Chapter 2 #2
She sauntered up to me, her eyes fixed on my mans behind the ball shorts I wore. Bringing her body flush with mine, I enjoyed the way her cheeks tinted when she felt how hard I was.
“You know damn well what you do to me, Zeus.” Her natural scent traveled to my nose, igniting my blood. “Just thinking about what you do to me is making me wet right now. So, yes, you’re being irrational.”
I didn’t hear anything after “wet”. By then, I had Pen pinned against the counter.
Giggling, she fisted my beater and pulled me closer. When she kissed me, I inhaled her lips like I hadn’t had them in years.
“Turn around,” I commanded between kisses.
She did as I asked with a blaze burning in her eyes. Knowing she had to assist me, she shimmied out of her shorts and panties, then bent over and grabbed her ankles. With the head of my stiff dick, I rubbed on her juicy pussy, loving how soaked she was. Pushing inside her was akin to ecstasy.
“I haven’t had my pussy in days, Baby.” Groaning, my head tilted back on my shoulders as she moaned. The fit was tight, so tight and wet that I had to look down and admire my woman’s goodness.
“Damn,” I commented. She had my entire length coated in her nectar. I hit her deep, grunting when she took it.
“Zoo!” she gasped.
Her whimpers drove me insane. As she took my deep blows, she never let go of her ankles. That shit had me on one.
Glancing over her shoulder, she made eye contact with me. Her glazed expression mirrored mine.
“I love what you do to me, Baby,” she moaned right before her pussy gripped me so tight, she triggered me to nut.
“Fuck!” I stiffened behind her while she threw her ass back and drained me dry while cumin’ all over my dick.
PENELOPE
As Zoo and I showered, I fought back the tears I’d been holding in all day. When he wasn’t around, I cried. I cried because all I saw when I closed my eyes, was him hitting the ground. I remembered the way I screamed, and the way my heart left my chest, not knowing how badly he’d been injured.
That night was etched into my brain to the point where I couldn’t sleep without being underneath him. However, by day, I found myself avoiding him until I formed a rational reason for why I was upset with him.
I’d never been in love, and I wasn’t expecting to lose my first love.
Zoo scared the hell out of me, and truthfully, I was mad at myself for loving him so much that I couldn’t live without him.
This type of love was dangerous. It caused sleepless nights, jars of tears, and broken hearts, none of which I wanted to endure.
Yet, in the days since Zoo had been shot, I’d experience all those emotions and then some. One emotion I couldn’t let go of even if I tried was fear. I was so afraid to lose this man.
“What’s on ya mind?” he asked while rinsing off.
Shaking my head, I replied, “Nothing.” He continued to stare, causing me to say, “I can’t wait until you can pick me up again.”
Deflection was key as it did what I expected.
He attacked me just as I darted out of the shower, laughing when he almost slipped.
Zoo and I needed to stay on the path of healing in our relationship.
Admittedly, I was the one causing the drama when he was being everything I thought he wouldn’t be to me.
Grabbing my moisturizer, I applied it to my skin while watching him dry off. The bullet wound was still evident and would be for the rest of his life. I had a love/hate relationship with the scar. It was a sign of Zoo’s bravery and fearlessness.
“My parents are comin’ over for dinner,” he mentioned.
Scoffing at his reflection in the mirror, I said, “You could’ve told me your parents were coming for dinner before we decided to bless the kitchen.”
Zoo dropped a kiss on my neck and grinned. “If you’on put some clothes on, we gon’ end up blessin’ this bathroom in a minute.”
The smile I tried to fight blossomed across my face. What was on the tip of my tongue to say died when the motion sensors alerted that someone was pulling into the yard.
Checking his phone, Zoo mumbled, “Shit.”
“Who is it?”
“Thing One and Two,” he answered.
He disappeared from the bathroom seconds later.
I finished moisturizing, dressed, then went to find Zoo.
In the living room, Zoo was talking to two men, who I instantly knew were Smiths.
Zoo heavily favored the men who were definitely twins, although one happened to have the same snarl on his face that Zoo wore when he was upset.
All eyes trained on me with me smiling, shyly.
“Damn, you’re tall as fuck in real life,” the one with the snarl on his face commented.
“Bruh.” The other one chuckled and shook his head. “I’m Stephan, lil’ mama. This is my brother, Shaun.”
Shaun’s face balled up again, making him look just like Zoo. He stuck his hand out to shake mine.
“Gatah,” he corrected. “This nigga always tryna introduce me like I’m regular.”
“Regular as fuck,” Stephan shot back.
Yep, these were Smiths. The way they went back and forth like Zoo, Brooklyn, and Sin had me laughing.
