CHAPTER 20 #2
Goddamn. This man … Perfection was a sorry understatement.
Jannie felt as if she might melt into a puddle right there on the bathroom floor.
A slow, impossibly sexy smile curved that mouth of his. “What?”
He damned well knew what. “This … this is what you’ve been hiding from me?”
“Not from you, beautiful girl. When it comes to you, I have nothing to hide.” He ran his hand over his now-smooth jaw. “You did an incredible job.” He turned to her, his dark eyes smoldering. “Care to test it out?”
Nick
Nick glanced in the mirror again, then had to turn away from his reflection, discomfort stirring in his gut.
To his eyes, he looked weird: much too young, and, well, way too exposed.
He hadn’t seen that face in many years, and truth be told, he hadn’t wanted to.
After his rigorous fitness regimen in college began to yield results, he grew a beard, erasing all traces of the former scrawny, ugly Nicholas Sebastian Kent.
A harsh new face to go with a hard new body.
And he’d been happy with it, convinced it would be his permanent look.
When Jannie made the first cut with the razor, he regretted his decision. But now, seeing the way she looked at him, fuck, he’d let her shave whatever else she wanted. His only regret was not getting rid of it sooner.
Slowly, she reached up to cup his cheek, and he closed his eyes at the feel of her hand on his naked skin. “Maybe I shouldn’t have shaved it off,” he heard her mutter, as if to herself.
Oh, no.
His gut clenched, and his eyes flew open. “Why?”
“Why?” She shook her head. Leaving the question unanswered, she leaned in, brushed her lips over his jaw, then licked there, flattening her tongue, the wet heat making him shudder.
“I’ve been wanting to do this.” She licked again.
Nuzzled under his chin. Parted her lips and sucked gently.
“And it’s even better than I thought it would be.
Everything about you is better than I thought it would be.
Which is probably why I can’t resist you. ”
“Why would you want to resist me?”
She studied his features, the intensity in her stare making his heart pump harder. “We lead different lives, Nick. This … thing we’ve been doing. Pretending I could just jump in and be a pilot.”
I wasn’t pretending.
“It was a great distraction and helped get me out of my head and put me in a much better place. And this trip. I’ve always wanted to see New York as just a tourist. I’ll never forget it.
For that, I thank you.” She ran her hands over his chest, her fingertips tracing every muscle.
“But reality is about to rear its ugly head.” Her hands were at his waist now, gliding over his bare skin, and the way she was going, it wouldn’t be long before she reached his—
He forced himself to process her words. The way she’d taken to flying and how much she enjoyed it, he’d assumed she wouldn’t want to give it up once she got into it. Had she made up her mind not to pursue it?
“What have you decided—”
“Shh. I don’t want to talk about that right now.”
“But why—”
His question ended on a sharp inhale as he felt her hand on his fly, flicking open the button, unzipping before he could draw another breath.
She pushed two fingers into the opening of his boxers, stroking. “God, your length,” she said softly, running her fingertips from head to base, then wrapping her hand around him. “You get so hard for me, don’t you?”
“Yeah,” was all he could grind out.
Her lips curved into a wicked smile, and he envisioned sliding between them, into that beautiful mouth that always made his thoughts go rogue.
Her eyes lingered on what she was doing to him with her fingertips, but then her free hand brushed over his jaw, thumb passing over his mouth. “No man should be allowed to look like that,” she declared.
He licked his lips. “Like what?”
“Like someone decided to elevate ‘tall, dark, and handsome.’” She lowered her head, and he looked up at her, marveling at how intensely she studied his face. Suddenly, she gripped his chin and seized his lips, thrusting her tongue into his mouth.
The woman meant to drive him insane.
He reached to pull her onto his lap and groaned into her mouth as she settled on his rigid shaft, her legs spread wide, grinding against him.
“Bed,” she murmured against his lips. “Now.”
He rose to his feet, taking her with him. Backing into the bed, he let himself fall onto the mattress, with her on top of him. He caressed her backside, squeezing, and tugged on one belt loop of her jeans. “These need to come off,” he said.
She smirked. “What for?”
“For a first-class seat on my face.”
Jannie’s eyes flared with heat. After another interminable stare deep into his soul, she pushed to her knees and hooked her fingers into both waistbands of his pants and boxers, yanking them off and tossing them across the room. His socks followed.
“There. Now you’re in my favorite outfit.”
He had to smile. “My birthday suit?”
“Uh-huh. I like to look at it.”
Jannie surveyed his body intently, head to toe, her hungry gaze zeroing in on him as he got hard as an iron rod.
