Sheol
When we arrived on the outskirts of my property, I immediately knew something was deathly wrong. I dismounted Lucy and barely took the time to put down the kickstand. Barreling into the house would be stupid. I needed to stop and think for a minute. After discussing a plan of action with my brothers, it was decided that we would fan out to cover all flanks. I would enter the front door to access the situation and then we would go from there.
The Sinners were ready for action, just waiting for my signal to attack. Snaking my way through the yard, I cautiously approached the front door. My heart dropped to my stomach when I saw it was slightly ajar. Aurora would never leave the door open. Hell, she wouldn’t even feel comfortable opening the door for anyone except me.
As I moved closer, one of my worst nightmares materialized right in front of me. There, lying at the entrance of my house, was Jason. He had a hole in the center of his forehead and was no longer breathing. Fear like I have never known it, crawled up my back. I rushed into the house holding my breath at what else I would find.
After giving the emergency signal to my brothers, I headed inside. Holding my breath, I ran from room to room only to find the house empty. Fuuuuuck!
“What’s going on, brother? Where is your woman?” Cougar asked.
“She’s not here. I think they took her. Let me pull up the security footage.”
Snagging my laptop from my office, I logged into my security app and almost lost my mind. Those asshole Slayers not only took my lady, but they also made a point to show me they didn’t care if I knew. That bastard Hades, looked directly into the camera and laughed. He was dragging Aurora by the hair and forced her out of the house. When I got my hands on that asshole, I was going to make him regret ever hearing the name Aurora.
“Sheol, I need you to breathe. You can’t be of service to your woman like this. We need a plan and to go into this thing with level heads. We are going to approach this with a military strategy. I need to do a bit of research to find out more about these Slayers. You can’t fight your enemy without knowing who they are and how they operate.”
Cougar was a godsend. He knew I was losing it. He also was aware that I wasn’t thinking straight. I was letting my emotions take over instead of relying on my knowledge and experience.
“You’re right, Cougar. Why don’t you give Maximus a call? He would have intel about this gang since they are from the Bay area. If need be, we can bring him out to help with the situation.”
In the meantime, I was going to analyze the security footage to determine where they could have taken her. I was very hopeful that she was uninjured because there was no blood trail. Hopefully her protection amulet was still working. I don’t know what I would do if they were successful in killing her. No matter the outcome, one thing was for sure. Hades and his fellow hunters were going to die a horribly painful death.
I was checking out the footage of the abduction, when I noticed some movement in the perimeter of my yard. It looked like a female form hiding against a tree. Immediately, I shot out of the house with my weapon drawn.
When I arrived at the wood line, I almost passed out from shock. Sitting out in the grassy area was none other than Tomi. This bitch had set my lady up to be abducted and now I had her within my grasp. I dragged her trifling ass back to my house and tied her to a chair.
“Bitch, I am holding on by a hair right now. You had better tell me everything you know about these damn bikers. Trust me, you don’t want to fuck with me. Talk!”
Queue the tears. I couldn’t believe she thought that would work for her. The way I wanted to smash her face in. Tomi was lucky I needed information from her. Otherwise, she would be in a world of hurt. If she didn’t start talking soon, I was going to give her something to cry about.
“I don’t know anything. They kidnapped me and…”
“If you’re determined to lie to me, then we can end this shit now. Cougar, bring me the pliers.”
That got her attention. The lying bitch sat up a bit more in her chair and her eyes got big. When the first fingernail was pulled from its bed, she howled in pain. I was done being nice to this woman. Time was of the essence. I needed to get to Aurora before the hunters were able to circumvent her magic.
“Are you ready to talk, or should I remove another nail?”
“Wait! Please don’t. I’ll talk. I’ll talk.”
“I’m waiting, bitch.”
“The guy in charge, Hades, is a beast. He is on a mission to kill that girl. He was ranting and raving about chopping her head off and drinking her blood. The man is unhinged.”
My hands started shaking just thinking about that man putting his hands on Aurora. My mind could not process even the thought of her being hurt. Rage welled up in my soul and I screamed in Tomi’s face.
“He took her to the middle of the city so he could harness her power. He has a thing about the French Quarter. I’m not sure exactly which hotel they are in.”
Did this bitch think I was stupid? There was no way a biker gang would infiltrate a hotel in the middle of the French Quarter without being seen. Let alone with them having a hostage. It would be too easy for them to be caught. I knew there was absolutely no way they would be there. Since she wanted to play games, I was done playing with her. I took out my gun and shot her in the neck. Then I took my knife and scalped the whore.
“Cougar, get her the fuck out of here. Feed her ass to the gators.”
