Chapter 9 #3

“I think you’ll see that soon enough,” he said, grabbing a drink from the waitress and turning back to me. “Are you here by yourself? I’m not sure I feel comfortable with you standing over here by yourself.”

“Uh, no. I came with my friends. Actually,” I said, looking around him and seeing both Raelynn and Zaveah watching us from the other side of the room. “There they are. I should get back to them. It was nice seeing you tonight.”

“Indeed, I’ll see you at the office tomorrow,” he said, smirking as he stepped to the side so that I could be on my way. The entire walk to the other side of the room, I could feel him watching me. And, as much as I wanted to, I forced myself not to look back.

Now that my period was done, I was back to working as I did before.

I wasn’t one of those girls who could push through her period.

When mine came, I was down for the count and was barely able to focus.

I kept a heating pad and meds at my desk and did my best to limit the number of meetings we had to attend outside of the office.

But those days were behind me for another month or so, so I was back on my feet.

I had less than a couple of months before I would no longer be Sincere’s personal assistant and could step into the full-time PR Manager role if I wanted it.

I had gotten about ten job offers since I started working with Sincere, and I was still so thankful that I had been courageous enough to come up here and demand a job with them.

If not, I would’ve probably still been sitting on my parents’ couch trying to figure out my life.

Now, I had to figure out what was next for me. Did I stay here and remain loyal? Or did I find something that was more aligned with the industries I was used to working in?

While the music industry wasn’t my initial goal, I’d actually fallen in love with it.

And, Sincere was the only one who was willing to give me a job when everyone else closed their doors on me.

I felt like I owed him my loyalty, so I was leaning toward staying.

And, if loyalty wasn’t a good enough motivator, the paycheck definitely was.

I would be making damn near double what I did in my previous position, and I didn’t know what I would do with all that extra money.

“Here are the files that you needed,” Beverly said, tossing the papers down on my desk.

Sucking my teeth, I replied, “Beverly, let me talk to you for a second.”

I had dealt with her bitchy ass attitude for months now, and that shit was going to stop.

If I was going to continue working here, we needed to come to an understanding.

She could not like me all she wanted to, but I wouldn’t deal with her damn disrespect.

I gave her respect, and I required that shit in return.

“What can I do for you?” She asked, tapping her foot, clearly annoyed that I was keeping her from terrorizing someone else in the office.

“Look, I’m going to say this one time, and then we’re going to be done with this,” I said, getting up from my desk and coming around to the side where she stood before continuing.

“I get that you don’t like me, and that’s fine.

We’re co-workers, and we don’t have to be friends.

However, since we do have to work together, you’re going to respect me.

I give you respect, and I want it in return. ”

“I don’t—,” she started, but I put my hand up.

“Aht-aht, this isn’t where you speak. That was all that needed to be said. Treat me the same way you treat everyone else around here, and we won’t have any issues. Now, thank you for the files. That will be all for now.”

I didn’t feel the need to say anything else.

As she turned on her heels and left my office, I went back to my side of the desk.

Hopefully, she took heed of the warning I’d given her without saying too much.

I wasn’t going to work in a hostile environment, nor was I going to let her run me out of here.

She was going to get her shit together, or her ass was going to have to go.

“I’m surprised it took you so long to say something,” Sincere said, coming into my office. I wasn’t sure how long he’d been standing out there, but I was glad that he let me handle it on my own.

“Yeah, it had to be said. Hopefully, now we can be on the same page, and she’ll change her attitude toward me.”

“Hopefully, if not, her ass has to go. She’s good at her job, but I won’t deal with the unwarranted bullshit.

Now, I came in to ask about the deal with Kru and Lyric,” he said, taking a seat across from me.

He looked good as hell, and everything in me wanted to jump in his lap and connect our lips again.

I knew that I couldn’t, shouldn’t, and wouldn’t, but that didn’t stop me from daydreaming about doing it.

“Hey, girl, so we have a problem,” Zaveah said, coming into my office. “Oh, I’m sorry. The lady at the desk said that you weren’t busy and I could come in.”

“It’s fine. Uh, Sincere, this is my best friend, Zaveah. I think y’all met at the bar already.”

“Yeah, we did. What’s up?” He asked, holding out his fist for her to bump.

“Nothing much. I just stopped by to let Kenedi know that I can’t make it to the show tonight. I’m sorry, friend, but something came up at work. Here’s my ticket, find someone to take with you, and I’ll send you money for the first round of drinks.”

“I’ll just go by myself,” I said, grabbing the ticket from her.

I wasn’t sure what was being spoken without any words being exchanged, but the way Zaveah and Sincere were staring at each other, you would’ve thought they were speaking a language that only the two of them could understand.

“How about you go with her? From what I hear, you never take off from work much like her. Besides, if you offer to go with her, I know she’ll actually go,” Zaveah said, snatching the ticket back and handing it to Sincere.

Turning to me, he asked, “Would you like some company tonight? I think I can take a break.”

“Uh, sure. If you want to. You don’t have to if you don’t want to, though. I know she kind of just put you on the spot,” I said, glaring up at Zaveah.

“It’s no problem,” he said, putting the ticket into his pocket.

The way Zaveah ran her ass out of my office was smart on her part.

I was definitely going to curse her ass out the second I got a chance to.

She could’ve easily just sent me a text that she couldn’t make it.

I knew inviting Sincere to go with me was probably her entire plan for coming up here.

Ever since I’d told her about the kiss, she had become convinced that there was more there than either he or I were willing to admit to each other.

“Thank you for coming with me, I had a good time tonight,” I said, smiling as we pulled up to Sincere’s house.

