Shields and Roses (Pride and Prejudice Variation)

This Pride and Prejudice variation follows the manipulations of Lady Catherine de Bourgh as she follows a long-term strategy to ruin the Bennet family using her relationship as Elizabeth Bennet’s self-appointed godmother.

Her relentless schemes are challenged by members of the Bennet family and their friends, including Lady Catherine’s brother and other Fitzwilliam family members.

At the same time, Fitzwilliam Darcy must recognize his aunt’s true nature and overcome his prejudices to eventually ally himself with those working against her in order to meet and win the object of his affections.

The story blends elements of classic fairy tales, particularly Sleeping Beauty, with the social dynamics of Regency-era England, highlighting themes of social status, family loyalty, and personal growth.