“They ain’t that funny,” Zoo mumbled as the front door opened.
In walked two beautiful ass women, one holding a baby in her arms.
“By the looks on y’all’s faces, y’all in here cuttin’ up.” That came from the brown sister with a mane of hair flowing behind her like she had a gust of wind following her. The baby girl she carried on her hip was her twin.
“When are they not cutting up?” I had to admire the body on the other woman. She was built like she paid for it, but a girl could tell when it was natural.
“I’m Shaun’s wife, Yaya, and this is Stephan’s wife, Mariah. It’s so good to meet you!” Yaya took me into a warm hug followed by Mariah.
“Girl, we gotta come see you next season! These niggas had us hemmed up for the past few months like we don’t live in the States,” Mariah said.
“I would love that,” I replied. I couldn’t help but be distracted by the juicy brown skinned girl staring at me with big brown eyes. Tweaking her cheeks earned me a giggle.
“This is Sion. Girl, you want her?” Yaya asked.
We collectively busted out laughing when Shaun pried his baby from his wife’s arms.
“Don’t be tryna give my baby away,” he fussed.
“Well, tonight, you can stay up with her.”
“Aight, bet.” Shaun kissed his daughter’s cheeks. “You’re baby number four, and she’s still trippin’ like we ain’t true to dis.” Sion must’ve understood her daddy because she laughed just like we did. Well, everyone except Yaya.
“Shaun, don’t make me cut up in Zoo’s house.”
“Yeah, please don’t,” Zoo hurried up and said. “The last time she beat yo’ ass at Auntie’s house, the front door had to be replaced.”
Yaya smacked her teeth. “Shut up.” She chuckled but then hugged Zoo. “Had our men all worried.”
“And homicidal,” Mariah added, hugging Zoo as well. “Being across the water with those two was a nightmare.”
“First off, we’re still homicidal. Zoo, come holla at us.” Shaun didn’t wait for an answer as he sauntered towards the patio door with his brother by his side.
Zoo glanced at me and smirked before heading behind his cousins. It occurred to me that this is what Zoo meant when he said his family was more like Godfather crazy.
Nosey, I went to the patio door that he’d closed behind himself.
“Sis, just know what they’re talking about needs to be kept between them,” Yaya stated.
Deciding that she was right, I led them into the kitchen for something to drink. Remembering what Zoo and I had just done in here brought heat to my face.
“Pass me some bleach spray,” Mariah requested. “Zoo probably had her on the counters.”
Embarrassed, but shocked, I died laughing right with Mariah and Yaya.
Zoo and his cousins stayed outside for over an hour.
Yaya, Mariah, and I got to know each other over a midday drink.
They were equally inviting and had me rolling with their stories of life with their husbands.
Coming from them, love sounded so easy. What I loved most was Yaya and Mariah’s relationship.
At times, they finished each other’s sentences.
It was evident that their bond was solid.
They reminded me of myself, my sister, and Bri.
Listening to them dug home the necessity of sisterhood. Having that woman best friend who listened to you whenever, and even if she didn’t understand your struggle, she still seemed to understand your struggle. There was nothing like that type of relationship.
When the men came back into the house, all three of them mugged us.
“Y’all in here laughing mighty damn loud and hard,” Shaun said.
“Just like y’all was minding y’all’s business out there, we can mind our business in here,” Yaya spoke.
Shaun chuckled, revealing his all-gold grill. His crazy was far beyond Zoo’s, which I found funny.
“Yo’ mouth smart? You look like you got a smart mouth,” he directed to me.
“Her mouth slicker than a muhfucka. Her and her big head ass sister,” Zoo chimed in.
My eyes narrowed on him.
“Oh, hell.” Stephan sighed. “Baby let’s go. G stay causin’ trouble, and I’m tryna sleep good tonight.”
Without hesitation, Mariah downed the rest of her drink, stood, and took her man’s hand.
Damn. Just the way he bit into his lip when she made eye contact with him had me blushing.
Out of the two men, Stephan was the reserved one.
However, I didn’t put shit past him. Especially when his hazel-green eyes snapped to Zoo. Whatever that look meant, wasn’t good.
Yaya stood too. “We need to get together one day for brunch.”
“Absolutely,” I agreed.
Before they left, I held my hands out to see if baby Sion would come to me. With a big smile, she came into my arms.
“Aww,” Yaya and Mariah sang.
I followed them outside, talking baby gibberish to Sion. Never did I understand when a woman cried “baby fever” until now. Holding Sion brought out motherly instincts in me that I’d never experienced.
With Shaun, Stephan, and their wives gone, Zoo and I went back into the house.