He had insisted on picking me up from my parents’ house, but I wasn’t feeling it.

I didn’t want my parents grilling him or thinking there was something more than us going to the show together.

“No problem,” he said, turning to face me as he put the car in park. “I enjoyed getting a break from work with good company.”

As he got out of the car and came around to my side to open the door for me, I let out a huge breath of relief.

All night, I’d been fighting the urges that flowed freely through my body for him.

If he weren’t my boss, I would’ve already been kissing all over him.

But he was my boss, and this wasn’t a date.

I wouldn’t lie and say that it wasn’t hard to control myself, though.

Sincere just did something to me, and the attraction between the two of us was evident.

“Are you good to get home?” He asked, opening the door for me as I stepped out.

Grabbing his hand, I smiled up at him, “I’m good. I didn’t have that much to drink tonight.”

The last time he’d seen me have a drink, or five, I could barely walk straight. Thankfully, I controlled myself tonight and only had one drink. He hadn’t had any, though. He said that he needed to be alert at all times, and I couldn’t do anything but respect that.

“Do you want to go home?” He asked, lifting my chin and kissing my lips.

“No,” I mumbled against his lips.

I wasn’t sure what the fuck we were doing, but I was going along with it.

I wanted him, and he wanted me. I couldn’t deny the feelings I felt anymore, and neither could he, obviously.

I wasn’t sure how this would change everything between the two of us, but I was willing to take that chance with him.

I just prayed that neither of us had any regrets by the time we finished whatever we were about to get into.

“Then don’t,” he said, grabbing my hand and leading me through his open garage.

Once we stepped inside, I took in how beautiful his home was. I would’ve thought he had a basic home since he never spent that much time here. But now seeing his home, I had no idea how he didn’t spend every moment that he could inside of it. Hell, I would probably never leave home if I lived here.

“Call your people and let them know you won't be coming home tonight, and I’ll be right back,” he said, pulling me out of my trance.

“Uh, okay,” I said, fumbling as I grabbed my phone and let my mother know that I would be staying out for the night.

After answering a million questions, she finally let me go and told me to have a good time. I could hear my father telling her to let me go, and I was thankful for him, because with the way that she was going, I would’ve been on the phone all night with her.

“Everything good?”

“Yeah, just my mother being my mother,” I said, laughing nervously as I slid my phone back into my purse.

“Good. Come on,” he said, grabbing my hand and pulling me with him down a long hallway and then up a flight of stairs. The majority of the upstairs was his master bedroom, and I was immediately jealous.

“Are you nervous?”

“A little,” I said, honestly. There was no need to lie to him.

“Don’t be. I wouldn’t do anything you don’t want to do. And it’s not like we’re strangers. You’re in good hands.”

“But you’re my boss, Sincere. This is going to change everything about our relationship.”

“So?” He asked, pulling me closer to him. “And who says that change has to be bad. We can only fight this shit for so long. So, it’s bound to happen at some point.”

As his lips connected with mine, I decided to quit fighting it.

He was right, the attraction was there, the sexual tension was high, and you could only deny your true feelings for so long.

Whatever was going to happen was going to happen regardless of how long we put things off.

So, instead of fighting it and him, I decided to let go and let him do my body in a way that only he could.

Gently laying me down on the bed, I watched as he spread my thighs and pulled down my skirt, followed by my panties.

The way he licked his lips didn’t go unnoticed, and I prayed he knew exactly what to do while he was down there.

As I felt the coolness from his breath on my pearl, my body shivered.

It had been so long since I’d made love to a man that I couldn’t hide the anticipation.

I wanted him to touch, kiss, and slurp on my body in the worst way.

“Relax,” he coached, wrapping his arms around my thighs as he pulled me closer to him and covered my pussy with his mouth.

“Oh my God,” I moaned out as he began to devour my pussy whole. I felt like he was touching places that I never knew existed, but would never be able to forget when all of this was over with.

“If you’re going to call out to anybody, it better be me you’re calling,” he said, tightening his grip around my left thigh as he released his grip and stuck two fingers inside of me with his right hand.

That was it for me. I immediately began creaming on his fingers and calling out his name. If he could make me cum like that with just his tongue and two fingers, I knew he was going to do some damage once he slid his dick inside of me.

While I lay there trying to get my breathing back under control, I watched as he slowly slid out of his clothes.

The moment his dick sprang from his boxers, my eyes bulged.

I couldn’t believe his dick was as big and thick as it was.

I’d seen some big ones, but he definitely took the cake.

Watching my eyes, he looked back up with a smirk.

“Too late to turn back now. Unless you truly don’t think you can take it,” he said, smirking.

“No, I’m a big girl,” I said, sliding my shirt off as he got on the bed and climbed on top of me.

“I plan on folding you like a pretzel tonight, but for right now, I just want to connect with you,” he said, kissing my lips as he slid inside of me as far as my pussy would allow.

The moans that escaped my lips were echoed around the room, and those sounds mixed with the juices running from my pussy as he slid in and out of me were like music to my ears.

“You feel so damn good, Sincere,” I moaned as I held onto his body.

“You do too, ma. Better than I could’ve ever fucking imagined,” he said, getting onto his knees and pulling my legs underneath his arms. Now that I was loosened up, he kept going deeper and deeper, and each time he slid inside of me, he hit my spot.

“Oh my G—,” I started, but stopped once he gave me the sexiest mean mug I’d ever seen. “Sincere, I’m about to cum again,” I moaned as he sped up his strokes.

“Let that shit go, then. You’ve got a lot more to go.”
