TWENTY-FOUR #2
“Open your fucking mouth, Dakota,” he groaned against my lips. “I want my tongue in your mouth while I fuck you like the dirty little whore you are.”
I tightened around him as I lifted my lips to his. The kiss turned fast and wet as I obeyed him.
He gripped the back of my thigh, lifting my leg and I could feel my arousal leaking out of me. “Right there,” I broke the kiss and he pressed his lips to my ear.
He whimpered, and my eyes nearly rolled back in my head. “You love me deep inside of you, don’t you?”
“Yeah,” I sighed, nodding automatically.
“Yeah?” his voice held a taunt before he trailed the shell of my ear with his tongue.
I shuddered, the sound of him mocking me settling between my thighs. If there was one thing Kaden Moretti knew how to do, it was play with me until blissful orgasms rippled through my entire body.
My breaths turned ragged as I fisted my hands, desperate for a release.
He tugged my earlobe with his teeth. “Let go for me, pretty girl,” he pressed his lips to my ear and I did as I was told.
I allowed myself to let go, feeling my second orgasm explode between us, soaking him between my thighs. “That’s my good girl,” he praised and with one final thrust, his erection pulsed as he reached his orgasm.
A breathless whimper left his lips and I couldn’t help my eyes fluttering closed at the mere sound of his pleasure.
With a heaving chest, he lifted himself off of me and I caught my breath, feeling my body go numb.
“Kaden…” I whispered as he pulled out of me.
A tear trickled down the corner of my eye and silence fell over the room.
I tried steadying my heart rate as I laid, melting into the mattress. He eventually approached the bed again and loosened both of my cuffs.
Carefully, he pulled off the blindfold and I squinted my eyes, adjusting to the dim light.
My body felt weak as my eyes finally met his gaze. He gently cupped the side of my face, leaning down to place a tender kiss to my forehead.
A lazy smile danced on my lips but vanished in no time as I held onto his wrist. He lifted himself but I stopped him with pleading eyes.
“No, please,” I choked out, pulling him closer with little to no strength. Being in his arms was all I needed right now.
A beat passed, as though he was considering, until he carefully scooped me up, lowering me to his lap and I snuggled my face into the crease of his neck. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head, his voice tender. “You feeling okay?”
I stayed silent for a moment, then nodded. “I just want to stay here with you.”
His caress carried a deep attachment. “I’m so proud of you.”
Heat bloomed in my chest. “You are?” I whispered as my eyelids grew heavier. All I needed right now was to be in his arms. In his embrace, to feel his comfort.
“Yeah,” he confirmed. “But we have to get you cleaned up.”
I sighed, tears brimming in my eyes. “I don’t want to take a bath on my own.”
He gently cupped the side of my face and the warmth of his palm settled in my core. “You don’t have to.”

I woke up in Kaden’s arms and couldn’t be more content. I snuggled closer to him, feeling his warm upper body pressed against mine.
His scent lingered in the room, wrapping around me in a tight embrace that fed my soul regularly. I laid my head on his chest, gently tracing his tattoos with my finger. He had so many. There were big ones, small ones, words, names, symbols—everything.
His arms around me turned firm and I smiled as he kissed the top of my head. “Good morning,” I almost giggled.
His hoarse voice took me by surprise, but I liked it. Loved it. “Good morning, Dakota.”
“Did you sleep well?” I asked, throwing my leg over both of his. He simply hummed in response, running a hand down his face. “Do you feel energized and ready for the day?” I lifted myself in excitement and saw him laying back with his forearm over his eyes.
I pressed my lips into a thin line, fighting back a smile. “You’re not a morning person, got it,” I noted, laying back down.
My fingers continued to trace his tattoos until I found a random empty patch. I gently traced my finger over the area in confusion. Did he…?
“What’s this?” I asked, feeling him lift his head to look at his chest.
He sighed, keeping his answer vague. “It’s nothing.”
I shifted closer to get a better look and my brows drew together. “Did you get a tattoo removed?”
“I said it’s nothing, Dakota,” he shut me down and the edge in his voice startled me. Right.
I brushed my curiosity aside, and continued to lay in silence.
Kaden had never opened up to me about anything, ever.
I mean, it’s only been a couple months now but I had never even gotten so much as a smile out of him.
But, I wouldn’t let that get in the way of us, because as scary and closed-off as he was, he showed me affection in his own way, and I appreciated it. I wouldn’t rush him.

“All three of you didn’t have to accompany me to the mall, you know?” I said as I hooked my arm with Chase’s since Logan and Kaden’s hands were both full with my bags. “Your level of being clingy is concerning,” I teased as the four of us continued inside.
Chase found amusement in my accusation. “Yeah?”
“Oh, yeah,” I nodded. “Kaden, as a therapist, wouldn’t you agree?” I playfully asked and he simply cast me a glance. “Matter of fact, shouldn’t you know better?” I gasped which gained me a playful smile from Logan.
“We never claimed he was good at his job,” Logan added, and I couldn’t help but mirror his smile.
I needed a couple of things, and as usual, the guys jumped at the opportunity to personally escort me to and from the mall. I didn’t mind. This simply meant that I wouldn’t be spending any money, and would have three men to carry my bags. It sounded like a win-win to me.
I sighed, glancing around at the guys as we entered the store.
“Some warm coffee in this chilly weather would be perfect right about now,” I casually stated, and when I glanced at Logan from the corner of my eye, he grinned.
“Please?” I showed my biggest smile, and he nodded.
He left with Kaden, so Chase and I continued.
I scanned through a couple of dresses, and when I got stuck, I turned to face him.
“Pick one,” I said, holding both in front of my body.
“Why not both?” he asked, seeming genuinely confused, and I nodded.
“You’re right.”
I handed both dresses to him, and he threw them over his forearm as I continued. “I don’t think—”
“Josie?”
Chase cut me off, and I slightly frowned in confusion. Did he just call me another girl’s name?
“Who—”
“You wear dresses now?” a feminine voice asked.
I turned, noticing Chase had stopped walking. Amusement was written all over Josie’s face as she approached us. She walked with a limp and a crutch in one hand.
She was fairly taller than me with a luscious curly afro, and was covered in gold jewellery. Her dress was skin tight, stopping at her ankles where the tips of her pointed heels were visible.
I looked up at Chase—they must know each other—but my heart sank as I watched him, watch her.
He didn’t speak.
“It’s okay, Chase, you can speak,” she humorously chuckled, standing in front of both of us—leaning her weight onto her crutch. “Oh, I forgot. Giving commands is your job,” she teased, and a small smile grew across his face.
“Josie,” he finally said, and nausea gripped my throat, a knot forming in my stomach. That’s how he always says my name…
“No hug?” she playfully pouted, and I noticed the reaction his eyes had. Like he wanted to. But, he resisted. It seemed as though he used every bit of strength he had to not wrap his arms around her.
“As requested,” Logan humorously said, approaching us. “Never send me there with Kaden again,” he shook his head, handing me the coffee, and Kaden simply scowled.
Josie’s eyes fell on me for the first time in confusion before she turned, looking up at Logan and Kaden. Her eyes grew wide in excitement, and for the first time since I met him, a smile found its way to Kaden’s lips.
Without hesitation, she stepped closer, wrapping her arms around him and chuckled, holding onto him. “Kaden!” she squealed in excitement. “Oh, I missed you.”
That was the final straw, because that… hurt.
