Lucy.
“Come on in. I promise you will not be treated like a prisoner, unless you act like one. If you try to escape again, I will be forced to constrain you, Cher. I can’t let anything happen to you.”
“Well, I’m not going to stay out here in the boonies alone with you. I guess you better tie me up.”
“Now, Cher, if I had known you were into kink, I would have brought the handcuffs. Instead, how about you act civilized and promise me you won’t try to leave. We are in the middle of nowhere in Louisiana. There are snakes, gators and all kinds of dangerous animals out there. You wouldn’t make it to the next town alive. Keep that in mind.”
She sat on my couch, crossed her arms over her chest and pouted. It was the cutest thing I had ever seen. I wasn’t worried about her escaping. I just wanted to mess with her. True enough, there was dangerous wildlife surrounding us, but they didn’t mess with you, if you didn’t mess with them.
What she really needed to worry about was the locks that only opened via fingerprint identification, the shatterproof glass, and the stellar alarm system that would alert me as soon as she attempted to even touch a door or window. If she didn’t mind getting a zap of electricity when trying to open the door, then neither did I.