And then she began doing unbelievable things to him with her hands, things that felt, incredibly, almost as good as if her mouth were on him. Fervently, he wished she’d do that, but she didn’t. Just kept stroking, twisting, and using her thumb across his tip with every pass.
She stopped for a beat. “Spread your legs.”
He did.
She lightly slapped his inner thigh. “Wider.”
When he did as she asked, she ran her fingertip over the most sensitive spot, just under the head. “Does this feel good?”
Nick gritted his teeth. “Too good.” She was going to make him lose it before they even got going.
She fisted him, pumping while squeezing the base hard with each descent. “Moan for me.”
A strangled laugh escaped him. “Men don’t moan.”
“Don’t they?” She brought her thumb to his mouth, tapping, and slid it between his lips, making him suck involuntarily. “That’s it. Get it nice and wet.”
Fuck, she was making him taste his own arousal.
“Good.” She pulled out her thumb, drawing it out with a pop as he reluctantly let her go, only to have her grip him again.
Nick closed his eyes. He bucked in her hand with every stroke, sinking into a dizzy erotic haze, his entire body hot, his ass beginning to clench with electric tingles that grew in intensity with every passing second.
“That’s good,” she said. “Now get on your hands and knees.”
His eyes flew open, widening.
“Now, Sebastian.”
Sebastian. Jesus … her tone … this was … she was …
Part of him screamed no. He didn’t do this. This wasn’t who he was.
Was it?
“People have no idea how to use their bodies and what level of pleasure they can experience if they set aside their inhibitions,” she recited sarcastically.
His words, repeated back to him.
Well, hell. If he weren’t turned on to the max, he might have laughed. But his reaction to her commands wasn’t funny; it unnerved him, even as her hands did things to him that made his eyes roll back in his head.
She leaned close, still jerking him, long, perfectly timed strokes that kept him on edge, nudging him to the brink, never allowing him to go over.
“I want to watch you come so hard that you see stars.” She squeezed him, then blew in his ear, making his entire body spasm. Then, she let him go. “Turn over.”
What? No.
And then, she did something that made his jaw drop: she slapped his length.
“Now.” Her eyes were twin blue flames.
She wasn’t taking no for an answer, it seemed.
Head reeling, he got on all fours.
“That’s it,” she murmured. “You’ll like this, I promise.”
For a few beats, she didn’t touch him again, and all he could hear was the blood whooshing in his ears and the sound of his ragged breathing as he waited, wondering what the hell he was agreeing to.
And then, he heard the unmistakably familiar click of a plastic cap.
His head whipped around so fast, he got lightheaded. Jannie knelt behind him, smirking, a travel-sized bottle of Astroglide in her hand.
Nick stared at the purple cap. “What’s with …?”
“I grabbed it at the drugstore.”
While she went to pay for a few bottles of water, he’d wandered off to check out some kitschy New York souvenirs. Apparently, Jannie had done some extra shopping.
He frowned. “No.”
“Yes.”
He started to shake his head and made a move, but felt her hands grip his ass, then slide to his inner thighs and up again. “Relax.”
Instead, Nick tensed.
That was when she pinched him so hard that he gasped.
She pinched his other cheek. “Louder.”
A guttural cry escaped him. He no longer had control over his voice—or anything else, it seemed.
She hummed deep in her throat, making him relax a little, and he immediately felt her caress right there, between his cheeks.
A pause.
Cool liquid dripped onto his backside, sliding down to his balls. Then her slippery fingertips glided back and forth, barely touching him. He wheezed with the effort to breathe as pleasure washed over him, her thumb inching toward …
No. He couldn’t let …
“Relax,” she repeated.
Her voice was soft yet brooked no protest. Her thumb was doing things to him, things he had never let anyone do.
No one had gone there. Ever. That was a part of him he’d always made clear would not be accessed.
God help him; it felt incredible.
Even the extra lube she dripped on him felt good. With her other hand, she reached between his legs and gripped him, while her thumb relentlessly circled.
Seeking entrance.
Jesus.
He needed … wanted … his head dipped downward.
Crazed with arousal, Nick backed into her and heard her hum of satisfaction as he exhaled raggedly, slowly but surely impaling himself on her thumb. She gently wiggled it.
Nick struggled for air. He couldn’t think, lost in an uncharted space where nothing mattered, and nothing existed except Jannie and what she was doing to his body.
A loud, long sound escaped from his primal core, and then Nick stopped caring what this was as his very essence plunged into a sensual zone he’d never known.
